Don't really understand all the fuss about the weekend ops. Nobody ever said they would stop. In fact, if I remember correctly, BroJo & Co. did confirm during the Twitch streaming of the Reckoning DLC that the ops would continue in the future. I don't think that they actually meant these two ops as "future".

I blame Upinya for suggesting this. Not logging into ME3 MP this weekend was Upinyas idea, I know it was a joke but it looks like BW took it seriously.....I just renewed my live gold sub so I wouldn't miss out on the op that's now not taking place! Some reaper/geth/cerberus/collector is gonna pay this weekend, gonna take out my frustrations on them for sure ;-)

I think there are 3 reasons:

1. No operation this weekend
2. This blog entry: http://blog.bioware....-mass-effect-3/
3. Operation Lonestar was the biggest so far AFAIK and some of us could think this is a form of saying goodbye, just like the CItadel DLC.

If weekend ops are going to be scaled back, maybe it's time to incorporate some easier weekend specials a la Red Dead Redemption... 3x XP or double the credits.

I'm a bit worried this might be the case. They should make a permanent week challenge instead. 1 extraction against each enemy faction every week earns you a commedation pack each time.

I have to do long days at work this weekend so I'm kinda relieved there's no challenge this weekend. More time to spend with the family.

But there better be one next weekend, or my renegade Shepard might hack into my BSN account and post some serious ****!

With or without the ops I'm still playing mp for fun, but it would b nice to have more ops or atleast I'd they do stop them figure out a way to make the old ones into challenges for us to complete again( the solo ops that is)

I had a feeling their silence on the issue was because they simply weren't sure if they were going to be doing any more OPs yet. Or that they were simply so butthurt about it being over that they didn't even want tot alk about it. I'm glad it's looking like the former.

I don't know about you, guys, but this seemed to me more like delaying bad news to keep us grinded a bit. Maybe they do want to keep with the ops, but surely they're gettin through some resources management (like Derek being done with his position here) and they are trying to keep us with some hope, even knowing that atm there are no weekend ops planned.

My thoughts exactly. I can't help but think that EA is behind the "we're ending the weekend operations, but don't let your "community" know until 5 months after!" scheme...
