So, I've seen some reviews and vids. And I'm wonder just how good is this game??? I like SR3 a lot, but felt that at the end it kinda fumbled and got repetitive-still very fun tho.

So how good is SR4, cause I think I may trade in Splinter Cell Black List in for it, if its really as good as advertised.

????

Also, is the PS3 the prefered console version? Or is that just fanboyism at it's finest?

Idk seems like a giant expansion pack to me rather than its own game. Might get some time might not.

I'm just gonna wait until the game is 3 dollars and then pick it up. Just like I did with SR3.

Except for the occasional crash(especially frustrating if it happens over half way into the final mission), this game certainly trumps the Third, no doubt.

Welll ****. I forgot my username and password. Do i really have to email Deep Silver or is there a prompt during SRIV's startup that displays your site username?

Plus, there's no option to perform an account/pass recovery through email it's username only.

This is why I use the same username and password for everything.

Meaning once someone's hacked your account one place, they have access to all your account. Also, regarding passwords.

Also, @Hierophant, if you play via steam, XBL or PSN, your SR account should be connected to the relevant account, so you only have to figure out your PW. Can't recall off the bat if there's a password recovery service right there though, but I know there's one on the official site.

I left my opinion and review about two pages earlier.  But to sum it up I enjoyed playing SR3 and I am having a lot more fun in SR4.

For 50 bucks a game you can 100% in under 20 hours is a waste of money. Yeah it's fun in short bursts but after you beat the game you kinda run out of worthwhile things to do.

SR3 was outlandishly stupid and kept thrpwing stuff that you weren't expecting at you at full force.

SR4 can't capture that same feel SR3 had.
I should have waited until it was on sale.

All in all it kinda left a bad taste in my mouth.

It had its moments but all in all... SR4 kinda sucked.

Yyyy....no.

Can't say I wasn't curious about how that'd turn out though.

And now I am again.

Damn.

Also, I have to add:

I was kinda dreading the Dubstep gun, because, you know, reasons. But damn, it's fun. Addictive and fun.

I reloaded an earlier save to do it after beating the game, because I found out you got an achievement for it. It's just a game over.

I finished it a few minutes ago. Great Saints Row game or greatest Saints Row game? I'm not ready to decide. I need to come off my emotional high to rationally weigh the pros and cons first. Loved the final mission and ending. :) The credit artwork and post credit bit were a nice touch. I thought the final battle was a little on the easy side, but I'm willing to forgive that for all the awesome leading up to it.

Now to venture back into the Simulation and finish off my last twelve challenges for the challenge king achievement. >.<

If you are a full on completionist you pretty much need to pick the red door, has a secret Achievement (On Steam anyway)

I was over on one of the Saints Row Modding Sites and one of the Admins said he talked with some of the developers at Volition and one of the SDK modding tools they are working will allow us to play custom radio tracks in game, meaning you can play your own music on one of the radio stations.

Don't.

Just. Do. Not. Ever. Do that. With any game.

Makes all games that much more fun.

If I hadn't already overwritten all saves preceding that choice, I'd probably be doing that just about now.

Hey, I want to be fair in my criticism. :) Otherwise I'd be like, best game 4eva! W00t! ~runs around like a headless chicken while gibbering madly~ XD

That radio station mod would be sweet.

Judging by the threads on the SR site, i think i inputted the right username, but the server read my pass as invalid due to it being changed for some unidentifiable reason.

Let's just all take this moment and appreciate the fact that they took the time out and got the boss' clothes correct in the retro video game.

I was more impressed by that than I had any right to be. Attention to detail: doing it right.

Ditto. To all of the above.
