well excuse me for expressing how i feel about not having the ability to play the game thanks to a patch that Bioware gave MS, and then MS released said patch, so who is really to blame, Bioware, should have waited, i lost all my specializations thanks to said patch.

Well, they have until my ME2 pre-order arrives to get my buy. Can't believe it's taking so long, a 30-45 minute DLC with most of the map already pre-created in the original game.

"Mom, are we there yet?"

the RtO DLC should be free at this rate, i am sick of waiting.

The development team for this DLC must consist of two cats and the grandma of one of the coders.  After another full week, they are seriously still so far out from releasing it, that they can't give us an approximate release date?

All of this, for 30 minutes of new content. I think we can safely rename it "Return to Ostagar Forever", in honour of the fabled Duke Nukem vaporware, and it's inept development history.

Hey, at least it's been shown that specializations aren't permanently relocked. The various workarounds, involving clearing the cache, reloading other saves, and such causes the previously unlocked specializations to be available again. That means the game still remembers what you've done, and once they have the patch out (come on already!) you won't have lost any work. As I'm on my first playthrough I'm simply being careful to only unlock a spec right before I use it. :)

Honestly, I'm more concerned about when they'll get around to fixing the dex bug and save corruption on the xbox.

I'd like to add that I feel really bad for anyone who rushed to buy "points" in order to obtain this DLC last week, and currently still has nothing to show for it, and no idea when they will.

all this crap reminds me of when GTA IV was glitched on the PS3, my brother was pissed when he couldn't play online and i could since there was no issue on the 360 version, now i know how he felt, i am pissed since i tried the workaround and it didn't work for me.

i had points the week of Christmas, kept them the week after Christmas and i still have Points, i could easily spend the points on something else since i feel RtO should be free at this rate.

I sympathise with 360ers who had their games ruined through the title update.

But this is largely Microsoft's fault. This isn't the first time a title update has messed everything up and forced a withdrawal, it's a clunky and finnickey system designed not to aid you the player but salve MS's need for total paranoid control over the software on it's system.

Regardless this has nothing whatsoever to do with the PC version who are once again made to sit and wait in favour of it's bastard child the 360.

totally off topic but i was just curious... i just bought the PC version (already have the PS3 copy - yeah i guess that means uber fanboy status) and want to modify some of the appearances of armor and stuff like that. do i download the toolset and if so how difficult is it if you have never done something like that?

If you have never used anything similar then yes its going to be complicated. Have a look around the Nexus for lots of altered/new armour (best to get ones that do not overwrite existing armour)....

Also, if you want to use the toolset, go to that section of the social site, lots of help and tutorials to get you started :)

Dont know if it was already stated but they changed the Ostagar page, finally! Week ago it said Holiday season, now its coming soon. Oh yeah since Mass Effect 2 is 2 discs long does that mean its going to be longer than Dragon Age; which was only one disc?

I don't know if anyone else has tried this, but if you go to xbox.com and type in return to ostagar in the search bar, you'll get one search result that says Xbox LIVE Marketplace | Dragon Age: Origins, click that link, and at the bottom of the page you'll see that it says Return to Ostagar is FREE! Although everytime I try to download it, it says: Sorry This offer is not valid in your region, or it has expired. Anyway figured I'd post it, in case no one saw this.
