ah here we go again....someone on this thread did a little spoiler..indicating that those that didn't have the official version of the dlc, have a missing side quest that can't be started up, because whatever item..step..whathave you is missing. Therefore, if that is known then I would say they were working on it. They are also working on the bug fix for the 360.

I WISH..they would at least post THAT...workaround info somewhere prominent on this forum, so that folks would know at least..thats in the works. Multiple times throughout this thread people have had to ask.

Where's the Devs on this..or why hasn't a Mod stickied info like that up top so that it can be easily seen and read. I think that would at least alleviate some of the furor going on.

** edit meant workaround**

This all makes me shudder to think how bad it's going to be with SW:TOR. I mean seriously, they can't handle putting out a not-even-an-hour installment of DLC, and along the way they manage to release a bug-infested piece of s*** title update (yep 360 user here) that breaks the game for however much of their audience is on the 360...and no meaningful updates about fixing said bug-infested piece of s*** for going on 4 days (which is, by any measure, an unacceptable level of support).

...and these people think they're going to pull off an MMO?! Really?!?!

Yup, that's microshaft for yaImage IPB

Why dont you complainers grow up a bit. obviously Bioware is working on getting RTO bug fixes. That last thing we players want is a bug to spoil our game play. There fore we must have patience. The force is still with us all. An besides Mass effect 2 will be out soon.

What's a feedback forum for, if not for a consumer to voice their complaints and receive feedback from the company that is providing?  And I hate to beat a dead horse, but RtO is fine according to anyone that has played it, so for whatever unknown, and unexplained reason BIOWARE is keeping it from it's consumers.

Sure it is for feedback. Real honest factual feedback. Not conspiracy theories based on nothing.

Fine according to who? The few that would actualy say anything? And those few have done everything possible inside RtO to support their claims that it is perfect? Not all bugs jump out and slap you in the face. MANY involve doing certain things first. Of course that is if the "issue" was a bug and that the bug actauly took place in the confines of RtO.

FYI when implenting new software into exsisting software it is very unwise to just look at and test the new software and ignore what is allready there.

And no you seem to thoroughly enjoy beating the dead horse into pulp. It is about the only thing  you have done.

Actually its based on user reports and Chris himself saying it was the title update. But thats fine I realize logic and using your brain to link things together is hard and you're one of those if the devs didn't say it, it must not be true lalala fingers in my ears tin foil hats blah blah blah.

As for testing RTO, you'd think they had done that already multiple times, what with missing 3 release windows already.

It's funny, I dowloaded both and my game broke. My brother only downloaded the update and his broke. I guess that means it's the update and not the DLC. Man, that logic was really hard to put together.
Get over yourself, ****.

Handheld thinks we should give them all a break as they are very busy people with the release of Mass effect 2 coming so soon and now this bug, Handheld himself thinks that bioware deserves a pat on the back and a nice cold beer for all the hardwork they are doing for handheld and his fellow forumites.

@ Judah yes its the update, and there's a workaround for the 360 owners, something about emptying your cache and restarting your console. I know very little about consoles so..you might want to search this thread for info. I guess the idea is to remove the update from your console if its still there, thats supposed to help.

Thats right, I do see some posts from "evil Chris" over there on the Mass Effect site..very recent too.  So I guess they are switching between the two areas.

Handheld wonders if you are a fellow forumite of his on the mass effect boards if so hello fellow forumite.

Handheld believes the evil priestly is very tired of locking down the useless amounts of M/M and F/F romance threads over there as they are getting out of hand handheld himself thinks.

Handheld also knows the site has been down quite a bit lately.

The SW:Tor team is in Austin, Texas,  DA:O team in Alberta, Canada.   Two different teams ...

Hi I've peeked in there, but not posted.   This site seems to bog down some too, ..late in the evening can't access the Bioware tags for official information, they come up blank.

Ahh sorry about that, someone did mention that the workaround doesn't always work for everyone, unfortunately.

I was very reluctant to buy this game, and finally did. I really started to enjoy it when this happened. I played ME, but at this point I really doubt I'll buy ME2 or anything from BW again. My experience has just been bad, hopefully things will change and so will my heart but i doubt it.
I'll be leaving home for college in  the fall anyway, so I've been having less time to play anyway, may not be the worst thing.

Please, spare the swan song. If I screw up at work, I hear it from the boss/customer. Its no different here. If there were some actual information at all aside from "working on it Image IPB™" it would be quite a different story, I'm sure.

I guess maybe the work around hasn't been stickied because it isn't working for everyone. Plus Bioware hasn't produced the work around so they wouldn't want someone blaming them if something else went wrong

Also, anyone comparing this to SW:TOR you may want to remember a couple of points - No consoles to worry about. Totally different teams. The first, to me anyway, is a huge plus.

Yep your boss would come to you every few hours for a few days straight and stamp his feet yelling "I WANT MY INFORMATION NOW!!!!!".

Did Bioware screw up? yes they did but this forum has a few spammers who seem to feel important and stamp their feet as a little kid would do trying to get stuff done his way and keep doing it. Sensible parents would have kicked the kid to their bedroom telling them to behave instead of giving the kid what he yells for.

Whats wrong with wanting to know why RTO is being held back?

I don't think anyone is looking for hourly updates, or even updates every few hours. I'm certainly not. Though it would be nice to hear something more than "working on it" after 3 days of not hearing anything, after being told PC version later today.

I realize some people like to defend bioware no matter what but c'mon folks, the customer base deserves something at this point, considering for a majority of us that have already spent the money for the points and still have no product to go along with said purchase.

Oh, this is nothing compared to the nonsense the Mass Effect fans had to put up with with regards to what turned out to be Pinnacle Station. Especially when RtO actually looks like it'll be a decent and worthwhile piece of DLC in the end.

I would like to remind people (again) that random discussions do not belong in this thread. This thread has a very specific purpose, and people carrying on completely unrelated discussions is an actively disruptive act, since it prevents people with problems from easily keeping track of what is going on.

Everyone is more than welcome to discuss "Title Update, Specialization issue and Return to Ostagar Update " in this thread.

Any other discussion does not belong here. Please, show some respect for your fellow community members.

Thanks.

Hello Dragon Age fans

This morning a title update on the Xbox 360 for Dragon Age: Origins was made available in preparation for the release of Return to Ostagar. This title update introduced a previously undetected issue that causes specialization classes to not work correctly in Dragon Age: Origins. We are removing Return to Ostagar from Xbox Live until the issue is resolved and are recommending that you do not download the title update.  If you have already performed the update, we apologize for this and are working hard to ensure a fix is available as soon as possible.

We will provide more information to you when it is available.

I did not down load the DLC but, i've lost my specializations that I previously unlocked.. ???
