I'm afraid I'm going to have to avoid this thread like the plague for the next few days. Thanks to Polar Bear Express mail, I usually don't get games until a few days after release. But, to be expected living here. Still, I'm very excited for this game and as soon as I get it I plan on having a marathon play out of it.

Hey man, I ordered it from Gamestop with their free shipping option that supposedly takes 5-10 days.
I took it on faith because sometimes they'll deliver it here the day it comes out, sometimes a couple of days later, sometimes the day after release. I never have to wait that long.
Hopefully you don't either. But its best to avoid the thread anyway, especially if you're like me and take longer to beat games than those that rush to the end.

Yeah, I live in Northern Alaska. In a town of less than 100 people. Mail comes in by airplane. LOL.
I didn't get Survival Instinct and Gears of War: Judgement until Saturday. Survival Instinct was abysmal. Unplayable I'd even say. I had very low expectations of it, and it couldn't even met that.

No, a bushplane just brings mail every week along with some stuff for the local grocery store. I road in one once, never again. It was frightening.

So, I've been playing it for the last 3 in a half hours- gotta go to bed got work in 4 hours, lol.
I'll tell you this fellow BSN'ers. This is a watershed moment in gaming. This game is AMAZING. It's so good. If you got it play it- stunning. I have it on 360 and it's absolutely Jaw dropping. The art style, sound, lighting and overall presentation is fantastic. But the real star of the show is the setting, Elizabeth, the story and characters and combat- absolutely innovative and cool. I haven't had this much fun playing a shooter, probably since Halo 4- and it's better than Halo 4.
It's amazing. I might give a full review of this game on BSN when I complete it. But first impressions is that it's awe-inspiring.Easily a game of the year contender. And it might be the runaway winner, even tho GTA 5 hasn't released yet- so I'll try and be objective. But this game is going to be talked about for months to come, maybe years.
If it were to end right now, I'd still give it a 10/10- and I'm not even a quarter way through it yet.
P.S. Song bird is scary as hell. One bird you don't wanna f*ck with.

I don't have my copy yet, but I'll say this. A fight needs to happen.

Been playing for about 4 hours. The game is incredible and the only time I actually stoped playing was because I hadn't eaten anything all day.
There are a few things that are annoying however: the options menu of the PC port is lacking in a lot of ways, you can carry only 2 weapons at once which is a letdown ( I use an SMG and a Carbine, and I cry at the fact that there are perfectly good RPGs and sniper rifles lying around doing nothing).
Otherwise, this is a solid game. Can't wait to see where the story goes.

Played until now.
It's an amazing game with one of the best "athmosphere" i've ever saw in a VG.
Even if you aren't a FPS fans like me this game deserve a run nevertheless.

Vertigo. Vertigo everywhere.

It's quite spectacular visually and I like the 1912 feel they managed to convey, from the kinetoscopes through the dresses to the music. It looks like Dishonored but with a lot more color and a lot more steampunk technology.

Play Tomb Raider then. You'll have a few laughs climbing ridiculously tall cliffs and towers. Don't look down though.

Played it, but it didn't have quite the same effect. I think it's also that the buildings float around--something buildings shouldn't do--and it makes me a bit queasy.OdanUrr wrote...

And yeah, just to add to the already large number of people who are enjoying it, I am too.

For those who want to play the game on the hardest difficulty from the get go - Here's a link that tells how to unlock the so-called '1999 mode'.
