You're looking rather short sighted at
the situation if you think those two responses will not cause just as
much if not more of a problem for pr.
I will be honest with you. Even as someone that actually works on marketing and PR for a living (and as such can relate), at the moment I can't really care the less about their PR problems.
There's a threshold in PR beyond which it's time to stop worrying about your problems and start damage control not to disappoint your customers further. After two delays and what happened today, I would say we're well past that threshold.
When that happens clear and transparent communication is basically the only realistic and the least damaging solution for all parties involved.

I understand what you're saying. What I'm saying is that it's hard to communicate if you don't know what the problem is. Not to mention that even if they did know, developers tend to be pretty tight-lipped when it comes to this sort of thing.
Monica, they're a professional software house with many years of work behind their backs. They aren't completely in the dark in this situation and for sure they have plans and a roadmap.
Now, if they still chose to be tight lipped after they slapped us on a rollercoaster and twystered us for a month, while taking our money and yet not delivering, it's their choice. Like it's my choice to be disappointed about it. Don't you think so?
From my point of view, we are to a point in which being tight-lipped is only further damaging. It's the worst method of damage control, while a good damage control is exactly what they would need now.
Oh, about this:
"Update 2: According to BioWare
The PC version will be available by tomorrow morning and the PS3version will be available at a later date."
This was before the whole xbox 360 mess, so don't take it for granted.
