I'm planning to get the PC versions of the game for the first time.
Will there be certain patches that I need to download after I install the games from Origin?

no idea i patch all the time before playing a game.
the one issue i had with me1 was textures on err therum is it, dont think a patch fixes that if it happens to you not sure think i had to edit a file to fix it myself
me2 i had a issue with disk 2 an to solve it i had to make a iso of disk 2 to get the game to install

they should all be the latest versions
@krul2k the therum shader issue is fixed by loading the config selecting repair and deleting local shader cache
