I wonder if an image from the hubble space craft was sent right now, if we would receive it before RtO or an update about RtO?

2 Months after the game came out and you are whining due to a slight delay with the 3rd... count it THIRD dlc? Also with an expansion coming out soon.

If you reckon you can churn out more decent DLCs for this game than they have in such a short space of time, there is this neat thing you know that came with the PC version called the toolset, it allows you to make campaigns, new armor, new characters, basically anything you see in the game, including funky cut-scenes... like this... why not go have a go at it.

Oh wait, you expect them to dish out more than 3 DLCs inside 2 months of the game coming out... because your just some lazy smuck who thinks they should obey your every whim. Yeah, keep dreaming... not gonna happen.

That excuse is *never* valid. It's not our job to develop software; it IS theirs, and they've had damned near a month-long delay for 45-60 minutes of content. My response to this line of reasoning is that I'm too busy doing my job to do theirs for them.

The first 2+ DLC's were only DLC's because they had to push the product out the door before they were complete. They had 2 DLC's within (instantly), and *0* in the last 2 months.

WOW 2 months of no DLCs....

*gasps* Oh no the world is going to end because a company hasn't released a DLC in 2 months...

I know lets all whine about that, yeah that is the mature thing to do isn't it?

Seriously some people need to take a step back and think for a second.

Your expecting DLCs to come every week or something? Did they promise such a thing?

No they said plenty of DLC content in 2 year period they never specified how often it would come.

So your point is even more invalid.

I don't mean any offence really to you with what am about to say, you know what, the other week I was a bit annoyed about all this, but then I realised that constantly whining every single day expecting it to be dropped on my lap or be told the exact ins and outs as to why it was delayed was absolutely stupid and unprofessional.

Some of the people that are constantly whining in this topic every day really are pathetic and seriously need to get with the real world. I am done with this topic. Hopefully as others have said when there is an update the Devs will ditch this topic and create a new one. I know how to check for dev posts, but personally I think that when new info comes out this stupid whine infested topic needs sinking to the bottom where it belongs.

If only it were that easy, the forums would die out then as many of these folks would asphexiate or at least pass out and crack their skulls off their desks.

Heh, that's the hope

I sorta feel bad for Return to Ostagar at this point. I am sure it is a fine DLC but unless it is the finest peace of software ever programmed it can never live up to all the excitement around its release.

But think about the mooses, WHY WONT ANYONE THINK ABOUT THE MOOSES!?!?!?  (is mooses the plural of moose?)

I give it a 50/50 split that it will be locked. You can never predict what those silly canadians will do :)

So many people have illegal version, it will be not worth anything to Bioware once it's released

Nobody said the world is going to end, and I'm not one of those who trolls this thread daily, but every time I think maybe they'll do the right thing and give an update (even 'it's not going to be ready this week' would be better than nothing) there's, well, nothing.

Don't twist words, either - you first say there have been three releases in two months; you then concede that there have been zero but now it's not a big deal, and contend that I'm expecting a release per week (which I'm not). My problem isn't with this release in particular, it's with episodic content and DLC in general (see the Half-Life 2 series, etc.). They're nothing but broken promises and misinformation. Whether or not it's a big deal, several delays adding up to several weeks without any significant information for an hour of content just seems bizarre. Hell, the website still says "Available this holiday season."(!!!) Bioware is my favorite game developer (if only because Valve has handled Half-Life's episodic content even worse), but everything about this has been unprofessional, and I don't want to have that opinion of them.

All I can say is after this debacle RTO had better come with cheese.  I believe that would make everything better.

You did not know? Poor customer service and the delay of RtO was fortold as one of the first signs of the apocolypse.

And the Ultimate waffles. I mean Return to Ostagar may be a great DLC (I won't share my opinions on my playthrough since this is a no spoiler region) and 'achievements' may be important to some people. But come on. Ultimate waffles have fruit and ice cream and waffles to name a few things.

I don't care how good Return to Ostagar is. Waffles win the contest hands down.

On the other hand, the DLC is fun to have, and it does extend my understanding of the story somewhat.

Slightly off topic: Who would recommend the DA NAvels and why?

If you need a fix, they're worth a read :P. They're decently well written, although if you read this kind of novel often (I don't, but I do read a lot of Tom Clancy) you may find they don't compare as favorably.
The second is a good deal better than the first (at least IMO).

The novels aren't Tolkien, but I found them enjoyable. They do a pretty good job of fleshing out the game world and some of the characters. A lot of people are saying the second one was better, but I found the first one more enlightening as far as its contribution to the lore. You'll definitely look at Loghain differently at the very least.
