After the cool ideas in the headcanon epilogue thread, I thought it would be neat to see what ideas people had about how, in a perfect world, their war assets would play into the final mission. Whatcha got, BSN?

Here are a couple of the ideas I've had so far; I've tried to maintain a balance between having nicely different effects in the final mission, but not necessarily leaving a 'golden' ending reliant on specific choices during the trilogy (and thus locking you into one inflexible playthrough for the best result). Anyways, to start:

TUCHANKA RESULTS: during P: E, you face a horde of Brutes. If you lack krogan support, you have to fight them. If you have the krogans onside, you get an awesome scene of krogan groundforces, possibly led by Wrex/Wreev, clashing with them head-on and winning. Similarly, later in the mission Reaper forces drop in a force of Banshees, which you have to battle... unless you have full salarian support, in which case you see Salarian ships taking on the Reapers before they can deploy the reinforcements.

JACK'S class: if you put the biotic class on the frontlines, you run into them, and have to choose between having them take some heat off you, making for an easier battle but resulting in most of their deaths, including Jack's (in a badass cutscene where she sacrifices herself taking out the enemy, natch), or backing THEM up, holding off waves of forces until they can retreat.

THE NORMANDY: in the final run, when you face Harbinger and your squadmates are injured, they die right there on the battlefield... unless you a) made all the ship upgrades in ME2, and B) got Joker together with EDI, bolstering his confidence. In that case, he swings in in the Normandy, knocks Harby off-balance with a Thanix shot to the face, and scoops up your people before escaping, narrowly dodging Harbinger's blasts. If you did B) but not a), Harby clips the Normandy, causing one of the squad to slip off the ramp and die. If you did a) but not B), Joker cannot risk landing, although he buys you enough time to stabilise your two squadmates; you leave them behind injured but alive.

That's about it for now; more later, but I'd be really interested in seeing what you guys have come up with. If time and money were no limit, what consequences would be in your perfect Priority: Earth?

they were sent as engineers for the crucible.

Aralakh company would have been awesome to fight with.

How about this. You continue through the Mission and shep is cornered by a reaper. Its getting ready to charge its lazer and at the very last second it falls through a massive hole in the ground because the Rachni burrowed under the reaper weakening the ground the reaper stood upon then fell through.

Or just thousands of 'em crawling all over a Reaper, way too many to kill, working their way inside it using their acid...

I would have liked to see all squad mates, past and present (if alive) helping in the final push. As you continue your way to the beam, different squad mates appear to assist you in areas.

As an example: Jack and her students. If you put them in a support role, they cover you with barriers while you advance in an open area. If you set them as artillery, they nuke enemies trying to take you out.

You could run into an area where a door is sealed. If Kasumi (or Tali if not in your squad) is alive, they get the door open faster. If you don't have that support available, you have to hold out longer for the door to open.

Yes, I know Kasumi wants nothing to do with the ground war. This is just for an example.

In the event one of your squad mates is dead, then you don't get help for that particular section. You have to do it alone.

Assuming they are both alive there really should be a scene of Wrex and Grunt standing back to back fighting a horde of enemies, cut off from the rest of the advance. Perhaps with a bit where someone contacts Shepard (Coats or someone else coordinating things) and asks Shepard who to send in to support them and get them linked up with the rest of the Krogan again. A couple of options, either Turians or Salarian STG, not sure what the outcomes should be though. Perhaps having Kirrahe results in him making a heroic sacrifice to save Wrex.

I would have quite liked to see the various merc groups you recruited kick some ass, too, after giving you so much $£%& in ME2. Like, the Blue Suns, Blood Pack and Eclipse turn up en masse:

"Damn Reapers trashing the place..."

"Yeah, that's OUR job!"

'Nother one:

Definitely need a scene with the Quarians and the Geth, like maybe:
Quarians survive - see the fleet in battle with the Reapers. Heavy losses, see most of the admirals go down fighting.
Geth survive - see Geth ships in battle with the Reapers. Heavy losses, many Geth self-destruct as the Reapers try to assimilate them again.
Geth and Quarians survive - see both fleets working in tandem to take down several Reapers, see one of the admirals congratulate his geth counterpart as losses are minimal.

...although part of me also wants an Earthside scene with Shepard being saved by his very own colosses, too. ;)

Meh, I don't want to demand a DLC or anything. I was just curious about people's headcanon ideas. No biggie.

Promoted Galaxy at War characters in a cutscene

The one where the rapper attacks the squad in the apartment building seems perfectly fine

Yes!  Finally the forum I've been searching for!

I really wish Bioware did more with this.  I can't really complain now but you know one can dream.  The whole choices determine your ending could've been used to an extreme in the Battle for Earth.  It would've made the experience a lot more climactic.  There was just some much potential there even with the war assets.  I'll start with the big ones.

Rachni:  This of course depends on the choices made in ME1 and ME3.  If you saved the Rachni Queen twice then in the end there should be a few Rachni designed ships in the fleets.  In ME2 it's mentioned that Rachni designed ships were seen and it's the only way the Queen could've made it off the Reaper infested world.  The Rachni may have mainly been working as engineers but those who've played ME1 know their strength, especially the Brood Warriors.  I can see them now storming the Reaper fortification and overrunning it.  If the Breeder was spared then besides the obvious repercussions then at the battle instead of a Reaper and its forces being overrun they would be strengthened being led by the Rachni Queen.  It would be Shepard's job to destroy what he let free.  I also wished that you'd still see the rachni reappear on their old worlds even if the Krogan were still alive.  In the Extended Cut you only ever saw the rachni if the Krogan genophage was tampered with, Eve was dead, and Wrex learned of the sabotage.  You saw them treading Tuchanka.

Geth-Quarian Fleets:  I like what was said earlier here about the heavy losses if one or the other survived but the strength together.  I'd also have liked to see the fleets actually show together instead of just one or the other.  I'd also like the idea of the troops showing on the battlefield.  Maybe if the Geth were the only ones many of them would get hacked by the Reapers creating an event where a lot of geth would try to kill you.  If the Quarians are with the geth though than they give extra anti-measures which helps the geth combat the hack.  Those geth and quarian fighters would also be a nice touch.

Genophage:  If the genophage is not cured then of course there won't be any Krogan to help you (unless Wreav is leader).  If it is depending on who survived it would bean epic showdown. Imagine Clan Urdnot and Aralahk Company charging down the Reapers and firing those cannons into its eyes.  The epic showdowns between Grunt and Wrex and the Reapers.  An even more pumped up version of Grunts fight ending in death or survival depending on other allies or war readiness.  I think it would be a real feeling of achievement and really bringing the galaxy together if in their battle the Krogans fought alongside turians, STG and even Rschni soldiers.  It would really achieve the feeling of a united galaxy.

The Collector Base:  Now this would pretty much be the same but many of us know that because of the Resurgence Pack (I believe) that after Shepard took hell to the Collector Base that a few of the remaining
Collectors in the galaxy regained control of themselves.  I'd love to see them fighting controlled Collectors at Earth or just in the charge.  It would be a great added effect.

Leviathans:  Now at the end of the Leviathan DLC you gain artifacts that allow your troops to sneak past lines and indoctrinate the Reaper's own troops.  This would be pretty awesome to see the artifact rolled out and suddenly tons of Reaper units just kill each other.  Of course if you didn't complete it there would be a huge fight but you know.  I also think that if the war readiness is high enough and allied forces are steadily winning than the Leviathans have to get involved in the war.  Imagine a Leviathan in the fleets tearing apart a reaper with its tentacles.  That would be a awesome sight.

Now for the non major stuff.  I'd have liked an appearance from everyone on your new/old squad in the battle where they either died or survived depending on allies or war readiness.  Jack's psychotic biotic brigade would've been a nice touch as would the mercenary groups (oh the dialogue would be hilarious).   The various ships you collect as war assets should make appearances as well as the troops.  Imagine the Shadow Broker Wet Squad or the Elcor Tanks.  The Batarian fleet with Balak as its commander.  I'd like to see the Crucible as the inside crew tries to make sure it gets there safely.  Depending on the upgrades and fleet strength you'd either see engineers panicking and dying or working concise and making sure the Crucible is at 110%.  I'd like to see those weapons you can snag for the Crucible's fleet and the Crucible itself to be firing on everything Reaper.  Lastly I would love actual inserted characters from multiplayer to appear at your side or in cutscenes.  Depending on their strength and war readiness you'd witness your soldiers fighting or falling.  Imagine a Quarian Infiltrator shooting down a Brute with his Sniper Rifle or running as fast as he can away only to trip and be killed.  In conclusion there was so much they could've done that I wished they did but alas what is done is done and we can only dream.
