How the Saints Save Christmas is out. I was surprised to find it downloading so early in the day.

Yup, you're right. Now I need to figure out whether to play it right away or save it for Christmas!:wizard:

I just finished it. It was cute. :) I think you'd get more out of it waiting for Christmas. It's not a DLC I see myself playing any other time of year. It'd just feel weird. Like listening to Christmas songs in July.

You can tell Volition either ran out of cash or actors ran into scheduling conflicts. Several characters appear without dialogue. Shaundi has the biggest role by miles. I like how they made existing assets look wintry. Traipsing through the North Pole in a minidress and heels looked both awesome and silly as a result. XD

The ending was simultaneously sweet, sad, and comical. >.< On a side note, licking the candy cane was totally worth it. :D Funniest part of the DLC IMO.

I like the ME parodies in this game...especially the romance stuff.

It looks like Volition isn't done with this game yet:

- Added support for future DLC

Even though the Season pass only covered Enter the Dominatrix and How the Saints Save Christmas.

My reaction: Hell to the yes.

I wonder what they're planning. I thought they were done already.

There is a rumour that a Mission pack revolving around Ultor Corporation may be in the works since the VA of Dane Vogul let slip he was working on SR related content.  Since Ultor was pretty much the only faction left out of the main SR4 game this could be it.

However some of the development team have said they have been having issues getting new weapons and other items into the game due to stability issues (two weapons were cut from "How the Saints Saved Christmas") plus there is only so much room on the map for mission icons as well so we will just have to wait and see what happens.

I honestly hope they have more content coming. SR4 is a bit short as it is.

Ah, found it.

The tweet is dated 9 days after the release of How the Saints Save Christmas, and I suspect that there'd be proper rumours of a new game if they were already doing voice-overs for it, so a mission pack is more likely.

However, considering how Vogel's dead by the end of SR2, I don't see Jay Mohr appearing as indicative of the content to revolve around Ultor, especially considering that the DLC packs for SR2 was basically nothing but Ultor.

Stupid. Volition has not fulfilled the potential of the series.

Bringing it to next gen and preserving the balance they had in SR3 of wackiness and drama. What's next, fighting bronies on Mars? Being ridiculous for the sake of it is not an improvement.

Not gonna play a Saints Row game without a player-created protagonist. That's half the fun lost right there.

Let me guess, the blond suit is probably Vergil? Poor Vergilius, always gets dragged into this kinda stuff.

I hope on the next SR game I can jump around on the moon shooting bronies and furries with a giant earrape cannon while wearing a ****** on my head, glowing high tops, no shirt on and very saggy jeans while eating Doritos and drinking Mountain Dew with 2X XP for CoD MW3 inside a golf kart with 40 inch rims, solid gold trim and a pink/green paint job.

It's a good thing I haven't picked up Saints Row IV yet, because now I can get it on PS4.

A question about Saint Row 2:

Does it have 1600x900 resolution? I can't find it in the graphic options.

Just a small reminder that "Gat out of Hell" releases today for North America (United States, Canada, Mexico) and January 22nd for the "rest of the world." Overall, reviews haven't exactly been kind so far what's probably understandable given the content and the price point (not to mention you don't play as The Boss).

I actually thought the being ridiculous for the sake of it started with SR3. It's fun for sure. It's just overthe-top stupid, not in a good way.

I'd say the balance you speak of is in SR2, if I'm perfectly honest.

Wherever the silliness started, we've still somehow ended up with Johnny Gat and Satan performing a musical number.

That's... quite the progression for a series. I don't think you'd have seen this coming playing SR2 back in the day.
