If I wouldn't have payed the money for the points RtO wouldn't interest me anymore. But they have my money and I want at least some new information about it.

Im talking a simple 30 minute content update. Which is all this is. Half Life 3 is far more extensive. Games have been delayed for years and years. But when the game itself has been worked on for so long like Dragon Age, it is odd they are having such difficulty with a small content update. The engine is in place and tested, it should fit right in. Whatever this issue is truly must be monumental in scope. I have been buying games forever my friend, and really havent seen this kind of delay revolving around a 130MB download.

Truth is I honestly think most of the issues are circling around the console updats versus the PC versions, however often when games come out for multiple platforms in this manner, the general ideal is ... whats good for the goose is good for the gander.  So if Xbox can't have their toy... neither can anyone else.  With the hammer tools and creation models introduced to pc users, it is more than likely the PC version is functional and the least of the companies concerns.  However once again, I simply state... weither it is a 130 mb patch or a 2 gig expansion.  **** happens, and delays occur.  The only issue I truly have with all of this is the poor representation on the delays and the lack of advert modification.  If the product is not available the advert should express this.  as far as "OMG this is Epic Fail" I still say its not that big of a deal, simply because most PC users have access to much more thanks to communities like Dragon Age: Origins Nexus, and Dragon Age: Origins Hammer titans.  As for xbox 360 users... I do apologize, the title update error is stupid and the main reason I went and bought the pc version.

I have to rank this right there in terms of bad communication and preperation. Obviously the core mechanics and gameplay for the download was completed months ago, hence the "holiday release" announcment. I certainly would not use the term incompetent when talking BioWare, they are a great developer.. but my god. This is getting ridiculous. PC users have gone from it will be released "later in the day" to absolutely no details what-so-ever. Companies have released bugged product before, and can usually push out a patch pretty quick. The xbox bug was not game breaking from what i have heard, so to completely pull it is very mysterious. If they have a working product for one platform and not going ahead and releasing it, in my opinion is just ****** poor.

Understandable, the way they advertised and then never changed it when the delays occured was such crap.  On the bright side if your a mass effect fan, you'll be able to use those points for stuff in Mass Effect as well if you find something that peaks your interest in it prior to RTO coming out... oh yeah... btw... bet you dollars to donuts the upcoming release of Mass Effect 2 may be half the reason this is suffering such delays and the team appears stretched thin.

It has everything to do with it. You don't understand that some of us aren't willing to just wait indefinately to maybe someday get a tiny bit of information regarding the status of the DLC. And it appears to make you angry that anyone would be critical towards the way this has been handled.

I mean at that rate why even have a community rep at all? Heck better yet why even have forums? If you can't be positive 100% of the time you shouldn't post! Praise only!

Sure, thats prolly not your intention but thats certainly how you tend to come off imo.

Again you twist it right into something it is not. It has never been about being critical it is how you go about it. So stop twisting my words and putting others in my mouth
Being critical is A OKAY in my book. Attacking and outright dismissing others points, opnion, and arguements because they are not inline with yours is not. So try again.

Right and making "tin foil hat" type comments among others, towards people isn't doing the same thing? Holier than thou much? Posted Image

I would like to point out that my "Tin Foil Hat" keeps the space alien's voices out of my head and keeps them from convincing me to assasinate Adam Sandler.

That would be correct! Also I wouldn't use the word "Complaining" too much, it's a taboo word here. Posted Image

Alright, so I wanted to give my own quick update. I've read countless times in this forum where users have suggested to clear you hard drive's cache and that would correct the missing specializations problem from the title update. Well, I've just attempted that and it doesn't work. All of my previously unlocked specializations are locked and I would like an update from Bioware soon. This has prevented me from continuing to play the game as I feel my characters are currently broken.

Thanks.

James Perkins is a guy I used to play City of Heroes with.  We blamed him for the downfall of everything, you should too.  After all, he probably did in some odd cosmic way...

I can totally live with blaming someone whose not here to defend themselves! Posted Image

once you clear the cache you have to use old saves and re-lock them again. They will not just unlock on their own. Once your re-unlock them they stay unlocked like they used too.

After clearing it did you load up a save that you could unlock one of the specializations with?

Edit: Blast! I've been ninja'd!

If only it were that easy, the forums would die out then as many of these folks would asphexiate or at least pass out and crack their skulls off their desks.

The TPS reports are late.  The staplers all seem to be missing.

What one person considers a conspiracy theory, another considers a door to a new possibility. Lord knows we all "know" who killed JFK. I look at both sides of the coin as you say, and all I've asked is that BIOWARE treat us with the least bit of decency. A little bit of explanation would be greatly appreciated, not only by myself, but by it would seem the MAJORITY of people who have posted at this thread. I believe they are not performing well on a PR front, and that as other companies do when they have a delay or a recall, they EXPLAIN what was up. Obviously we should see by now that explanations are not what BIOWARE is all about. Just cryptic answers and delays. Yay public relations. I'll try that next week if we get any CPS reports and I have to remove a kid from a dangerous home. Just walk in and be like "yeah, child services, we're taking your kid, we'll call you in a few days and let you know what's up". Yep, I can see that greeted well............with a SHOTGUN!!!

OH please tell us who killed JFK and also tell us where the landing site is for ET: Wyoming...nope, Alaska...nope, Montana....nope,  Idaho......nope,  DC.....most likely or maybe your backyard. Oh please tell us. We are sitting up in our seats to hear your proof. Posted Image
