LOL, I love how they took a crack at the Mass Effect/Dragon Age romances.

The game has several Easter Eggs. Its pretty much the national lampoon of gaming.

I did what I said I would not and went ahead and bought the game, and do not regret a moment of it. From start to finish I had fun with it, the perfect game to break up the monotony of the serious games I have been playing. The only time I was not keen on was the character side missions, because I am the sort of person that finishes all available side missions before moving on to the main missions, but it was better then returning to the ship after every one.

SRIV was fantastic. The superpowers were tuned perfectly and all worked together. The animation was amazing. Might have been the best animation I've ever seen. All in all, totally worth paying full price.

Well, doesn't exactly say the PC version is the top seller of the three platforms, just that it's a top performer, especially compared to the third game.

Nevertheless, awesome to see the game is a commercial success. :wizard:

I thought it was supposed to be Mexican?

I have to say, I'm not sure what to call her voice to be politically correct? This is always something I run into, should I say  Mexican, Hispanic, or Latina... I just went with the latter because I wasn't sure of the character's nationality -- she never specifically says she is from Mexico.

Hispanic or Latina is fine/politically correct. Mexican is not...

Especially since she didn't sound Mexican nor said any Mexican slang so... yeah...   Actually there's a bigger chance it's not Mexican since Stillwater and Steelport are not Southwestern American cities if you just want to base it on pure demographics.

I don't understand, Mexican is a nationality, what's wrong with that? It's like saying a person is French, or German, etc.

Oh nothing...

But it's offensive to call someone from El Savador Mexican...
Again like I said there is nothing to prove that the latina boss is of Mexican decent.

Anyway I just finished...

Tis my game of the year... over Tomb Raider...
THAT HURT TO SAY BUT ITS THE TRUTH. BEST ENDING TO A GAME EVER.

Because it doesn't sound like a Mexican voice at all. It'd be like calling a British voice American just because the language was English.

It didn't sound like any particular nationality really, hence it's more appropriate to just say it was a Hispanic or Latina voice.

Yeah, it's kind of neutral. I really wish they'd kept the VA for the Russian accent.

I don't know, niether  DA:I or Tomb Raider 2 have been released so I can't say that.  Unless we're talking console generations then yes.

The Latina boss did use the word chingón to describe her badassery in SR2. It was in one of those random phrases she would use when killing people efficiently. I'm fairly ignorant when it comes to Spanish slang, but I believe that's Mexican? I've never given a thought to her nationality. It's rare enough to play a Latina protagonist that I didn't stop to fuss. To me the voice was universally applicable to any Latina character.

I think its more of a slang word that has Mexican roots. Because it's not used exclusively within the Mexican American community for sure...

Just goes to show how out of touch I am. XD I very rarely interact with any Spanish speaking folks outside my family. They're mostly older, prim and proper sorts; so I remain clueless about this sort of thing. :P Thanks for the clarification.

Really enjoying the audio files you can find around the simulation, they really flesh out characters from all four Saints Row games giving more incite into why they are who they are and what motivated them.

Well Until I got to Cyrus Temple's thrid audio log, most people guessed that was going on but I didn't really need that type of descirption
