And similarly, constantly ****ing like you and Abriael are doing has proven to have no effect whatsoever, so why don't you give it a rest?

The fact that it has no effect doesn't make it better, quite the contrary, it makes the situation reek of lack of professionalism much more.
Errare humanum est. perseverare...

The fact that there has been 4 dev posts in 140 pages would indicate that they are either not working or not reading, or concentrating on more important matters in actually getting it fixed. That may not be at the top of your list of importance, but funnily enough everyone may have slight differences and they can't cater to everyone. There are more than enough people here who have said they are happy to wait for it to be fixed properly and have given them some breathing space.

So in case you didn't get it - the world doesn't revolve around you.

p.s. Latin is a dead language that pretty much no-one gives a rat's ass about.

Common sense would involve realizing what actually broke specializations on the 360, yet it seems no matter how many first hand reports you read explaining that, you refuse to believe it and continue to go on and on and on about trying to shut people up about expecting a little professionalism and communication.

So using logic and common sense we can deduct from user reports that the DLC works as intended on the 360 without the pulled broken title update, using the same logic and common sense from reports from those who have played it on the pc we can duduct the same thing, that low and behold the DLC works as intended. You somehow are stuck on this silly notion that if its not from a Bioware employee however that its not true and just a conspiracy theory.

I'm sure you've heard the old saying "if it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck it's prolly a duck" replace duck with fanboy and well you get the idea. - end quote

Nope I don't ....its the title update that broke everything..plus that early release that wasn't ready to go..but released anyways with whatever lingering bugs.

You don't work on the Bioware team, so its not your place to pronounce the title update and dlc as good to go. You aren't the professional. Are you? Thats been my point.

I would rather have the info from the team doing the work, than some loud voice on a forum somewhere that is entirely concerned with themselves and not the truth.

Verbally spanked? if you actually had something to say that I hadn't seen in the last few days from you I might be vaguely interested. However, even though it is clear they are not responding you just keep regurgitating the same crap and standing proudly on top of the mountain like you are the champion for gamers everywhere.

What people can't stand is things being exaggerated and blown out of proportion to suit "some" people's agendas...* looks at Abrieal and Sarah*

And that's exactly where the problem is, and what reeks badly of lack of professionalism.

Whatever is going on behind the scenes I would imagine...doesn't concern us.

It sure concerns me since i've been encouraged, and at some point even misled to pay for a product I still don't have.
Commercial choices come with responsibility. The choice to encourage customers to "invest" by paying for a product beforehand comes with the responsibility of communcation.

Again, it's basic commercial ethics.

It's lovely to see how basic netiquette and readability riles has gone lost nowadays, not to mention how some people like to even be smug about that.

all I see from you is that you believe you know better/act better than everyone else. As I said, if you don't like the way people use these forums, go make your own and put some rules up.

Or maybe, just maybe, try looking in the xbox 360 forums for support? Took me all of about 5 seconds http://social.biowar.../index/604827/6

Thanks for posting this, it helps a lot as I was about to embark on what would most likely be a fruitless journey through 150something pages of text to find these instructions.

I am really uncomfortable with messing with anything that has to do with hard drives, deleting info etc. because I seem to always find a way to break something. Apparently I will have to do this if I care to play Dragon Age in the foreseeable future because fixing the title update seems to be pretty low on anyone's priority list. I am still pretty astonished that it has been this long without any sort of patch or update to fix my game, or being given any sort of time table as to when it should be fixed. If I had an idea of when or if it would be fixed, I would be more than happy to wait, sadly, that is not the case here. :crying:

As would I. I can tell you  though that the DLC as it is works fine on my Xbox with no bugs as far as I can tell since I cleared my cache to remove the title update. Whether it was a complete version that got released though, I don't know. Not quite as good as a dev's word on it, but having tested it myself it's good enough for me. Though I would like to know if that was the complete version that I downloaded and if not, I'd like to know when the complete version will be available since I have in fact paid for and downloaded a product.

Yes because its such a stretch of logic to think otherwise, "oh noes! it didn't come right from Bioware even though the same thing has been esentially confirmed by various users! I WILL NOT BELIEVE IT! CONSPIRACY!" thanks for confirming exactly what I figured.

I'm noy sure if you're aware. If you aren't I'll clarify that for you. Software houses have community managers whose sole job descriptin is to handle the communication with the community. I'd say it's very unlikely that the community team has been drafted into coding, or bringing coffee to the coders. So no, "concentraring on more important matters" is no more an excuse than "having to work on the release of Mass Effect 2", it's different people.

So in case you didn't get it - the world doesn't revolve around you.

Actually, in case you didn't get it, the world of commerce DOES revolve around the customer.

p.s. Latin is a dead language that pretty much no-one gives a rat's ass about.

Given how many people in this very thread spammed latin quotes improperly (butchering them in the process). I'm afraid that you're dead wrong.

At the very least I don't force people to go through absolutely unnecessary walls of text to finally reach a smug oneliner at the bottom.
It's called "netiquette" I didn't make it up, and it's normally not included in forum rules simply because there should be no need to. Just as much as there are no signs on the street telling you how to be polite. if you chose to ignore it, it's your choice, don't complain if people consider you rude, though.

to be honest I think the biggest problem for 360 users in a scenario like this is that even IF they have a patch done for it, it will need to go through certification. And you could probably guarantee MS will be looking at it very closely to ensure that there is not another issue.

No doubt, while us PC users wait til said certification is finished and approved before we get the DLC. Fun fun! Posted Image

People are upset over a purchase, not just a game. We've been prompted and encouraged (and even misled) to pay for something in advance, and we have no idea when that money will net us something more than a number in our client.

This is the appropriate place for discussion about "Title Update, Specialization issue and Return to Ostagar Update", but if you notice your discussion turning into a sprawling argument (over multiple posts or multiple days!), it might be worth agreeing to disagree and letting it go :-)

And you do realise that as the community manager Chris could well have been relaying information back to the dev team and asking for an update. And they could well be telling him that they are working on it. And if he came back and repeated those words all it would achieve would be to further enrage people into asking 3 million more questions about why he couldn't give us something more than that. So more important matters could be trying to actually find out information for us.

And there are plenty of customers here who aren't ****ing like you are. Maybe they are hoping to weed customers like you out?

Yes because this internet forum is representative of the world. And did you stop to think that they are getting them wrong because it is in fact a dead language. It is just another way of trying to prove one's self importance...like big words...

I don't see where you were hired to enforce the rules of netiquette either. No one up until this point has complained, so again all I see is you tying to puff your chest out for a bit more self-importance

Not quite true. I've seen many people complain about the pyramid quotes and I've seen mods telling people to stop doing it. I find them rather irritating as well, I just hadn't voiced my complaint because I know it would be an exercise in futility and those are never enjoyable.

Generally we either agree to disagree or agree on some points and ignore the rest. It is different this morning. Must be the strong winds in Vancouver.....

Probably because he knows all and enjoys reading the conspiracy theories and shady deals that we have going on in our minds.
