Armax Arena wasn't too challenging for me.

However it's those other mini-games that I find tough.
I'm having trouble with the following minigames.

Mech Punch Up: I managed to get past round 1, but was beaten badly in round 2.

Planetary Defence Game: Enemy ships come from a Mass Relay to attack your planet. You have to either send your ship to destroy them, or launch missiles from your planet to stop them.
I am finding this one very difficult. The planet I'm supposed to be protecting keeps getting destroyed.

That Game Samantha Traynor plays: How do I initiate a match?

The Casino: Are the casino games pure luck? If that's the case then no strategy guide required.

Any tips for the other mini-games?

Punch up just keep on blocking until they power punch then start punching them with normal punches. Then go back to blocking. Note power punches deal no regular damage, they just stun you when you block.

The defense one you are supposed to send ships through I think, I normally just blast everything but when there is a spawn in the last row I blast it while sending ships through. Also always start nuking them when the wormhole spawn, the missiles will hit when the ships come through.

For the claw grab game, I picked up a fairly easy pattern with the orange flashes on the top center selection and quickly got all the weapon upgrades. Unfortunately there are only so many you can get before it starts giving you credits.

It's a bit difficult to explain but as long as you know there is a pattern, you'll see it.

Oh, and the orange one will always come up to the one on its side. Its a little hard to explain but the orange one will always stay in the same spot until you move your claw over it then it moves to one immediately adjacent but not diagonal.

Thanks guys.

I find these mini-games harder than Armax Arsenal for one simple reason.

Armax Arsenal is what I've been doing since Mass Effect 1. Lots and lots of shooting, power spamming, meleeing etc.

These other mini-games test skills that haven't been tested throughout the series.

Some clarifications

Relay Defense: You get points for killing enemy ships. Friendly ships that are sent through the Relay affect your score bonus. 4x is max bonus. So when you get max bonus you don't have to try as hard to send ships through. Concentrate on destroying enemy ships. If a friendly ship in transit to the relay is destroyed, it resets the bonus.

Shattered Eezo (Rock 'em Sock 'em Lokis...) - As above, block until they start to charge. Typically you want to throw 3 jabs and go directly into a block. Occasionally they won't punch back after 3 jabs and will go back to charging, so just hit them with another set of jabs and then block again. If they start to do a charged uppercut, just jab into it, do not block. If you block you likely will be stunned, and that is typically game over at later opponents.

For the Claw Game, it appeared to me that the orange prize would always move to an adjacent spot after flashing a couple times. So just watch it. Also tap your foot or whatever you need to do to get the rhythm of the flash.
