Careful "they" might be reading and accidentally change the "No one" to "I am" and you would need to be running now to get away XD I understand that people feel like they are entitled to some information, but what I'm saying is they might feel, from the info they have at the moment, that saying anything more at this point would do more harm than good and provide no "damage control" and/or bring up more questions they aren't able to answer either.
To be honest i really doubt anything could do more harm that it's already been done. Prompt and clear communication would at least make us feel less "in the dark" about things to come. It's a placebo, but a placebo is better than nothing.

Is it a good idea to just remove RtO?
And if so, would I have to rebuy it once I had already purchased it off
of XboxLive?
Once you buy something it's registered on your name on the microsoft servers, as such you can redownload it after deletion.

So, for people who already downloaded the DLC and patch on XboxLive, they are issuing a fix whenever they possibly can? Is that correct? I feel deleting RtO from my hardrive will not do much.
This is pretty much what people are complaining about: there is confusion. For all platforms, the information given is little. And for the most affected customers, being the ones who actually pretty much bought a "virus" and installed it in their machines, we should see clear announcement of steps to follow.
Ryukel, if you didn't boot the game it is likely the update didn't go through yet. If you did, I would think you are lost until they fix it, and I recommend just leaving the game alone and playing something else until Bioware sorts things out.

It appears to me that a great deal of anger centers around the idea that some gamers have "paid" for their points already. As a rule, I do not purchase "points" or pre-order anything without a very compelling reason. Perhaps I am fortunate, but whether a game is popular or obscure I have always been able to purchase a copy on the release date. Furthermore I am loathe to essentially extend a line of credit to a company on the promise that at some date (subject to change no less) they will provide a product, the prodcut itself often being more or less of an unknown.
The problem arises when the content is released on another platform (clearly showing that the content "is there") and the developers announce that it'll be released the same day. At that point it's really easy to be misled into buying the required points while waiting for the update to appear.
I never buy points "in advance", but when I see people (albeit on another platform) already playing, and a developer telling me "go ahead, it's coming today", i don't consider it "in advance" anymore.
I was waiting for RtO to appear as downloadable any moment, so I purchased the point because I was given reason to believe they would have been spent the same day.

You say that it couldn't get any worse, but those are some "famous last words" if I've ever heard any... Regardless I have a hard time believing they are just keeping everyone in the dark maliciously, I believe they subscribe to my pov. At least that is what I am going to continue believing until they say otherwise. And at that I bid you all adieu as it is time I catch some "z's"...

This title update introduced a previously undetected issue that causes specialization classes to not work correctly in Dragon Age: Origins.
Well, if you'd bothered to look for comments from people who downloaded the leaked version, you'd know that from day one.

What I mean is that people are already majorly disappointed. To the point that further delays wouldn't make them that much more disappointed than they already are.
My experience in the gaming field, that tends to be in itself quite volatile, shows me that lack of communication, instead, tends to amplify disappointment.

It's piracy talk, so most people will ignore thing not to risk a ban, and that's a good thing, because it's probably bogus.

I'm just taking a wild guess, but I'm guessing they don't want to release the DLC on only one or two platforms since this means only certain people will know how it ends and so on. They might be protecting those who would be left out from spoilers.
I also reliaze that if today had gone according to plan PS3 players would have had this exact scenario happen to them, I'm just attempting to give Bioware the benefit of the doubt for a crappy situation.

Given that now we have a big bunch of 360 players that already dowloaded and finished the DLC (and quite a few that already posted spoilers), I doubt that's the case.

Dragon Age DLC Sneaks onto Xbox Live
Return to Ostagar suddenly appears on the Marketplace only.
by Jeff Haynes
January 13, 2010 - Looks like the wait for the delayed Return to Ostagar downloadable content for Dragon Age: Origins is over – for Xbox 360 owners, that is. The DLC, which was suddenly put on hold by BioWare last week, suddenly made an appearance on the Xbox Live Marketplace today. No announcements were posted on Xbox Live or on the official BioWare website, but the DLC, which weighs in at 134.11 MB and costs 400 points, is available by browsing for add-on content on the service.
According to Xbox Live, Return to Ostagar revolves around a survivor of the ill-fated battle who escaped Darkspawn captivity and actively seeks out the Grey Warden's for help. Players are tasked with retrieving the body and equipment of King Cailan, who fell at Ostagar, and earn some measure of revenge against the foul creatures that now inhabit the area. The DLC will also offer players a second chance to earn the Dog character if they hadn't previously added them to their party.
To discover the survivor of Ostagar, players will need to play the game until they complete the events in the village of Lothering, and will then need to travel to Bann Loren's lands along the northwest corner of the Bannorn.
According to BioWare, "Fans can now get the 360 version of Return to Ostagar. The PC version will be available by tomorrow morning and the PS3 version will be available at a later date."
