So with everything said and done, Kaidan or Ashley?

Which one did you prefer in the end, within the context of the entire trilogy? Its probably one of the most content changing choices one makes in the trilogy. I havent replayed ME with Kaidan, since i play a male shepard and always want to romance ash in ME1, so i never got the kaidan experience so to speak. To those who have played through both developments, which one did you prefer content wise through the trilogy?

Both.

Though I feel like the only one.

I like Ashley as a romance the most, and Kaiden as a pal, so I actually have her dead in 5 of my six Shepard's. Just never felt right not romancing her. She's the romance of my main Shepard.

Kaiden, easily. ME3 ruined Ash for me.

Most content changing choices? Eh... I suppose, even though the content barely changes at all.

But anyway, I like Kaidan better. He's less stupid and oblivious about the whole Cerberus allegiance thing, in ME2 and the early parts of ME3, than Ashley is.

After playing through the game with both characters... Kaiden, Ash can stay and baby-sit that nuke from now on with me.

I ended up liking Kaidan more by the end. He felt like a good friend to my male Shepard. Then again, his death is more tragic, so the sense of loss is more realistic...

Dunno. I think Ashley is more interesting in ME1, but to me less useful from a gameplay point of view, but I prefer Kaidan in ME3. So it's kind of complicated.

Maybe the best option is to run with Ash a lot until Virmire, then continue on with Kaidan for the rest of the series.

Kaidan. Ash was great in ME and her sacrifice on Virmire is still sad.

Kaidan, bros before hoes. Although in my case, wouldn't Kaidan be the hoes and Ash the bros?

Considering my relationship to both of them was professional, I did not consider them friends and will not refer to them on a first name basis.

I prefered Alenko more, he survived Virmire only to be shipped to the front lines in ME3 after the Cerberus coup.

I actually prefer Ashley (unpopular opinion, I know) I think her character is more interesting than Kaidan whether you enjoy her stubborn personality quirks or not. She gets on my nerves plenty but I appreciate that she stands out from the rest of the crew with her constant headbutting with Shepard and unwilling to blindly follow like most of the crew.

They both annoyed me quite a bit. I'd probably say Ashley, but just barely.

I'm not sure, it's possible. But in terms of on BSN it seems that Kaiden is much more preferred than Ashley. Ash seems like one of the more hated squadmates along with Jacob from what I've seen.

Kaidan, definitely. As much as I love Ash too, her character was spoiled in ME3 for me thus she rarely makes it past Virmire...

Kaidan. Although to be honest I really like Ash in ME1. One of these days I'm going to get her off Virmire alive. Maybe.
