Don't see why quantity prevails in terms of enjoyment when it comes to games and the amount of time it takes in their playthrough. Then again, the longer it lasts, the longer the enjoyment.

I think you answered your own question there. If the game is good enough I'd be excited enough to buy it at full price, I want it to last as long as possible. If the game only lasts 10 hours and I feel that's enough of it, then It certainly isn't worth full retail to me. However, if the game only lasts 10 hours but theres enough replay value that I really want to play it multiple times thats fine. But that almost never happens for me in a game with a set protaganist.

But sure if the game is terrible, it doesnt matter how long it is.Image IPB

By the way, fun fact for you guys(ignore the rest of this post if you don't want a special difficulty setting spoiled for you).

There's a mode called 1999 mode that you unlock(probably by beating the game first) BUT-

If you input the Konami code at the main menu(I assume) you can unlock it right then and there and start with it.

1999 mode has more difficult enemies, sparse ammo, weapons, and health, less autosaves, a slower shield recharge, less money found in the world, and no navigation arrow. And since you use money to respawn, if you don't have enough, GAME OVER.

I think I'm going to start with this mode, if I'm an idiot.

What!!? You use money to respawn? No more suicide spam I guess. Or is that only with 1999 mode?

Hell if I know. Remember, I've never played a Bioshock game before. I'm just going by what Xbox360Achievements.org says on its review for Bioshock:Infinite.

Can't wait for Anita Sarkeesian to say that Elizabeth is just another stereotypical damsel in distress.

Just more two hours until Steam unlocks the game!

I looked around, it seems using money to respawn is just for 1999 mode. So basically 1999 mode is manually save crawling, since revives don't help you.

So I guess 1999 mode is the mode that's above Hard difficulty.

I would if I were a Time Lord. I am not, thus that'll have to wait until David Tennant stops by my place.

/better than Matt Smith

I loved Eccleston, but I also <3 David Tennant and Matt Smith!

EDIT: Oh right - I did preorder BioShock Infinite but probably won't be getting it until next week (I went with the free super saver shipping :P ). BioShock 2 was kind of disappointing, but I loved the first game and think the new one will at least be on par with it.

Does Elizabeth remind anyone of Belle from Beauty and The Beast?

She reminds me of her. Hardcore. Belle's my favorite Disney Princess, so this is bonus points for me.

One last remark. Did you know David Tennant is playing a detective in a new series?

I love British detective shows.:)
