The Title Update has been removed by Microsoft. If anyone was worried about playing their copy of Dragon Age: Origins on their Xbox 360 whle this was present, you no longer need to worry.

We are still working on a fix the the issue introduced to those who did install the Title Update.

We are checking all versions of Return to Ostagar to ensure that there are no outstanding issues or the possibility of introducing new ones. Currently, we do not have an eta for the release of Return ot Ostagar on any platform.

When I have more details or information, I will let you know.

Thanks Chris.  This update provides more details about the current state of RTO.  Are you aware of any plans to change the information on the "Game Add-Ons" tab for RtO to reflect that it is not yet available?  Such a change would be helpful for the many people who choose not to engage in the forum and who head to the website first.

Unfortunately if you'll notice that was posted more than 24 hours ago...and again..this is not appeasing the seething masses on this thread.....they want more...more more more ...ad nauseum :P

I am on an amd core duo...4 year old computer works fine, I just make sure video drivers (Nvidia) and audio and direct x are up to date.

that is the reason i bought mine for PS3 instead. my laptop is supposed to be able to run it but i ran into problem with crysis and the witcher...i had frame rate issues on both...frustrating. especially since i checked the system requirements website

Just a lil chime in before I run to do my shopping. Paint me surprised, I thought Duncan kill that ogre?

And I thought this was supposed to be a forum without spoilers. Tsk tsk.

Yeah I'll apologize too...saw his post and responded....but then again anyone currently playing possibly "illegal" versions of the game have been coming on here with multiple spoilers...cause thats what the smug tend to do. hehehe

yeah. i really don't understand this blind fanboy mentality. i personally have a PC, 360, PS3, DS, Wii, etc and i know that most people are in the same boat. so why do we still have this sheeple mentality that one system is inherently better than the other. they are all fine and fill those little holes inour lives that would otherwise make us want to kill ourselves or strangle the homeless. chill...LOL

This is a backwards way to see it.
If you fail to deliver on your set release dates, the problem isn't that you set deadlines, but that you fail to meet them.
This means that your planning ability is poor, and needs to be improved, expecially if it happens multiple times in a row.
The "not giving release dates anymore" may seem the easy way out, but it's most definitely not the professional way out, expecially when you have a system like "bioware points" in place, and misleading web pages that prompt and encourage users to pay for the product beforehand.
When you take people's money in advance, giving reasonable release dates and doing whatever it takes to meet them is not something you can consider optional.

Actually EA in itself has been faily equidistant between Microsoft and Sony lately, so I wouldn't know how close their ties with MS are. On the contrary, in the last few months I've seen them lean a little bit more towards Sony. Now, I don't know if that's because Sony is penetrating the market at a very good pace with the price drop and the release of a new sku, or because of a few a tad overly aggressive moves on microsoft's part towards EA, that the gaming community at large had very little mention of.
Still, I'm surprised to see EA (that certanly doesn't need Microsoft's pocket change) bow to them this way

@JaegerBane: All I will say, is that you seem to work in an extremely forgiving environment. I can't say I ever worked in a single environment in which three missed deadlines AND lack of proper customer communication would not lead to very serious problems, both employment-wise and legal. So yes, I would definitely define this debacle an extremely poor performance. And I don't think this is "sense of entitlement", but simple pragmatism. When you screw up, you do whatever you can to make it up. That includes overtime, public apologies (normally from the project leader or even the company CEO), and very detailed communication. Unfortunately I don't see that happening, thus, I'm disappointed.

Since you talk about sense of entitlement, Be careful not to nurture developers' sense of entitlement of missing release dates and witholding communication. That's a quite damaging trend.

Tsk tsk...Abrigael.....picking on the forum goers again? :)   Just because you believe you are perfect..doesn't mean anyone else skips to your tune nor your rigidity of schedule.  hehe

Would you relax please and get off that soapbox?

Thank youuuuu :)

Listen, just because you want to continue to suck at the proverbial teet and wait in the dark with zero actual informative updating for us pc users  for DLC a good lot of us have already paid for that the're most likely sitting on for the sake of sitting on it, doesn't mean the rest of us do.

As much as you and a few other folks find any logic in doing so doesn't make it logical by any way shape or form. Though I'm pretty sure you already know this considering how upset you folks seem to get when ever Abrigael rationally explains why he and I and quite a few others at this point feel the way we do.

Its pretty much 100% undeniable fact at this point the DLC is fine and the title update was the issue, why it takes over 48 hours to remedy the situation and get it out to the PC users who were initially told wouldn't be affected by the console versions in the first place is beyond me. And really thats the upsetting part right there. So much for giving back to that core PC base that not only supported Bioware over the years but esentially gave them the success that made them worth the purchase from EA/Elevation Partners in the first place.

There's a lot of difference between perfection and the ability/will to do whatever it takes to make it up when lack of perfection causes problems, wouldn't you say so? :D

Anyway, I'm off shopping, Zara and Gamestop here i come.

Sorry Dave, can't see your profile. Are the characters you have used in playing the dlc past level 14 (i.e. having unlocked the 2nd specialisation option)?

There'snothing wrong with the DLC that's the truth..nor has it had any adverse effect on the game, nor has the update..im not sure what is meant to be wrong with it..but whatever is meant to be broken..it isn't for me. I think it was all about it being released early on xbl. The rest is just smoke.

Also, glass houses, let him who is without sin, remove the beam from your own eye... blah, blah, blah. EVERYONE has messed up as some point, so to pretend to be all high and mighty and pretending to understand a situation that, in reality, you know next to nothing about along with claiming to be able to do it better is nothing short of ridiculous. We can all pretend we know how to do everyone else's job and claim we can do it better, but then we'd succeed at making liars out of ourselves.

People who downloaded the dlc on the xbox have mentioned getting stuck due to a bug (locked specs i think). Are all those just blowing up a smoke screen? :innocent:
