Figured I'd give this game a go.

Am I missing something or I can't save the game?

And at the beginning of the game, how do you exit/leave the shotgun carnival game? Every button I press does nothing.  Or is this a bug which means I've got to start over?

You can't save. It only has a checkpoint system.

Hmm. I'm guessing there is some logic, some advantages, something desirable to a non-save system that I, having been able to save games going all the way back to 1990, am just not seeing.

There's been games like that for years though, it's nothing new really.

There can be gameplay reasons for it, especially in Bioshock where if you die you are revived but lose money so the developers don't want to escape the consequences of failure.

It doesn't benefit the player at all from where I'm standing. Corrupt saves? Multiple playthroughs? What if I'm called away and need to quit at point X that's miles away from the nearest checkpoint? There's no excusing a single save slot controlled by checkpoints.

EDIT: I'm replaying it a second time and it just seems... empty.:(

Just finished this game. I have to say that its ending is exactly what ME3's ending should be like: sophisticated and detailed. Overall brilliant work from the Start to the End though quite linear.

So basically what I'm gathering is that WHATEVER the ending to Bioshock Infinite is, its the kind of ending ME3 wish it had.

I wonder if everyone's willing to wait for me to beat the game and come back before SPOILERS EVERYWHERE

Though since I plan to do 99' mode I can't ask for folks to do that

I'm thankful someone made a separate thread for the ending. The last twenty or so minutes of the game are very spoiler heavy so it was a good idea to make a separate thread.

The ending doesn't betray any of its themes.

So how anti-religious is this game?

It's not, to my recollection. Outside of stock music and a couple scenes involving religious acts, it's not really a big portion of the game. There's plenty of paranormal/extra-dimension events, but religion isn't a large theme of BioShock Infinite.

Enough to ****** off Americans as far as i heard. But it isn't, there are few scenes here and there but it's nothing special. Infinite doesn't even focus on these small events.

Doesn't matter even, people always complain about everything in video games:
- Fox News calling Mass Effect porn
- Fox News saying Bulletstorm will turn you into rapist (not a joke, i read this when game was released)
- Tomb Raider, when Lara gets attacked first time by an enemy in close combat, everyone complained because he is trying to rape her, (even though in the game he wants to kill you)

I could go on but i will stop, since this is pointless.

I liked the game alot but still Bioshock 1 > Bioshock Infinite.

Spoiler

I don't understand why they had to connect the events Rapture to it, it would have been better if Bioshock Inifite was kept seperate from Bioshock 1 and 2.

I'd agree, but I don't get why it had to be there in the first place, it just confuses things, I understand about the constants and variables but tbh they didn't need to involve Rapture.
