i'm very worried that the expansion pack is going to make my pc blow up. I mean they already gave a date on it, and if they rush to meet that date and over look something... who knows what could happen. Either way it looks like they need to completley overhall how they do DLC. In fact they should stop doing DLC and the expansion pack until what they have works. I don't like the fact that talking to shale causes me to magically appear in "the land without smiles"

Interesting..you have piqued my curiosity...where is the "land without smiles"  ....Deep Roads?  hehe

It's all growing pains, since juggling three platforms, by definition, will result in certain balls dropping.

My prediction is BioWare will smarten up and concentrate on PC *first.*  Once it's out for the PC, the console strokers can get theirs eventually ;P

smarten up and concentrate on pc first huh. love how pc user's think they are entitled to everything first.

Hi all,

I just need some clarification on this issue. I did have the force update a few days ago and of course my all my specialization is now locked. I am not connected to Live afterwards to avoid further damage done to my game saves. I tried the work around method people are suggesting here. (refresh the cache, kill the update and unlock another specialization. I re-earned my Berserker class that I have before but every other class stays locked.

My question is.. do I need to connect back to Live in order to get every other classes back?

Thanks in advance.

Bouhouhou! I've read about a 'bioware button' hidden somewhere in the 1st thread (by x priesley )but can't find it?

I can see written 'bioware' in blue(under priesley name) but unclickable for me. Or a bluish thingie just before the title but it's getting me back on the forum's general titles...nothing else.

I understood it leads directly to Bioware posts (though it seems they've forgotten us for a while....)Where is the damn thing precisely please?

Good Lord. Do you still ****** the bed?

yes ass hole, i do still ****** the bed. Nightmares of the overland variable glitch cause me to lose control of my bladder. To think my entire Baldur's Gate game was ruined from a glitch in an expansion pack. I don't feel my fears are unwarrented.

Unlock any spec, then exit and shutdown the console.  Then boot back up and load your game, everything should be cool.

"the land without smiles" is a term me and my friend coined referring to any area in a video game that is off a map, preferably one that is mostly black. We came up with it when we were in middle school. This is also when nickolodeon had good shows on it. There was a show called Rugrats and they went to a childrens movie that was like a spoof of care bares. I think the princess bear was dieing or something, and that would cause earth to turn into "The land without smiles." One time i was playing enter the matrix with my friend, and i fell of the map. And i said very dramatically "I have fallen into the land without smiles." It was funny so now thats what i call bad areas of the map.

though yes the deep roads is an area where few people smile, though i swear the brood mother was grinning at me while groping its uppper middle right ******.

What I've found as a PC gamer is that people who use the PC as a games platform rarely get anything first, it was months before Mass effect was released on the PC after it was on consoles. RTO is an example of how the PC is never given priority over consoles, we know that RTO is ready for the PC and PS3, but wont be released until it's ready for the Xbox.

Well that is a far cry from blowing up your computer now, isn't it.
Naturally you feel your fears are unwarranted, after all, there is no way to un-install and then re-install a game....they should put that feature on computers, like they did the interwebs and stuff.

i wasn't speaking litteraly about a computer exploding, I was exagerating. And if I recall correctly moving the save files to your documents, then uninstalling/reinstalling the tales of the swords coast did nothing to save your files. If your only files were from after the glitch occuring then you were screwed! Also I dont think I could survive having to reinstall Dragon Age. There would be a fifteen minute period where my computer didnt have it... it'd be like having to go back in time to a horrible past. Imagine having to live in a time period without a microwave for fifteen minutes! what if you had the soup, you had the casarole!  BUT THERE WAS NO MICROWAVE! what do you expect me to do? use the stovetop!  NO! I WONT GO BACK TO A TIME BEFORE DRAGON AGE! YOU CANT MAKE ME!

I have downloaded the update and the DLC but i have erased the update before playing the game with the DLC.

I still can play with Return to Ostagar and my group of characters have all their specializations unlocked like before (level 22), but i can't unlock the achievement for RTO. I have played the DLC a second time with another character and i can't unlock the achievement.

So it seems that the update is necessary for the RTO achievement...
