It is over. And the game seems to be getting top scores everywhere, even from respectable sites like Eurogamer. Lowest score I've seen so far is a 9.4 from Gametrailers.OdanUrr wrote...
How long till the review embargo's over?
Seems like the game is actually gonna live up to the expectations.

A good experience, yes, I am willing to assume that. But a short one.

As good as the game seems to be, why do I get a sinking feeling that this game is just another 10 hour experience?

Most if not all FPS games are short, unless if you count old Duke Nukem and Doom 1 & 2.
However 10 hours is pretty impressive for a FPS game but we play Bioshock games for story, world and characters.
I just hope the game will be more similiar to the original Bioshock and not it's sequel and also hoping it will have another jaw drop twist like Bioshock and System Shock 2 had, can't wait to meet Elizabeth.

Yeah, well, BioShock games aren't very long and don't provide much replayability. This one doesn't seem much different in lenght from what I hear. But hey, it's the story and characters that matters.

Since I always take more time to play games then advertised, I'll probably get a little over 20 hours with it.
I'm fine with that. Really interested in Elizabeth and her supposedly amazing AI.

@LPPrince
I saw the video on Elizabeth's AI, it looks to be one of the best designed following companion Ive seen in one of these types of games.

Still, not gonna pre-order it instantly. I always wait till either totalbiscuit, angryjoe or yahtzee give their opinions before buying a game. Also scroll through several forums to see what other gamers think.

Indeed. She looks very interesting. Probably as good as Half Life's Alyx.

I am particularly interested to hear Yahtzees opinion on the new game considering his opinions on 1 and 2. I pretty much agreed with his views on 2 (although to a much lesser extent, I still found the game enjoyable)

Same. Can't wait to hear what he'll say about it. And I agree with his views on BS2. Personally, I found the dual combat system and the antagonist as the only good parts of that game.

Agree about totalbiscuit and yahtzee but not Angry Joe.
Don't get me wrong, i watch all of his reviews and he always makes good and valid points but sometimes his reviews are just spot off and he also forgets to mention few things. Like in Skyrim, Hitman: Abomination and Ace Combat.
Although he has my full support on Saints Row 3, at least he rebelled against that game when all "professional" gaming sites rated that game 8 or 9.

Anyways, very excited over this game! 2 years of waiting is finally over. Gonna head to Gamestop first thing in the morning and cancel any calls for tomorrow (hypothecnically speaking).
The reviews have certainly been an interesting read. Gamespot mentioned that the game has a "Mind-blowing ending that you won't soon forget." Count me intrigued.

In 6-12 months I'll be able to buy the game with all the DLC at probably half the price of the initial release.
