I just caught the trailer for "Buried at Sea." My jaw dropped. Noir Booker and vamp-y Elizabeth? Hot damn!
Guess I'll be getting that season pass now.
If I were you, I'd wait at least until we get a release date.

Hmmm. Well, in truth, I had been holding off on getting the season pass until I knew for certain there was actually a story DLC coming, but I also wanted it to do another runthrough of Infinite on Hard difficulty and would like the extra goodies to help out.
Unless Burial at Sea comes out in 2015, I don't think I'm being cheated.

So yeah, I'll welcome a return to Rapture, in all its pre-war Randian glory, with open arms.
Also because dat Liz.

You get told the Season Pass will effectively reward you with some full DLCs for the price of one less. No guarantee that we'd like the content, though.
With Season Passes its always a gamble. You buy it under the assumption you're gonna like the content that gets put out down the line.

Only issue with that is when the DLCs start to roll out, you're buying them full price rather than at a discount.
Say the Season Pass is worth four DLCs, but is at the cost of three.
Once a DLC is released, if you happened to purchase it, the Season Pass is basically not worth getting since you're only going to get the next three DLCs for the price of...three DLCs.
Makes you wonder if anyone's ever gonna try a sort of ever-flowing Season Pass model, where you can get a Season Pass worth however many DLCs you want, and pay the price of that many DLCs-1.
Like, say there's five DLCs out for a game, but I only want two of them. Having the capability of purchasing a tailored "Season Pass"(it'd need a different name to be honest) that allows me to pay for one but get both would be cool.
Would certainly not be the best option for making money off of DLCs though.

Well, obviously, the idea behind waiting is so you have more information on the DLCs themselves before committing to buying an unknown quantity. Let's take this case for instance. The season pass is priced at $15 and gives you access to three pieces of DLC: Clash in the Clouds, priced at $4; Burial at Sea, part 1, priced at $15; and Burial at Sea, part 2, priced at $15. Perhaps this isn't the best case since it would be obvious to get the season pass provided you want to play "Burial at Sea" (because it's a two-parter). After all, you're saving $15 (50% off). And yet, it is because this information is now available to you that you can make this decision.
To make it more interesting, let's assume for one moment that you still have three pieces of DLC but they're all story-related: one focuses on Daisy Fitzroy; another on Comstock; and the last one on Songbird. Each one is priced at $10 and the season pass is $15. Well, perhaps someone didn't care for Fitzroy or Comstock but would like to know more about Songbird. What to do then? Do you buy the one you want or all three regardless? Bear in mind buying all three is clearly more expensive than simply buying the one you want.
Take another example. The Borderlands 2 season (1) pass is $30 and you get four pieces of DLC that are comparably cheaper (the more expensive ones are $10). Even if you only wanted 3/4, it's still cheaper to buy them individually. It's not incredibly cheaper, mind you, but cheaper nonetheless; and while $1 or $2 may not mean much to each individual consumer, it means a lot to the publisher when they reach the hundreds of thousands. Consider how lucrative a business it is that Gearbox has already announced they will release a second season of DLC.
Your idea of an "ever-flowing" season pass is certainly intriguing. Perhaps I'd prefer it if there was some kind of "stack effect" that decreased the overall price of your season pass the more DLC you bought or "stacked." GOG used a similar system during its summer sale where a particular bundle would be, say, 75% off, but each individual title in that bundle would only be 50% off. Thus, it encourages people to buy more in order to get a larger discount. Of course, there would have to be a certain limit to the stack effect or people would simply keep stacking DLC until they got a 99% discount!

I hated Bioshock Infinites ending.
Because Hypertime pisses me off.
Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to flee before I get horribly maimed.
Oh but I'm interested in the new DLC... as long as Hypertime doesn't mess up the earlier Bioshocks.
