I actually believe the world needs 99% more parents like this, as it would most assuredly slam most of you miscreants in the ear!! LOL
Because if they did that my dear Abriael it would mean admitting defeat and conceeding that defending Bioware's continual dropping of the proverbial ball on the whole situation is pretty rediculous given the circumstances.Abriael_CG wrote...

This has been debated before ad nauseum.......holiday season goes for most people here in NA til Jan 2.
Which they still missed? Even not considering that in the gaming market "holidays season" releases are considered between thanksgiving and Christmas.
When you publish "holiday season" near a link to buy points for the product, it stops being a "guesstimate" and it becomes an official statement.
*wondera when people will either stop pulling out latin quotes or spell em right. If i had an eurocent for every time people mispelled "ad NauseAM" in this thread, I'd be able to buy out Bioware...*

I could ask you "why are you still so fixated on defending them.?"
I believe that they have wronged their customerbase, and I think reminding them has an utility, expecially since from their posts AND lack of thereof they seem not to realize that at all.
You can pretty much be sure that learning that notion will do them good in the future. Now we're speaking about a single player RPG, with a very vocal fanbase, but not yet the most volatile and vicious in the gaming market.
Next year they are going to release what they believe will be an AAA MMORPG. This kind of unapologetic attitude, lack of informative communication, the costant missing of release dates, low quality QA and testing with the costant spawning on bugs, and slowness in solving them would spell the early doom of any MMORPG out there no matter how popular an IP it is based on. Star Wars Galaxies, Warhammer Online, Age of Conan are examples in which the developer made some or all between this kind of errors, and now they are little more than semi-abandoned wastelands.
If bioware will face the MMORPG market with this kind of attitude, they're in for a very, very rough ride. From what I see here they're not ready for such a challenge, and if their attitude doesn't change, they will fail miserably.
And as Warhammer Online clearly, and sadly demonstrated, Electronic Arts does not condone failure.
And personally. I'm tired of seeing MMORPGs that I love turn into ghost towns in a few months, with no one to play with, funding cut, half of the personnel laid off and no hope to claw their way out of the hole. It's a saddening experience, and a big waste of time and money for everyone involved.I really don't care how YOU spell it...you are nit picking..*wink*
Yes, I am, here in Italy we study latin in high school, yet looks like we go around spamming latin quotes to sound smart and schooled less than foreigners, that regularly maim them in the process

You're extremely forgiving, and forgiving customers in the MMORPG market are rare.
To give you an example, in an average MMORPG bugs like the specialization one would see developers scramble like spitfires in the battle of britain to solve it overnight. Because during that night people will be already unsubscribing.
If they don't radically change their attitude and methods before they release the KOTOR MMORPG, we might end up seeing Bioware in a very different position in the market than what we see now. Other popular and widely trusted companies have taken the MMORPG market lightly, and they came out of it badly burned.
I prefer to be stern and unforgiving, in the hope that it'll help them understand what they're going to tangle with a year from now. Or better, to catch a glimpse of that, because this thread is very, very mild in comparison.

Seeying the amount of posts certain people make on the same subject with only some phrases changed isnt really occasional status update asking now is it

Its not a stretch in logic to know the title update was the issue and not the DLC itself. (Chris confirmed as much) We've gone over this already. I realize you want to stick your fingers in your ears and shout "conspiracy!" but sorry no one's buying it at this point.

Sarah..first off this thread is about the dlc ..not me.
Can you quit obsessing over every little thing I say...or about me..and refocus yourself...or is that too much to ask from your bloated ego?

I close betaed that game...and played it.....through for a few months, part of the problem there is, Mythic shot themselves in the foot right at the start. The game did not turn out as advertised at start...instead mimicking Wow's pvp in a box...scenarios became uppermost thing to do instead of the Realm vs Realm..which was by the way, thats how much Mythic was confident about Warhammer.

Warhammer online got what it deserved. The fanboys back then defended them time after time no matter what critics said *wink wink*. Same goes for AoC, everytime they changed stuff which cost them subscribers and than of course having stuff on the box advertised which didnt make it in the game...
But since this is a DA-O forum this discussion doesnt really belong here 8)

Mythic worked very, very hard in making Warhammer Online. I know quite well because I have a few friends that worked on it, and have played it from the day 1 of closed beta (as an ex DAOC player and Warhammer tabletop player for 21 years, that MMO seemed too good to be true, and maybe it was) and managed to resist until this october. They behaved towards their customer base in a way that I'd deem quite a lot more responsive and better than what I see here, yet they failed. And believe me, the fact that it had a resemblance with wow's gameplay really had no bearing to such failure, while it may be a turn off for some, it's good for others. The problem were the bugs, the clunky interface, the wrong choices on the go that were corrected too late... Just a sad situation all over. So yes, that time I have been all loving and nice towards Mythic, i've supported them until i simply couldn't anymore, and got out extremely disappointed.
This time around I'm not going to do the same kind of error. If Bioware will be complacent on their laurels, like they seem to be now, I will not contribute to it.
The funny part is that Mythic has been put under Bioware control, like Bioware had any better experience or way of dealing with problems... I'm sure I'm not the only one that now sees the irony of that...
