Ah, it didn't look that exciting, I'll wait till part two comes out and pick both up.

You'll have to wait for a discount or buy the season pass while it's available 'cause I think each DLC is $15 apiece.

EDIT: It's $12 on Steam. Not sure about consoles.

Ken Levine defends BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea Episode 1's length

From Ken Levine:

If you zip through it then it’s not a hugely long experience but if you dig deep it’s probably three hours plus, if you really dig deep. But it’s not the longest thing in the world.

I think there are definitely people who are like ‘Well, I want hours and hours of gamplay’. I think if that is your primary metric, this probably isn’t the thing for you. If you want to feel like ‘Wow, I just got a whole new experience’ – that’s what you get out of this.

Not confused but really curious as to what Elizabeth's end game is. I did enjoy what was there but it was quite a short piece of DLC.

Most DLC is 3 hours plus. Just because Ken Levine is there, doesn't make him any more special. What, do gamers think "oh, Ken Levine is the guy behind this, so I guess I'll get an expansion pack."

I finished the DLC a few minutes ago. Took me about 2 hours to finish. It was OK - it's nice to go back to Rapture and see it at its peak. However, there is only one new vigor, so combat does get a bit boring. Overall, I would give it 6/10.

I just finished Burial at Sea myself. My belief: The whole job to retrieve Sally was to test whether the Booker from this Rapture was another Comstock or not. Unfortunately, you were playing a Booker who corrupts to Comstock, so this Elizabeth stopped that from ever happening. Well, the Big Daddy stopped that from ever happening, anyways.

I was disappointed that the add-on ended so abruptly, but I found the experience worthwhile. I am not sure it was worth the season pass though, so hopefully the additional episode(s) are good too. Also, the combat was much harder. Harder than the default game or if memory serves me correctly, System Shock 2. I may just be rusty though.

Spoilers Inbound-

Just beat Burial At Sea Part 1.

By the way, its not Liz stopping a Booker that corrupts into Comstock- its Liz stopping a Booker that already corrupted into Comstock.

Basically, Liz was THE Liz from Infinite. Who were we playing as? A Booker that turned into Comstock, tried to steal Anna from another Booker, and failed;in the process beheading baby Anna(instead of simply lopping off a phalanx of her finger).

In Comstock's guilt, he got the Luteces to send him to a reality where Anna never existed- Rapture. There, he changed himself "back" into Booker DeWitt. Including losing his memory of his time as Comstock.

After the events with Sally in Burial At Sea Part 1, Booker's memories came back and he remembered his time as Comstock, including the beheading of baby Anna which led to his exodus to Rapture.

What Liz was doing was trying to discover if this was a Booker that was goodie goodie or a Booker that wasn't;since he wasn't, even after his apology, she resigned him to his fate- getting eviscerated by a Big Daddy's Drill.

How this leads into Part 2, we don't know.

How do we know that he wasn't?

I just told you. He was Comstock. That was enough for Liz to not forgive him.

I mean, there was alternate universe baby Anna DeWitt that was beheaded because of the guy.

So... is Elizabeth going to kill every person who's ever done a bad thing in their lives? 'cause that's a pretty long list.

Some might even say it's "infinite."B)

No, but she's going to kill every Booker that ended up becoming Comstock. Getting a baby beheaded is a little more than a "bad thing".

I can assure you that there's an infinite number of people who've done worse across the multiverse.

EDIT: Now that I think of it, a lot of those people are in Rapture.:D

Nice.

A good touch from Levine showing that you played Comstock, not Booker, was when he said "child" and the way he said it; Booker would never say child that way if he would even say child, and it was a perfect match for how Comstock speaks. That really creeped me out.

I don't envy those who forked out 15 bucks for this DLC or bought the season pass for full price at launch. Respawning enemies with this dumb checkpoint system is the laziest way to ramp up the challenge. Not to mention it's buggy, I got around 30 mins of exploration (and clearing the same room three times) wasted thanks to opening doors locked in endless loops.

So I suppose this means Atlas was holed up in the department store following Fontaine's "death" and got caught up when Ryan sent it down?  And I guess this means Elizabeth is responsible for enabling the New Year's Eve attack.

Elizabeth is hallucinating Booker now?  Or some weird quantum wizardry Levine'll pull out?  Well either way, I look forward to finding out more.  Maybe we'll see Suchong in person?

Nice touch with Comstock-Booker having white hair though.

Perhaps the Booker talking to her is using the same device the Luteces used when trying to give him cryptic hints throughout the main story of Infinite. I don't think anybody but him & Elizabeth ever noticed them.
