If Ashley dies on Virmire she gets the Silver dagger and Nova Cluster award.

A lot of people said her character was ruined. Was it the Miranda's makeover or did she get on your nerves more?

Kaidan, he's from my hometown and he feels more real.

'Beef, bacon and beer. The food of my people'

It was cool to see Canada get some love in a sci-fi universe.

. She and EDI both tried to be the new Miranda.  Neither succeeded.

Ashley is (and always will be) my favorite squad member. Her character is the only character that makes me question my decisions while playing. All other characters can be convinced pretty easily. I like that about her. She also works pretty well with my characters from a gameplay perspective.

Still think they went a liiiittle overboard with her makeover in ME3. They could have split the difference.

If you're a Paragon, Ashley...
If you're a Renegade, Kaidan...

So they don't feel like redundant characters...

Kaidan. For so many reasons, though you can guess one or two of them.

To have an antithesis? Good logic and I agree.

Has anyone ever left their LI to die on Virmire? I kinda want to do a paragon-femshep who romances Kaidan and then loses him on Virmire, turning her bitter and more renegade leading to a relationship with Garrus in ME2. Do the games recognize the romance and death or is it treated the same as the regular virmire death?

Kaidan.

To me he developed far more as a character then Ash did.

Kaidan feels more like a nice-guy type while people accuse Ashley of being racist all the time. I feel like Kaidan would be more paragon while Ashley is renegade.

That's why they are better choices because they challenge your morals.

I like Ash but i prefere Kaidan overall.

Has a great vibe of best bud with my Shepard. Plus he has better content in ME3.
Still like Ash.

I actually prefer Ashley (unpopular opinion, I know) I think her character is more interesting than Kaidan whether you enjoy her stubborn personality quirks or not. She gets on my nerves plenty but I appreciate that she stands out from the rest of the crew with her constant headbutting with Shepard and unwilling to blindly follow like most of the crew.

DIdn't a survey show that most people save Ash?

Yes, 3/4 saves have Ashley saved

Kaidan > Ashley. I have 6 versions of Shepard, and she's only alive in one of them. Because I was curious. Regretted it immensely. Except for the drunk scene she has in me3, I did get a kick out of that.

Kaidan 100%. although I liked Ash in ME1 i never hear anything remotely interesting about her in Me3 that would make me keep her alive. It kinda seems like she was just meant to die on Virmire, sadly.

Kaidan, easy choice.

Is my bro. I romance Liara in ME1 so choose between Kaidan/Ash was easy enough.

As much as I didn't like Kaiden in Mass Effect 1, I must admit he grew on me in 3 a lot more than Ashley did.

Just my two cents there I guess.
