Nevermind that Origin was still running merrily when ME3 closed. <_<

Has anyone else gotten this?

Happens to me every now and then, of course after I get to take a look and see what's wrong it completely crashes.

Equivalent message for us XBL folks is "Lost Connection to EA Server," which was positively rampant during the whole Simcity debacle (concidentally during "Lodestar," I bet people DCing on Wave 10 or 11 loved that...)

Well, the "you have lost your connection" message I get a lot, but that's different, it's just disconnect, this is telling me that apparently Origin crashed... when it didn't. :?

Of course not like I could stop it from shutting the game down. :pinched:

I've gotten that a few times. EA's servers must be so bad that they can't even keep a solid connection to their own Steam wannabe.

Since Reckoning, it has happened to me a lot.
I had no sound sometimes after Retaliation.
And DLC issues after Earth.

Been having problems among that a lot. Couldn't play at all yesterday because stuff like that would keep happening.

I've never actually used Origin or Steam. I had friends scare me off Steam in the early days, though I've heard it's much better now.

A lot of people tell me Origin is pretty much like what Steam used to be, so I'm a little disinclined to try it, either.

One thing I've never had very much of a problem with is lag, or disconnects. I used to have more XBL problems when I was on a cable connection last year. Then I switched to Wireless, and my XBL connectivity improved tremendously, which was a little unexpected.

The last time this happened to me, it was 1 minute to extraction. So I sat there, watching everything move around with no animations (game was still registering and updating information from the host, but not doing any of the client-side work, like animations), waited through extraction and for the scorecard to show up before finally clicking okay.

Had my credits when I restarted. :D

Every now and then I would get that when I would close my friends list.

Well next time you use your Volus vanguard without a claymore this will happen too. :P

Lol yea, I noticed how I could still see everything going on and updating. But it was wave 6, wasn't gonna sit there for that long (probably would've been auto kicked too).

At least I hadn't wasted any gel... hooray for AIU cheese. :D

Never happened to me. I'm on console. Yay! I get a screen saying disconnected from EA servers. That's completely different.

This is an example of the created (ME3, BioWare) rebelling against the creators (Origin, EA).

I was going to say exactly this.
In all seriousness though, there are lots of different ways of saying EA/Origin can fail at a moment's notice and I wouldn't be overly concerned about this one. Next time you get the Online Pass bug, you have wholehearted encouragement to rage.

I went through hell even trying to connect to EA servers earlier.. Nothing pisses me off more than seeing that stupid disc in the top left spinning around for 10 minutes straight.

I think it *may* have been a Sony thing for us, at least. I played hell trying to log on tonight. My husband played online on his PS3 just fine, signed off, and turned on the regular TV. I went back to my PS3 and got stuck with "server maintenance" BS. Rebooted, then got stuck with a random error message. Tried again, FINALLY connected to PSN... only to have ME3 sit there trying to connect to EA servers for a lifetime. Rebooted the game, and FINALLY got connected.

Awesome 10 minutes of just trying to play ME3 MP. I was one more failed attempt away from throwing my hands in the air and working on my ME2 campaign instead.
