 Can anyone tell me if a scope increases hipfire accuracy equally as much as aiming when using an SMG?

I've tried using the search function but I really can't figure out how to use the search operators on this site, I always return 0 results when I try using any of them. Do I need to put them in brackets?

Edit: Hmm, meant to post this in multiplayer discussion, but I suppose it is equally as on topic here.

Yes, accuracy bonuses apply to hipfire. But hipfire is usually a lot less accurate than aimed fire to start with.

Honestly though, I was never too impressed with the accuracy bonus from SMG scope. Most SMG's are either fairly accurate to begin with, or so inaccurate that it doesn't help a lot, IMO.
