Announcement teaser. I can't say I'm a fan of them sticking with the over the top aspect of The Third. I might even hate the direction the series went in. If I ever play this game, it won't be because I paid for it. Then again, maybe I'm being to pessimistic for now.

True dat. Still, I don't want Crackdown Peanut Butter in my Saints Row Jelly all that much. Saints Row 2 had a pretty good balance of absurd and reality. This though? It's just absurd.

I hate all the GTA and Saints Row I and II games, but for some reason I enjoyed The Third. It wasn't anything spectacular, but was a fun ten our romp.
Edit: Oh yeah, and those awful Crackdown games.

Spent a minute looking at various scenes in pause, and it seems a lot like Saints Row 3. Which is good considering that 3 was rushed and that it's not such a long time between the release of 3 and the development of 4. I suppose we can consider this as Saints Row 3 part 2: the missing DLC.

San Andreas is the father of all Sandbox Games. :wizard:

GTA 1 and 2 were silly (but fun)

3 was fun, but kind of a mess.

Vice City was fun, but a teeny tiny town...

IV was.... IV.

OT:  I long ago decided I would never have anything to do with Saint's Row again. I'm still bitter about how much of my money they got.

SR 2 was an awesome game, frustrating as hell, but one of my favourites of all time.

I'm not going to talk about the third one, because I want to stay in a relatively good mood. <_<

It's great to play a game that doesn't take itself seriously (especially when there are so few of them outside of the indie scene).

I had a blast played SR3 and I am looking forward to IV, it does look like they are taking a lot of things that were brought in the DLC and the cancelled stand alone side game to make this.

Looks like a dlc expansion for saints row the third. It's a bit too over the top for my liking and I've never been into this franchise anyways.. I'll pass on this

Meh maybe I'll get it. Unlikely to be on Xbox though. That console and my live account is so lively and full of folks I play with that I've played it a grand total of FOUR times the last few months lulz.

I can't wait for it. But from the video it looks like they're rolling the content of the originally planned 'Enter the Dominatrix' expansion into it. (aka. 'superpowers')

Ya when THQ was still in charge they stated that "Enter the Dominatrix" was cancelled and the content was getting merged into SR4, so if some things seem detached it's probably from fitting that content into a full release game.

SR5 will be the first post THQ SR game so that will tell us what Deep Silver will do with the IP.

SR2 was the most fun. Good balance of madness to story. SR3 had fantastic action and great graphic along side a character creator I want DA3 to steal so very badly. Still, SR3 leaned a little too far toward crazy storytelling for me and they took away layered clothes which was annoying. Still, I'll pick up SR4 for the hell of it.

You must have a pretty nice life to be complaining about this. you have heaps of ****ing options if you're not into goofy and unreal gaming. Quit your ****ing.

Saints Row needs to be crazy. The first one was kinda meh, and 2 was really fun, but only because it was like San Andreas. SR3 is it's own thing. It's over-the-top and ridiculous, but that's because Saints Row has an identity of it's own now.

That's what I think anyway.
