I wonder if this game is right for me. I've seen people play it and it reminds me a bit of a more colorful Dishonored graphics-wise, but the waves upon waves of combat are a turnoff. Still, after seeing people play it, I am curious. I'm a casual gamer so I'd be playing it on easy difficulty, if it supports that option.

Of course it supports Easy. I definitely wouldn't miss out on the Game of the Year.

Elizabeth has noticed something heading their way from above. Booker is looking elsewhere and I predict he is about to take a baseball to the noggin.

Well that sucks :-( I thought it did really well with all the positive feedback. Don't tell me this is another Planescape: Torment?

Nah, you don't need to worry, Infinite will probably sell 5m copies over it's lifetime, which will be excellent. The problem is most of those sales will be at heavily discounted prices and the long dev time demands that the game sell's 2-3m during it's first few weeks, otherwise all that happens is Take Two have a amazing game on their hands but also a giant loss maker.

Remember the Square Enix thing with Tomb Raider where even with high sales it was still considered a dissppointment by the publisher due to the expectations created by it's long dev time? Yeah, this is the same situation, but potentially worse due to Infinite's extremely troubled development. I remember reading on neoGAF that during the game's development Take Two had to hire someone to come in and get Ken and the rest back on track because it was turning into a clusterf**k of a mess, that's just how bad it was.

This ofcourse leads to debates on whether dev costs for games need to be cut, which if it were to happen then IMO dev teams need to be cut. You do NOT need 200-300 people working on the game, or in Resident Evil 6's case, 600, most of them aren't even doing that much. I remember a dev coming out and complaining about how due to the large teams, you have situations where people usually do something like working on the different colour schemes of various armour, and that's all they would do for the duration of the games development, nothing else.

Then you will have stupid situations like 2 supervisors each supervising the exact same small team, and of course the obvious power clashes come about, where one supervisor tells the group, lets say in this case it's a small section of the programming team, to redo an entire sequence which the other supervisor had told them to do a certain way, this ofcourse carries on and on and this is why games get so messed up. Devs cut your bloody team sizes, most people are just there twiddling their thumbs all day.

That is an interesting take on this, Jonathan. Never previously thought much about how exactly gaming development works, and I see now why more doesn't necessarily equal better when it comee to dev teams.

Not sure how much 2K wants Infinite exactly to sell. i'm certain it will sell great, and it is still almost a month after its release in certain top charts (It dropped to second in UK but that was b/c of Injustice Gods Among Us and I would have been surprised if it hadn't lost to it).

Not like I really need a strategy guide for the game, since I've already beaten it on 1999 mode. But it was cheap on Amazon and it looked too pretty to go without. At least I can use it to find the remaining collectables in the game to get 100% achievements.

Yeah I picked that up to. I like flipping through and reading about enemies and the notes from Ken Levine, Im a geek like that, plus I really like the keychain as well.

It wasnt just tomb raider square did bad with, unfortunately, it was also sleeping dogs and hitman. Which is a damned shame because those all were pretty good titles.

They didn't do bad, they just didn't meet their projected sales. But don't worry, that's what the Japanese Language Pack is for.:D

If there's any. I find it odd that there's been not even a whisper of what the DLC might be about or when it would release.

Well 10 hidden achievements appeared on Steam last week, so it's possible we might get a reveal during these upcoming weeks.

The only info we have on what the DLC might contain is a statement by Ken Levine that they will be a 'love letter to the fans', which could mean anything.

And I approve of Elizabeth appreciation posts!

Stand by the guy giving away cotton candy and Elizabeth will investigate like she usually does. There are a few places this can happen early on in the game. One of my favorite of Elizabeth's reactions to the 'new' world around her.

Suleiman I (though later Emperor Sultan) but you are a close second, my friend.

And those are some awesome shirts / hoodies! I think I might just buy one, though that is not an easy choice. There are a lot of very clever ones. Particuraly this one I find very appealing.
