Yep just keep derailing the thread after being warned not to multiple times, oh and keep complaining about those that have the nerve to be looking for an update 4+ days later because those people are just so wrong!! How dare they!  **** troll.

Again it was never about the people complaining but the reasons and arguements that they use. Why don't you tell me my stance on this entire issue? Since you seem to know it so well.  That was a rhetorical question. You do not know it because you continue to misinterupt, twist, and distort anything someone says that is not 100% in line with your thinking.
It is not about people being upset because I myself am also, or not that they are telling BW what is wrong because I have done just that myself but IT IS  about how some go about presenting and backing up their arguements. Just like you continue to do. All you know is that I am not in perfect argreement with you therefore I am a fanboy with blind adoration for BW and anything I say is invalidated because of that.
I am done with you. Your only purpose in this thread is to argue and parrot the same argument because that is all you seem to feel comfortable with. You have continued to show a lack of reading comprehension and logical debating skills. It is your way or the highway and anyone that dares to think diffently is nothing but a fanboy/troll.

If you recall back to when the book was first delayed, there were frequent updates on what was wrong, and what was going on and what not.  After something has been delayed years, there's really no need to update on it every day or month or what not.

Fair enough. I can concur with that idea

I still think that 4 days or even a week without an update is not a crime. But as I said, I can also see why it upsets some people.

Well again, I think we could reference back to when DWD missed it's first release date, people were wanting a release date with answers pretty much immediately.  And here now BIOWARE has missed 2 releases already, and had an update that pretty well screwed up quite a few people, and they drop off the face of the planet without saying much.  I think people (myself included) think they are hiding and just leaving everyone in the dark as we all try to get back specializations as well as our sanity.  I mean couldn't BIOWARE themselves have come up with the specialization fix that so many people here at the forum have used?  Where is the technical support for that?  When someone asks for technical support around here, all you hear are crickets.

I will probably get blasted for asking this question, but are there any new developements about RtO since this morning? I just arrived from work and I am too tired reading through so many posts.

yeah.  I'm with you Jason.  I don't even give a crap anymore about the DLC. I just want my damn game fixed, without having to do a 10-step cache deleting process, just to get my game to work again and get my specializations fixed.  It's RIDICULOUS that a system update has royally f***ked up this game.  No response from anybody. we are all just talking to each other and preaching to the choir, at this point.

BIOWARE, MICROSOFT, EA, WHOEVER DID IT-PLEASE!!Fix what you broke, 1st, THEN worry about the stupid DLC.   I spent 60 bucks on this already bugged game and now you just made it worse.Posted Image

I have to agree...at this point releasing the not-even-an-hour DLC needs to be a secondary priority to fixing that broke-ass title update and unf***ing those people's games it's affecting.

Put it this way, say you booked your car in to be repaired, would you not want it back working properly instead of the wheels falling off and air bag triggering every time you turn the radio from FM to LW? They released it early and this is what you get, I mean good things come to thos who wait right? or has Guiness been lying to me all these years?

I don't know..my husband had to have all the computer boards in his truck replaced...so that means the truck is gone for a week.....means he has to wait.  Second day it was gone they offered him a "loaner".

Came back hoping for some news...well tomorrow is Tuesday..so maybe then. :)

When a new piece of software has gone gold and is in the process of being made available for the general public, it is assumed that all forseeable problems have been addressed and fixed. The idea is that the product will run smoothly for all developed platforms.

There is no guarantee, however, that unforeseen problems won't have snuck in under the radar. And more often than not, the people that find said unforeseen problems are the people who were at the front of the line to get said product because they 'absolutely had to have it!!!!!1.'

In the majority of cases, unforseen problems/bugs are discovered by those that were at the front of the line to receive their product. They are thus adversely affected by the software's failure and the damage -- if any -- to the hardware running it.

Amusingly, there also is a direct relation between the loudness of ones voice, and the closer they were to the front of the line.

Those that can't fathom how BioWare allowed such a buggy add-on to make it through the cracks obviously don't understand the meaning of the word 'unforseen.' BioWare has acknowledged the problems and has stated they are working on a repair. They wisely do not provide an ETR because if the problem ends up being bigger than they thought, and they miss the ETR, these people get angrier. They wisely don't provide details as to why the DLC is buggy because that's not really relevant.

From a personal perspective: I work in telecom, and things can go wrong. People can be adversely affected as a result. As a technician, I *hate* insignificant people calling me asking me for an update, because I would much rather focus on fixing the trouble than giving people updates. Unless you're my superior, or someone else on my team, get off my back, because every minute I spend talking to you is a minute I could be spending working on fixing the problem. It'll be fixed when its fixed. I'll give you an update then, and ONLY then.

Consequently, I am perfectly fine waiting as long as it takes to get the problems with the title update and RtO fixed. Especially since I haven't yet spent any money to purchase it.

Quite frankly I honestly don't care, You've done nothing in this thead but attack people for being annoyed at a lack of info, insulted their intelligence on more than one occasion, and continue to derail the thread with Moose this and waffle that. All the while accuse people of the same thing you're doing. Normally I don't get pissy at people on a forum, you however could fall off the face of the earth and I'd not mind one bit.

lol this delay sure does bring out the best in us all, doesn't it? haha. Will we all love each other again when it comes out? Or will it all be us vs them for the people who think it was too short, and the ones that think it was "perfect".

And how does a holiday in the States affect a Canadian company?

It doesn't..not for DA:O Origins...it might for the MMO they are making...thats originating from Austin, Texas. :)

Someone stated a few days ago, that Bioware tends to do things on TUESDAYS..so thats what I am keeping my fingers crossed for.   Also I note that some of the staff and mods seem to be migrating between here and the Mass Effect forums..so I get the impression that perhaps until the ME2 release they're going to be stretched a bit thin.

Whatever I'll keep checking. :)

At this point I don't think anyone should not know how long it is. An hour at the most which considering the price, seems about right. Though at the rate the're going people will just move on to ME2 and if they've already bought points use it for that. Pending the DLC planned for that actually comes out.

What is so magical about Tuesday?  That's fine if you're just having that be your release date, but...when you deliver this much of a colossal, thoroughly epic failure, you work on the solution until it's completed, and then release it immediately when done.  I'm sorry, but "we normally do these things on Tuesday" doesn't cut it here.  Not by a long shot.

I hope that the Austin team is a far cry better than this one, because the longer this drags out without the courtesy of any kind of update--or better yet, a SOLUTION--it is just making it look like BW is in no way equipped to support an MMO.
