GIVE IT UP!!! BW/EA is not gonna give us anything thats not gonna make money for EA. The biggest blunder in gaming histroy is BW being bought by EA. We....the folks who make them their profits are screwed. The best or only thing we as an collective of people to do is NOT buy any EA products. Even if it is a game that you've been waiting on; tell them that this is NOT exceptable, that they are not going to get your money. And that when a game comes out you are going to wait to see what kind of support they give. The support we have with DAO is NIL. And I'm worried about ME2; if the same thing is gonna happen. We as a communty  of gamers need to take a stand. Does anyone agree?

Long story short, no.  RTO is not currently out on any platform.  Some Xbox 360 users have it as it was briefly released on Xbox Live (supposedly a mistake on Microsoft's part but there is no official word) but quickly pulled when problems were discovered that borked specializations.  We can't discuss that other release.  It has since been revealed that the recent title update on the 360 was the source of the specialization problems on said platform, and as such it is unclear why RTO is still being held and not just the patch.  If I had to venture a guess I'd say it is fixed and likely in the process of recertification.  I am anticipating a tuesday release based on personal observations but am not holding my breath (note that this is not supported by facts so don't quote me on this).  So, yeah...  We're all still waiting.

I enjoyed RtO. I do agree that it should have been 3 or 4 times as many enemies rushing at you, even if they were grunts. Just numerous wave after wave. Make it feel more epic. I did like the concept though. I even liked the cute little Genlock cutscenes.
I am dissapointed that specializations are broken AND there has been not a single word in three days.

Oh Key-Reighst, I absolutely detest "defend against wave after wave of enemies" scenerios. RtO is certainly is more than this, is it not? Otherwise I'll definitely pass on this DLC.

Exactly, there's a work around. So why doesn't RtO come out already? If it was just the patch, and we don't need the patch for RtO, we can fix the specializations ourselves, why are we sitting here without it having dirt kicked in our faces. The whole situation is ridiculous. At this point, I wonder whether the "good folks" at BIOWARE are just sitting back watching all this unfold laughing at us. We've probably become their office entertainment, all the while RtO sits back OBVIOUSLY complete and bug free given that it's out on PC and 360. I smell something, and it smells like bull s**t.

there are def workarounds... i managed to fix it with an experimental formula. deleted all DAO add-ons and patch, re-downloaded add-ons, loaded save game, learned spec, re-boot xbox, smack it in the ass and cross ur fingers.

It was a genuine question to one person regarding why they would specifically buy a console for ONE game. And this particular game. The person who I asked the question of answered. I don't believe they were offended by it. So basically, **** off

It is "out" on PC, whether BIOWARE wants to admit that it's "bug free" or not. I've seen it played and seen that all the achievements work on the "leaked" copy. So by all means someone tell me what's "incomplete" about it. BIOWARE sure didn't, because then their whole ploy of trying to deter you PC players from getting it for free wouldn't work. It's obviously a marketing ploy just like why movie companies release a single disk copy of a movie then 2 years later issue out the "2 Disk Special Edition". The whole marketing ploy behind it is that "you don't have all the special features". Sound familiar? It sounds like the same exact feed BIOWARE gave us the other day where they say it's "incomplete", yet don't say what. Want to know why? Because it IS complete.

Read third page of this IGN interview it talks about why they did it..was posted probably 3 or 4 days ago.

Whenever someone explains the reasoning for something "unplanned" or "unfortunate" with a textbook politician answer, it means they are either A. Hiding Something, or B. Out right lying. So excuse me if their explanation doesn't quite add up given all the other developments to this ongoing dramatic rollercoaster that is RtO. And same answer to the reason they are "with holding" RtO when last they said, everything got pulled down due to the title update. Which we've seen pretty clear here, that the title update is NOT needed for RtO. So they can by all means continue to spin all the stories they want, but until those stories start coming through NOT looking like swish cheese, I'm not going to believe a damn thing they say!!!!

I'll tell you right now, if you think the mild outcry that this thread has brought will be anything in comparison to what will happen if the same issues occur with ME2 DLC or worse SW:Kotor then you'll have your work cut out for you.

Its true no one is perfect and people make mistakes, but there comes a point when mistakes are repetedly made and there's a level of lack of support that you really can't defend anymore. And really we're kinda beyond that as it is.

i have 1 message for bioware: WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! they throw out 2 lines of text to say basically- its not comin out for a while srry but we arent tellin you anything else without tellin us anything ppl just run around thinking up tons of things to make it worse than it already is! when all ppl want to hear is an update about whats happening with the DLC so they better say somthing soon or it will just get worse!

Maybe they did it for the same reason I did. Better with a hand held controller then with the key bored and mouse. If I was better at using the controls for computer games I would of bought it for my lap top.
