So just because Bioware can't give us an update on where it is at then any debate we have is pointless? Wow. I'm now not surprised that you still suckle on your mother's teat every morning before she dresses you.

Seriously, there were possible reasons why it has been delayed that I hadn't thought of that came out in discussion last night, so I hardly see it as being pointless. if all you want is to know when it is going to come out, good on you. I am one of those people who also wants to know more than that

Wow that is a fantastic responce... Why is that not the first time I have seen those words in the last couple of pages. Either way thanks for verifying my point. Your complete lack of higher thought processes past a 5th grade level (really.... suckle my mothers teat?) proves my view better than anything else possibly could. You sir, (assuming a man) have made my day!

They aren't holding back release for no reason at all...that doesn't make sense.   Why would they deliberately pee off their customers?   That doesn't make sense either.

Contract conditions with corporate partners isn't 'no reason at all' though. It is 'a reason we can't divulge because then we would be going back on our promise that the consoles would have no affect on the pc version'

This is still the most likely culprit until Bioware says otherwise; which they won't.

Well that makes more sense to me.

It makes sense now? Thats only been suggested 20 to 30 times as well. I figured you were sticking to you "tin foil" hat excuse just out of being bored.

When you get over your high opinion of yourself maybe we'll have a decent discussion....I was still trying to figure out how this whole thing was affecting other platforms besides the 360.

If the update borks the whole game and not just RTO I guess that would be why Bioware is checking all platforms and why Microsoft pulled the too early released update...

Maybe go back to bed and wake up with a cheerier attitude would help you?

Just an fyi for you Mprez, I sat down and read the entire thread and have participated in this topic for some time. I know all the arguments from all sides. I understand everyones position even. But regardless of how anyone feels it does not change the fact that nothing will be done about ANY of it untill after the weekend.

I play on the pc so i sit on the side of the fence that has to "wait because the xbox is screwed up". Shouldn't I be MORE upset because MY content is being held back by an inferior version? No not really. It is content that I will play when it is released. Pulling on my own hair changes nothing in the grand scheme tbh.

but what I am saying is just because nothing can be done doesn't necessarily mean we can't discuss it. I am also in the camp of I don't care when it comes out because I am still enjoying the game. it doesn't mean that I totally ignore the fact that Bioware have not a good job in communicating with us; and it does upset me that they PROMISED that the consoles would not affect their service to pc users. While we can't prove that it is the consoles (and by this I really mean MS) who are the cause of the dlc being held back from pc users; it is, at this point and time, the best possible assumption.

And my head is pretty much the same as my avatar, so I have no hair to pull out. It doesn't worry me about the dlc. I just feel let down that I have supported Bioware for many years and it appears that they have not repaid that. I could be wrong, but I see nothing to suggest I am.

So if the title update is borked...then?  So how are these others supposedly playing the new dlc?

Because we paid for and downloaded it on Xbox. The title update was removed from the system so we can clear our cache to remove it from our Xbox's and the DLC is still playable.

Right because saying someone tripped over the server plug is just filled with intelligence.

And yes, you must still be suckling on your mother's teat if you believe we can't have a continuing discussion just because Bioware isn't here to tell us what is going on.

No offense to anyone but Bioware does not have "bad" CS or PR... I have dealt extensively with SoE in the past. now THEY are horrible. I am willing to let BioWare prove themselves before throwing them off the proverbial train.

Oh I love the teats, don't get me wrong... Why do you think I have been married twice. But to insinuate I am a child or childish or child-like due to the fact I have had a level head during this.... fiasco is just plain ignorant.

Hmmm..it's still not up and running right yet, eh? Well, from what I've heard from people that downloaded it while it was still bugging, it is short, the drops and items aren't very impressive and while it might squeak by with being worth the $5.00, it isn't worth the money and the emotional rollercoaster everyone has been on. I hope they are wrong but this DLC really has been too much BS overall. They have lost my confidence, and I really don't care if the DLC comes out now or not.

I was just thinking. I have never known anyone to say x companys customer support was good when they were experiancing a problem.

Even when I was that CS guy and showed up to work on a friends system. Hell I showed up with a 6 pack and pizza.

I'm sorry but this thread and others like it would tend to disagree with you. The Bioware team went missing after the 5th Jan debacle. They have pretty much gone missing again. I'm not blaming Chris, but SOMEONE should have come out with a statement yesterday. Even if it was an almost meaningless post. While I am sure there are lots of loyal customers, there will be any others who would have already given it away because they don't appear to have learned from the backlash they got last time.

Are they the worst? Nope. Have they damaged their reputation with their performance so far? Undoubtedly. The saving grace is that we have at least 2 other targets in EA and MS that are likely just as, if not more, responsible.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chris, or someone else from Bioware, wasn't screaming to give us an update and being told no. the simple point is they damaged the 360 user experience - and we aren't talking a simple glitch here - and they have made no comment in over 24 hours. Whatever way you look at it, that is not good communication and/or service.

Too true, everything seems worse during whatever issue is occuring. But I have seen good CS.. Usually not from a game company, but i love my electric and phone companies.. Does that count?

In all seriousness though, with any issue related to programming the guys at BioWare could be required to go through thousands of lines of code to pinpoint one letter out of place. I try to give them a break because I know what a b!tch it can be.

Would have to agree...there's going to have to be some sort of damage control or face-saving here.   Sad..they did so well with the main campaign.

And I agree with you there. Something could have or should have been posted. But you make a great point. Someone has to ALLOW someone else to do those things. I get it. I actually e-mailed the SoE head one time directly due to SoEs bs (and got a reply lol). The biggest problem with the entire thing is that we as the players have no clue who that 1st someone is. Who is the man behind the curtain? It would far easier if we all had someone to point the finger at but we don't. And because of that simple fact, we argue with each other, and a lot of people have claimed "ZOMG end of the world" scenarios.

Look, I didn't really have any reason to use the suckling on the teat comment - and to be fair everyone loves to. But you basically said there was no point talking because Bioware weren't going to provide us with an update. That, to me, is not a level headed comment because it insinuates we need them holding our hand.

Yes everything we say is pure speculation and we won't get anywhere by continuing to discuss it. But surely it shows Bioware that there is huge passion for this game in the community that we continue to discuss it even though we know they are not there to provide us with a glimmer of hope. And that is important to me, because if we show them how much we do care, then they can show the higher ups that we deserve to be treated a bit better.

or it will just show them they can do whatever they want and they will still retain a decent fan base....but I like to be optimistic..
