Where did the Bioware icon go on the forum topics list that let you just see Bioware answers? I really don't feel like reading 117 pages of people cursing at each other to find out what's going on =/

Top of thread, blue bioware tag, click the tag itself...only moderators and employees show up.

Oh wait OUTSIDE of this thread in the forum itself.

i wasn't speaking litteraly about a computer exploding, I was exagerating. And if I recall correctly moving the save files to your documents, then uninstalling/reinstalling the tales of the swords coast did nothing to save your files. If your only files were from after the glitch occuring then you were screwed! Also I dont think I could survive having to reinstall Dragon Age. There would be a fifteen minute period where my computer didnt have it... it'd be like having to go back in time to a horrible past. Imagine having to live in a time period without a microwave for fifteen minutes! what if you had the soup, you had the casarole!  BUT THERE WAS NO MICROWAVE! what do you expect me to do? use the stovetop!  NO! I WONT GO BACK TO A TIME BEFORE DRAGON AGE! YOU CANT MAKE ME!

  Drax approves + 15 for the sense of humor.

Really, you shouldn't have saved your saves, seeing as they were corrupted, been there ya know.
But still, you should have known how corrupted this thread is and any info will have people demanding new machines because BioWare intentionally destroyed their computers. Then BioWare will end up locking the whole website and PANDAMONIUM WILL REIN and...uhh..well err..

But I'm right there with you on the Microwave thing, I'm not putting up with slow cooking appliances, unless somebody else  is using them of course.

I can see a tiny square where the logo SHOULD be when using Internet Explorer. And I see nothing at all when using Firefox. Ah well..hopefully it gets fixed. The threads get preeettty long and after a while, impossible to navigate without that button.

Danish I think, is difficult to understand and northern Norwegian perhaps.

Danish is the one you understand 1 out of 10 words.

Maybe that says more of the Dane's intelligence than yours :P (Undskyld, Kunne ikke lade være.) Sorry, had to make a stand for us Danes :bandit:

Yes it was really intelligent to say [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/wizard.png[/smilie]

Indeed...I've been attempting to see if there was more infos elsewhere ..such as the greywarden's site,  seems a little bit more than the brief posts the Moderators and Employees have done, but nothing really..informative.

Even though I'm 99% sure this has probably been addressed in this thread, I'm lazy and don't feel like looking through every post to find out...

I downloaded RtO and the title update the other day, which of course locks me out of specialization skills on new characters. Didn't matter as I was in the middle of a character. I finished with that character last night. I decided to start a new character. I emptied my 360 cache so I could dump the update and I still don't have my specialization skills.

Do I just need to delete the previous character and clear my cache again, or am I simply going to need to wait until Bioware releases a patch (my guess is sometime next week)?

Good to know BioWare works weekends when they're faced with a crisis of rampant customer dissatisfaction.
Or is it against the law to work a Saturday in Canada?

In my business (auto and truck damage assessments) when the **** hits the fan, you work on Saturday. Might only happen a few times a year, but if the customers need it done, I'm willing to put in the time and my company is willing to pay for it.

Then again, we can't count and take advantage of the enormous leeway the video game fanboys offer. We actually have to earn our customer loyalty, every week, on every project.

BioWare, in a business sense, are the equivalent of absolutely spoiled rotten children. Their complete lack of care in addressing the customers this week is... basically downright insulting.

Then again, as I've stated before, Chris's "official" statements are always self-serving, and often directly profitable for the company (DLC ready today!!!), despite the fact that what little information there is is usually flat-out wrong. So perhaps it's good that he isn't saying anything, but you'd think someone would step up and try to do some PR at least. You'd think we could at least get that for the money we've wasted, not that it really matters.

Hell yes!  I can confirm that clearing the system cache does work.  I'm fairly certain that it fixes pretty much everything (restores profile data, as I think the problem the patch caused was preventing you from accessing it, including achievement progress.  After doing the cache clearing method I got the Recruiter achievement that I previously couldn't during the glitch (recruited Landsmeet ally)).

First I cleared the system cache (by going from the dashboard to System Memory, highlighting the HDD, pressing Y, then selecting the clear system cache option, and I did the same for my memory card for good measure.  Here's the MS site on it if you can't figure it out:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971755)  The good thing now is that the glitched patch has been removed, so you can still play online after you do this, and not have to worry about the patch being accidentally reinstalled.

Then I loaded up Dragon Age and loaded a save where I could unlock a spec (in my case it was in The Gauntlet just before the Urn of Sacred Ashes, at the choice you make to get Reaver spec), then got that spec to unlock.  (not sure if this step is necessary).

Then I shut off the Xbox completely (make sure it is fully off if you have background downloads enabled or something).  Then I started it back up, loaded up Dragon Age, and saw that all my specializations were back.  Needless to say I was quite happy.  I then completed the Landsmeet and was able to get the Recruiter achievement I was previously unable to, as mentioned at the beginning of my (rather lengthy :P) post.

There may have been other steps to get it fully working again that I didn't mention, but the only other thing I can think of is I disconnected my internet while in game, went back to the main menu, then signed into the Dragon Age servers before shutting down my console.

It is unfortunate that this post will probably be buried under several new pages in a couple hours and will probably be overlooked, but if we can get some more people to confirm that this for sure works, then maybe someone from Bioware can make an official thread about it so we don't have to wait for an official patch to fix it for us, which may not even be here for another week.

Beliving everything you read on the internet again I see Fender. It is a bad way to go thru life, or did you just see a oportunity to continue ****ing?
Show me the evidence that you know FOR A FACT that there is no one at BW working...  Do not worry I have nothing but time this weekend.

No one in the PR department is working today.

Lack of evidence is evidence. How do I show proof of something intangible? Are you going to ask me to disprove God's existence while we're at it?

I'm glad you notice me and find my complaints so bad, even though there are people who've said much worse things about BioWare on a much more consistent basis. Personally, I think if you're that bothered by my disgust of this company's recent practices, you must have some stake in the company. Even if it's just your little fanboy heart.

And you drink soda and SoCo. That's gross enough and lonely in my eyes (I don't think a bartender would make that drink based on principle, because it is asking for someone to vomit basically. Does it taste like children's cough syrup?) that you shouldn't be questioning someone else's way of life.

To even mention the whole "life" thing is a joke, right? You're here posting far more often than me. This is my second post today, and I'm just waiting for dinner and wanted to see if there was any news.

But, of course, BioWare has nothing to say.

The funny thing is, I still have my Return to Ostagar DLC (got it the morning it came out) after using that clear cache fix, and it still seems to be fully functional (I already got the achievement that I think the patch is required to get). I still have the armor, and nothing bad seems to happen when I travel to Ostagar. Hmm, I'll just have to wait and see if anything bad comes up. Hopefully I'll still get my Traveler achievement now.  To be safe I'm loading the last save I have that I know was before the patch (and will repeat RtO and see if it works. ;)

No its not against the law to work weekends in Canada...yay!  another myth about Canada dispelled.  /rolleyes

I assume that if coders, programmers or whomever are working..they aren't gonna come rushing here to tell us anything.

It could be upper management is say...no info yet..so if thats the case the people that usually tell us something..ie: Chris or Torias..etc   have their hands tied until such a time as ...its good to go.

What money have you wasted?   You can always request your points you spent..be refunded.  E-mails to customer support might have the effect you want? :)

I wish that were true, but so far I've received no word (yes I did e-mail a request for refund).
So again, I have to believe BioWare is not staffed today to handle customers in any way, shape, or form.
I'm just showing a little blue-collar self-righteousness in saying that my business could NEVER treat their customers this way. Not even close.

No response Addiction? This is the second time you've complained about one of my posts without addressing any points of my posts or caring to respond when I respond to you. That's a bit annoying. A bit rude.

Troll marked. Enjoy your waffles, with your soda and SoCo cough syrup. I bet that makes for an attractive figure, amirite? Don't respond to any of my posts in the future though, at least not with the intention of me reading them.
