The trend seems to be a week after each delay notification, so maybe next week... maybe.

RtO was advertised and offered for download through the game client, not the xbox dashboard
The fact that I have the game on PC doesn't mean I don't have a 360 as well (i just like to play the best version of each game).
I too like to play the best version of each game... but the best version of this or any other game, is usually dependent upon a specific person. I prefer a controller (without using controlmk or xpadder) over a keyboard and mouse for RPG's (and some FPS.. depends which ones). I also prefer my nice, large LED LCD HDTV with a 240hz refresh rate without having to connect my laptop to it versus using my high definition computer monitor or high definition laptop screen and I think there is more than enough micro-managing to be done for the console version.. from what I experienced with the PC version I felt it took away from the storyline (this is my opinion, it may be different for others but when I play an RPG... it isn't for the action..... that is just a bonus feature, it's for the storylines <<< plural because of all of the possibilities).
Just wanted to point out MY preferences since you made yours sound absolute, which neither of ours are... with this game it's a matter of personal preference. Both my desktop and gaming laptop can run circles around any game out there.... but for some reason I just dislike RPG's on the computer..... the only reason I own KOTOR 1 & 2 for the PC is for all of the mods after I got bored of the normal storyline. I don't think Dragon Age: Origins with it's MANY outcomes, choices, character builds, etc... needs mods. By then I'll be playing Mass Effect 2 and after that will be the expansion pack for Dragon Age: Origins and then after that something else I'm sure.
For the record I have all modern consoles, both modern portables, and both a gaming desktop and gaming laptop as stated before. I'm not a fan of any in particular.. I like them all. I just buy my games that are for multiple platforms according to personal preference and depending on CERTAIN exclusives, etc... I weight it out then make a decision and have yet to make the wrong one (don't plan to either). They all get plenty of use.
Video games have truly come a long way; for the better entertainment-wise.

A backup it's not very usefull if the game don't save anymore ;-)
Reinstall game, reload save, profit.
Say a patch caused it to get borked, reinstall game, DON'T patch it with the bad patch, reload save, profit.
I'd really hate to do that on my 360.
But of course, EA/Bioware would never let their releases get to that point, would they? *Knocks on wood*

This title update introduced a previously undetected issue that causes specialization classes to not work correctly in Dragon Age: Origins.
Well, if you'd bothered to look for comments from people who downloaded the leaked version, you'd know that from day one.
Explain pls?
I mean reports like that one:
"After installing this dlc pack, when creating a new character (mage), I got one more entropy magic line, with another drain life and 3 empty (black) slots. Anybody else is having the same thing showing up? Other than that I haven’t noticed anything strange…"

Is that just a fluke and are there undetected problems that I should worry about, maybe when using a certain combination of companions?
I used Alistair, Wynne and the Dog, what I thought of as the most suitable team for that mission, seeing as how all three were in Ostagar for the first battle. Would, say, Shale's presence cause those afore mentioned errors?

"Same thing here. I noticed it with Wynne and I thought that the missing spells in the chain were forbidden because of her spirit healer specialization…"
And another one:
"weird, i install the DLC and load a finished game, but when i go to camp i can’t select a team, none of my other party members are in the game, and i can’t leave."
And one more:
"About the DLC, after installed this, I got a new Drain Life spell, like a guy said above. Also, what Jack said is right, I can’t load anything, when it finishes to load, it goes back to the desktop, lol."

And for the points, yep, bought them too and actually spent them already on RtO when it showed as available content on my PC game client. Hope that having it showing in "Your Registered Game Promotion" helps when it's finally released because, as of now, it still shows and asks me for another 400 points! Which I'd gladly pay too. It's so fraking cheap for a good work (not talking about tech stuff)!
For what is worth I've also donated 10 times that to some organizations helping in Haiti's post-earthquake situation and since BioWare seems to have had an "Haiti" of their own with this DLC, let's give them a break!

Really, waiting for it a bit longer now doesn't make much difference. There are worse things in life that can happen. One could be in Haiti while waiting or the Haiti thing could have happened somewhere else with likely more gamers in the demographics.

I don't see how starting your post with the AOL Front Page news, and ending with how you helped donate to it has anything to do with DAO.

true story: long before Halo there was this nice company that made some excellent games, including a couple of genre-defining ones such as Pathways to Darkness, Marathon, and Myth:The Fallen Lords. this company was doing really well and had a growing but fervent fanbase, due in no small part to their origins as a community-friendly group and developing games for pc and mac simultaneously.
holiday season, late 90's. the big sequel to the still unparalleled Myth:TFL is launched. anticipated big sales are exceeded. celebration all around! but wait... what's this? OMFG. the installer "uninstalls" the entire hard drive when finished
tl;dr: **** happens.
