Yup! She is also a companion you will really care about. She is not just another average follower.

When she offers you something (money or ammo, get your mind out of the gutter), take it! Image IPB

You can choose to NOT take it?

Yeah, you can miss it or ignore it. During combat, she can throw you a health kit and ammo (maybe salt? not sure), but I've missed it and regretted it. Oops.

I might start a Bioshock infinite ending thread up soon. Full spoilers, interpretation, critique and debate. Any takers???

If you just wait a week or so, we can talk about it here. Image IPB

Plus, extra BioShock threads would probably be in danger of getting closed, as forum mods usually like to limit them to one thread per game in Off Topic.

It'll likely get locked. Its why BSNers always try to organize how long it'll take before they discuss spoilers in a thread-Mods and such don't care for spoiler threads. They'd rather everything be in one thread, which I understand.

She can give you any useful thing. Weapons, ammunition, health, salt, and money. Weapons seem to be at scripted points, though.

Yep. She's quite handy to have around. Now I just need to do a better job of scouring for lockpicks. Image IPB

Looks like someone already took your ending thread idea.

Yeah I guess. Its still funny to see Dutch names in games.

Hehehe, maybe Booker is secretly of Dutch origin! That would be so awesome!

Maybe he's from New Amsterdam?

In fact, he is. From the former New Amsterdam I mean, which we call... New York, New York.

Finished the game on PC. It's gorgeous if your machine can afford to play on max details. I played on normal difficulty, finished [according to Steam] in 15 hours. Not bad, died a few times, which is nice because usually normal doesn't present any challenge.

Just to be clear, because someone mentioned it previously. Money is easy to come by if you scavenge, and sometimes Elizabeth will toss you some coins too [love the animation of that !], but you won't be able to afford every upgrade for a gun or a vigor. So find your favourites.

I don't like the two guns restriction, but then again it forces me to switch guns and try new things. In other words, to play smart. On the other hand, some might say that its simply a console bastardization :P

And that ending, that freaking ending. Its like inception, meaning I like the concept, but I don't like the execution. Anyhow, solid 9/10 from me. Will play it again no doubt about that.

2 guns plus 4 powers :)
I love to blow up people with Branco then shotgun or RPG. They are so helpless :D
Its a good think they developed some "hit feeling", previous Bioshocks lack that, just cant be sure hitting them beggars or not.

Actually, the two-gun restriction made it so that I played most of the game with the pistol and the shotgun. I didn't want to switch guns for fear I wouldn't find the shotgun when I needed it the most. I really don't understand why the restriction exists at all. It would be like restricting you to only being able to select between two vigors, what would be the point?

Started an ending discussion thread that, so far, hasn't been locked. If you want to share your thoughts, here you go:

I don't think having two guns at a time will be a pain in the ass unless I'm playing 99' mode.

Then maybe I'll be cursing them out for it

As much as i am thoroughly enjoying this game (got to shantytown so far, 10 hours in, best game i've played this year, period) the vigors clearly weren't made with balance in mind. I really REALLY wanted to like murder of crows, seeing how its probably the most aesthetically impressive vigor, but its simply inferior to bucking broncho, both in salt cost and utility. same can be said for devil's kiss in relation to shock jockey

I really REALLY wanted to like murder of crows

I keep it in the interests of using the upgrade that plants murder crow nests if the crow victims die.

As far as the game overall, I was impressed. The whole atmosphere, level design, and minor additions(Rail-Riding, Tearing) are fantastic to the BioShock formula. The writing has almost a Comic Book-y style to it - it's Irrational taking a more Dialogue-heavy direction, and it went well enough. I can't say they weren't gutsy with some of the storyline, as it's going all over the place in a Doctor Who-esque Sci-Fi way.

Having said that, it's still a highly entertaining game and I really dug it.

If I wasn't interested already, saying the story is Doctor Who-esque would've sold me on it.

I've played about a 1/2 hour and sadly I'm having a lot of trouble with motion sickness. I mean even before I got to the floating city where all the surfaces move under you- just from camera shake. I just played 10 minutes of it and I feel seasick.

Sadness.  :crying:
