So with everything said and done, Kaidan or Ashley?

It was cool to see Canada get some love in a sci-fi universe.

A lot of people said her character was ruined. Was it the Miranda's makeover or did she get on your nerves more?

Still think they went a liiiittle overboard with her makeover in ME3. They could have split the difference.

If you're a Renegade, Kaidan...
So they don't feel like redundant characters...

To have an antithesis? Good logic and I agree.
Has anyone ever left their LI to die on Virmire? I kinda want to do a paragon-femshep who romances Kaidan and then loses him on Virmire, turning her bitter and more renegade leading to a relationship with Garrus in ME2. Do the games recognize the romance and death or is it treated the same as the regular virmire death?

To me he developed far more as a character then Ash did.

Kaidan feels more like a nice-guy type while people accuse Ashley of being racist all the time. I feel like Kaidan would be more paragon while Ashley is renegade.Bill Casey wrote...

That's why they are better choices because they challenge your morals.

Has a great vibe of best bud with my Shepard. Plus he has better content in ME3.
Still like Ash.

I actually prefer Ashley (unpopular opinion, I know) I think her character is more interesting than Kaidan whether you enjoy her stubborn personality quirks or not. She gets on my nerves plenty but I appreciate that she stands out from the rest of the crew with her constant headbutting with Shepard and unwilling to blindly follow like most of the crew.
