All my casters will gladly accept either CSMG / Lancer combined with Acolyte
over Any possible combination of 2 weapons including Eagle.

The Eagle is fine if you slap some stability mod or use a turian. It's also quite wonderful on the quarian marksman. Works best with heavy barrel and clip mod.

Love how people trashed weapons at low levels. I remember when the PPR "sucked". Of course its underwhelming when compared to a higher level in Shepard's hands in SP.

What is this?  I don't even....

My Eagle is at X, Lancer is at I.  Eagle does more damage and allows for a better cool down than the Lancer.  If I had it at X, perhaps my opinion would be different.

I won't put it on a pedestal, but the point about it being weightless on a caster is what makes it special. Very few guns give that kind of punch without sacrificing recharge speed. I've seen the Hurricane's name pop up a few times, that's my go-to at the moment.

But.. PPR was pretty bad initially. Got really good after major damage buff, I remember.

To be fair, it IS a shooter. Powers have always been viable, but weaponry has had a history of being a tad weak in some cases. Heck, most of our weapons -are- weak, except with specific setups or exceptional weapons (when's the last time you saw a sniper on a soldier, or an asari anything with a shotgun that wasn't Reegar's?)

Actually, Sniper and human soldier sounds sexy. Can't believe I've never tried that. I'm going to go try that later...

Asari Vanguard with Wraith on Gold, Valyrie on Plat wreck havoc with Wraith.

reegar has good sustained damage but the higher burst damage of Wraith/Claymore is much more preferable.

On topic, I was one of those lucky ones who got 5 Eagle out of the first 6 operations. The argument that it was bad because everybody had it at low level does not hold. It was crap before they buffed it.

I thought the leveling up was a help in my quest to appreciate it, but in retrospect, the buffs they gave it were pretty significant:

(May 16)
- Damage increased from [60.9-76.1] to [67.0-83.8]

(June 5)
- Damage increased from [67.0-83.8] to [74.9-93.7]
- Clip size increased from 18 to 24
- Spare ammo increased from [180-225] to [192-240]

Nothing to sneeze at. Kind of supports wngmv and Air Quotes' points.

It was weak, initially, like a slow firing SMG.  But the high rate of fire combined with the heavy hits makes it viable against shields and armor.  It is one of the most powerful weapons to carry and still have +200% recharge (without wasting a slot on lightweight materials).  The Hurricane is another choice, that has similar damage output to the Eagle.  I prefer the less recoil on the eagle though.

Actualy never mind, just saying that Eagle is awesome even without heavy barrel. And it's propably the best secondary gun in the game, atleast for me.

Works wonders when you pair it up with shotgun. When shotgun CAN'T reach something, you use Eagle. And it does it's duties well. It weights almost nothing too, so it doesn't really hamper your weight.

I like the eagle and after getting it to level VI or so it became one of my favorite pistols

The Hurricane eats up the little guys quite well, but then so does everything.  The true test of an all-around weapon (not counting shield strippers like the Acolyte) is how effective they are against armor.  Granted, with the HV barrel, the Hurricane will do decent damage to Brutes/Scions, etc., but the Eagle does more, with less recoil and more ammo capacity.  I'm talking Gold/Platinum, where your survival depends on how quickly you can take down the boss units.

It's a good gun on the Cabal.

Yeah using the hurricane is a sexier pick, but with the Turian passives and the eagles better accuracy, its great for that particular kit.
