I just want to say.

I hated Bioshock Infinites ending.

Because Hypertime pisses me off.

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to flee before I get horribly maimed.

Oh but I'm interested in the new DLC... as long as Hypertime doesn't mess up the earlier Bioshocks.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa, wait wait wait.

Hold on, no need to rush.

*grabs, pushes, rushes off to chair, forces a sit down, straps you in*

Its okay, calm down.

TELL US HOW YOU REALLY FEEL.

^ I don't think you will get maimed. I personally agree with you. I disliked all the multiverse mumbo-jumbo that they thrown at us - didn't make much sense to me.

But I give them credit for at least trying something different. Ending the game in Paris would be just... it just wouldn't fit.

Maybe, but Elizabeth could've pulled it off anytime.

Would've been best if it ended on Bad Wolf Bay, and Liz says goodbye to that Booker for the last time.

Why "last time"? There is no dimensional retroclosure, is there?;)

What i'm interested in is if this is a possible scenario where an elizibeth from another timeline escaped comstock by coming to rapture. She's missing the finger, so she probably got stolen from booker, but she doesn't seem like the same sheltered girl from columbia either, like she's been allowed to grow up in the world.

And if that's not the case, the question arises of where is rapture's comstock?

Normally it could be annoying, but with the scientific stuff that got thrown in, it makes more sense than usual.  It's a play on Schroedinger's cat and has some actual basis in quantum mechanics.  I don't know enough to know how much basis...

CHRIST, these challenge maps are kicking my ass.

But it's all worth it to unlock beautiful images like these: [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]

*snip*

There were a couple funny moments in there that I'm sure were easter eggs about the development process.  Like one dialogue about an artist who's been working for months and has nothing to show for it.

Same thing I did. It's not an ending you're supposed to "fully get" at the moment. I think you'll need to digest it for some time.

Oh, I understand the idea they wanted to convey alright, I just don't think they succeeded in doing so.

How do you think they failed? I mean, a lot of people seemed to understand it just fine.

Indeed, but there are more glaring problems before we even reach the ending.

If you want but one example, there's that bit when they go through the first tear. Why do they go through the tear? Because they needed Chen alive. But why did they need him alive? So he could make weapons for Fitzroy's revolution in order for Booker to then get his airship. But even if Chen were to be alive in this new reality, this doesn't ensure that he'll make the guns for Fitzroy. More importantly, though, who's to say there's any kind of deal between Fitzroy and Booker? The ultimate objective was to leave Columbia and they keep losing sight of it with every new tear they open.

That's absolutely true, OdanUrr, but I accept that Booker and Elizabeth are just improvising at that point, as they've otherwise reached a dead end in their quest. No gunsmith=no guns for revolution=no airship. The alternative is to give up.
