This.

I have zero problems with a video game character looking sexier than before.

This. And I didn't really see much of a difference between ME2 and ME3 apart from clothing and that can be explained away by her deciding to let herself not be so strictly focused on her military career to the detriment of everything else.

As for any physical changes. All the characters got touched up with moving from ME1 to ME3 and it's not as if the breast size is a massive shift.

But people love to hate.

I would love to see 2 soldiers together. One clean shaven the other with a beard. Each wearing a gas mask. Put them in a room filled with toxic fumes. The one who is clean shaven will be in better shape since that individual has a better seal.

The regulations in the Alliance makes no sense. Their ranking structure makes no sense. And the worst one is apparently that left handed saluting is allowed. That is very disrespectful.

@MassivelyEffective0730 if you do go somewhere to prove our might call me up I'll gladly help.

Hooah Brother!

Hell I'll even invite Han Shot First.

Marines have most of the same regulations we do.

Lucky bastards get to corner their cover and roll their sleeves though. And they don't have to deal with velcro. <_<

And yes, I do believe that American Soldiers have a superb and professional appearance. The military is not based on culture. It's based on professionalism.

US Army Captain Tejeep Singh Rattan.

He's an MD. And he got a LOT of **** for that. I agree though with the crap though, when you join, you agree to play by the Army's rules. None of that religious crap. This isn't about religion. This is about appearance and standards.

Also, note that you haven't seen any more cases of it. The Pentagon and General Casey put a stop to that.

Vietnam.

As I recall, we kicked ass in Vietnam. It wasn't a political victory or a popular war, and as far as conduct went, the Viet Cong and NVA were a different beast than we were used too, but militarily we were successful.

Bushy hair, facial or otherwise, can be a potential host for certain infections in the unsanitary conditions military personnel often have to operate. So there are practical reasons beyond gas masks for the grooming that many military organizations mandate.

The captain in the picture appears to be a Sikh. They do not cut their hair as a sign of accepting the body in its natural state, in accordance with the teachings of their religion. I guess he feels religion takes precedence over military regulations.

Not successful enough to win the war.

Thank the politicians for that. From whatever viewpoint you have, from a military standpoint we were successful in every aspect. I don't agree with the war, but be damned if we didn't kick ass.

You mean those politicians who started the war on the fraudelent premise of the Gulf of Tonkin incident, when US ships were attacked by their own shadows, then kept the killing going for years to resist the independence of this former colony, despite the Pentagon's own documents declaring the war unwinnable, because they didn't want to look "soft on commies"?

Are we really going to celebrate this tawdry episode?

No. I don't agree with Vietnam. I understand completely how it was started and what the factors behind it were. It was never a war we should have gotten into.

But we went anyway. And the US military performed superbly and admirably as a whole.

Point taken.

I always preferred Ash's look in ME1. I'm not saying this to strike a political blow regarding the portrayal of female characters. I just liked it more.

Have to love how some of the threads on BSN turn out.

A thread about Ashley's appearance in ME3 ends up being a Vietnam War thread.

It's classic.

As did the various other armies that were involved, surely? Like, say, oh.. I dunno, the Australian Army.

Collagen levels have reached an all time low. The US is moving in to liberate Ashley's lips.

I like how you use subtle little self-complimentary terms like 'manhood' to try to convince yourself and others into thinking you'd ever be competent in this sort of thing.

If it is, it's not one I've heard.

Maybe the Navy or Marines will know what it means. They love those things.
