He didn't say Gold was hard.

I thought Pugz liked to pugs 'cause he's pugz, which I thought pugz was named after pugs.
Game just ended....all three guys died and bleed out on wave 8 and 9 early. Wave 10, 2 got executed and we managed to get the credits. 2 didn't extract....so yea typical pug lol.

Best part is when I first joined the forms and saw all these threads about how people hated playing "PUGs" I was like wtf man...didn't know the lingo lol.

One of the guys went down right at the start of the last wave and didn't get up...he was across the map. I said why didn't you gel? His response was, well look at the scoreboard....you are obviously carrying us so why bother doing anything.
loooool
Hey Ill play with you if you want GT in sig. I'll invite you I really hate pugging
Sorry man...just got off, been on all day. But I'll keep you in mind next time I am on gold or if you feel like getting Platinum credits I normally play with the same few guys daily, we usually always need one. Will be the easiest platinum games...ever lol.

I know that both gold and platinum can be played without consumables, but PUGs aren't skillful enough to do that...

Platinum is still platinum.
Gold is still gold.
Silver is still silver.
Bronze is still bronze.
Insanity is still to easy.
Go figure.

I just say F it and don't pay attention to what PUGz do in gold. On plat I kick if someone won't use gear and they aren't new.

Yeah, it's hard sometimes to find lobbies where people bother to use equipment.
I refuse to play with them because they never gel or use missiles, and tend to quit once they've bled out.
This.

Yep that is pretty normal these days. People gotta save all their level 1 and 2 equipment for platinum

Oh yea I kick constantly on Platinum. I get a lot of N7 100 or less joining platinum games with nothing...just doesn't work. We had one guy today, he wasn't too bad...at the end of the game he said that was his first platinum extraction and we made it look easy. He than went on to play another 6 or so games and extract. I don't mind helping people but at least put something on.

Well 2 of the guys said thank you at the end of the game and that I shouldn't be playing Gold because it is obviously too easy.
ROFL, you shouldn't play gold if you can carry our butts to glory
Plat players need a relaxing difficulty to go down to sometimes, but I guess we shouldn't expect gold to be like it was before plat was around. Ya know, back when people used to take it semi seriously.

I really wonder how many of us day one people are still out there playing.
There is no question in my mind the majority of pugs do not understand this game, I will however give them credit, there is quite a learning curve.
It`s one of the best games of 2012 and is pocket change to buy so now we have a new bunch.
It would seem the majority of gold pugs I come across do not play to win, in short they don`t care, nothing to loose as they did not equip anything.

It`s been that way for a very long time, time has changed. There was a time when one would not even think of joining a gold game with no equipment or you would be kicked, we have come full circle in that some will kick you for having equipment.

Part of it has to do with the manifests, I think.
If you're working with a Carnifex IV, or an Incisor VI, or your options are limited, you'll probably need more equipment. But as the Gold playing community has upgraded not only their skills, but also their weapons, the equipment has become less necessary than it used to be.
I think the players who have been around that long are also confident enough to forge ahead with almost any team. They will take on players, even without equipment, as searching for a lobby that contains only equipped people could take longer than it's worth (I know that's the case with me.)
After a while, habitual tolerence of unequipped players may have lead to the practice becoming somewhat acceptable.

It always baffles me when I see that so few people use equipment on gold/plat when I can go into almost any bronze match and see some guy overcompensating with level IV ammo...

level IV Incendiary
Level III AR amp

Not so sure about that, the vast majority of gold pugs will fail if not carried in my experience, playing with friends is a differnet game.

1/10 PUG golds use equipment.
The quality of players is so much better on silver but I guess since the majority of players play silver that would make sense.
