Havent been online in a few days so im rather late to this party and rather confused trying to sort through the forums atm.

I have DAO on the 360 and feel like playing it today - Should i deny the title update now or accept it? will denying it cause any problems with my saves for then a 'fixed' update appears?

I also see RTO isnt on the xbox live marketplace anymore thats accessible from the console, but a friend on XBL has showed me a working purchase/download link for it - he updated his game and picked up RTO and claims theirs no problems with his game but he doesnt read any online forums or such so had no idea what i was talking about when i told him about the game breaking bugs that everyone is warning about...

Advisable to currently try play DA:O with/without patching and with/without RTO ?

Hello Dragon Age fans

This morning a title update on the Xbox 360 for Dragon Age: Origins was made available in preparation for the release of Return to Ostagar. This title update introduced a previously undetected issue that causes specialization classes to not work correctly in Dragon Age: Origins. We are removing Return to Ostagar from Xbox Live until the issue is resolved and are recommending that you do not download the title update.  If you have already performed the update, we apologize for this and are working hard to ensure a fix is available as soon as possible.

We will provide more information to you when it is available.

This information is incomplete.  You talk about 360 but not about pc or ps3.  I'm going to give it to you all straight at Bioware.  I've been reading your ,moderators posts that only give us bits and pieces for a while, but instead of protecting your heads from people complaining about release dates that are not met you are instead giving people the impression of a lack of professionalism.  This kind of half answer to peoples need to know what to expect is disheartening to a community that is waiting for your product.  I'm not saying you need to set a date, I'm just saying that you need to be straight forward and address all platforms in such a post. I see this as a 360 only post hence the reason why many people started their own for pc, which moderators have locked. I went to bed expecting to wake up to the dlc, but not only was it not available but the website had no information as to the why of it.  How hard would it be to simply add in that although you had hoped to have PC up complications arose that delayed it and that there is still no new information for the PS3. I was disappointed like many when the release was delayed from the last date we were given but at least we were notified of the reason if not the specifics.  I'm sure you are all as frusterated at receiving flaming threads as I am at reading them, but please don't let that interfer with your professional behavoir and your responsiblity to your audience.

It's 4am here do you know where your dlc is?

P.S. I don't expect a bioware written response to this post.  Actions speak louder.  Love to all!

There is nothing wrong with RTO, its the small 360 patch that is bugged.

True shiz, this sort of thing is utterly unprofessional. What happened to Bioware's 'commitment' to the DAO fanbase? I'm sure nobody really cares, but I've signed up with this site for no reason other than to express my dissatisfaction with this whole RTO thing without pissing off my gf. Now then, AAAARGH!!! POO! POO POO POO! I'm sure I must be retarded to take this so seriously, but twice now I've found myself racing home from work only to discover this damn dlc has disappeared at the last minute. My day has sucked; crap haircut, now this............

Matrix has been having similar problems with WitP AE. Gamers being canny, they'll go through or step into any accidental hole left about.

Funny. Microsoft has it up as a free download on the website only. But, it doesn't work anyway.

Le sigh.

Time to wait again for ___days.

its the first time i see so childish kids comments about a game against the software house, why everyone dont just shut up and chill ? you guys are 8 years old ?

"oh my god my expansion got delayed, how can i do now ?! ohhhh i dunno when it will come! omg i'm not eating anymore...will i die ?"

You people should just shut up and let them work, i'm so impressed that everyone here is so perfect that didnt have any issue in their perfect life, just shut up and let them work, the DLC will be available when they will fix it, your rantings and stupid comments arent gonna help them for sure.

Things can go bad sometimes, happens to everyone, and dunno if you noticed but everyone here is whining for a 5$ content release, get your brain together and stop shooting against a company that should be supported, not spitting in their faces.

LOL, I just logged on to see if my specializations were supposed to have vanished with the patch. Good to see somebody else noticed and it is being looked at.

Sorry, but this borders on incompetence, Softimage. Why should I support incompetence?

It doesn't matter if it is $5 or $50.

This thing has been handled poorly, from what I can see. A single delay sucks, but yeah, **** happens. Two delays, and the vague explanations from Bioware seem pretty unprofessional to me. For DLC that has already undergone a week of repairs to be recalled is ridiculous. As someone else mentioned, this kind of thing reflects poorly on a business.

n0y0ki: it is strange that it even went that far for you. It said it wasn't available in my region, haha.

I will just put off playing the game more. After hitting 20 and beating the other 2 dlc, it was really all I was waiting for. Minus the content in March.

Hopefully my specs aren't locked. It auto updated when I popped in the game last night.

Ignorance is bliss!

I don't think the major problem is the delay in the release of a 40-minutes content DLC for PC and PS3 users, but the fact that who downloaded the dlc is now experiencing bugs (even big ones, like the spec-thing) that basically ruin the game.

I'm glad I'm not the only one pissed about this. Good to see that some other nerd-types don't believe this kind of thing is acceptable. Not that whining speeds up the ETA of the DLC, but it's certainly interesting to see what other players think of this.

it's not the $5 content that has me upset. It's the patch that messed up my $60 game. Well $65 if you include the DLC. Softimage why do you care if people are whining. They have paid for game and have earned the right to complain if they are so inclinde. Have you never complained or been less than satisfied with a product or business.

That's funny to hear. First is "life in prison w/out parole" for those who got that which shall not be named. Then it is those incompetents and now "give 'em the sack".

I don't suppose you own any business or never had a bad day at work, which I hope is not as a Court Judge. You'd suck at it!

Guys, I don't know if anyone's checked, but I deleted RTO DLC from my xbox hard drive. Then, just to see if I could, I checked the downloads page and it offered the choice to download it again. So I did, checked my hard drive, and found the full 134 MB's worth of DLC back.
I haven't downloaded the update. Haven't launched the game, so I couldn't tell you if it's working properly or not.

Just in case, don't try it. Unless you are ready to brave potentially corrupting all your saves...

I appreciate your advice and agree with you.  I plan to delete it again.  I just re-downloaded it as an experiment to see if it was possible, and lo and behold, it was.

I'm too busy with work and haven't played the game since last week, and I won't get around to playing it again till next week anyway.

bioware lots of people now have low confidence on your products. what are you gonna do about it? is this the failure of Bioware and its partnership with other publishers? such a big big failure for a very small DLC. what happened bioware?

Ok nothing to see here just another insipid fanboy. Do you believe in unicorns and that fairies live at the bottom of your garden

:wizard:

And just a heads up since you couldn't be bothered reading the posts. The PATCH, that we have been waiting for for nearly THREE MONTHS, that was meant to fix the game BROKE it even worse. Thanks for understanding.

In general, Bioware standards seem quite high, so these delays do seem somewhat surprising. I agree that it has been a pretty big failure regarding a small (if rather awesome looking) DLC. It'd be a shame if people were losing jobs over this, seems a little extreme; I doubt it would be considered by anyone who matters anyway. However, It will be intriguing to wait and see what Bioware does in the future to make up for this. And yes, something really should be done to affirm customer satisfaction. If I produced poor work for my customers, I'd be inclined to give them a discount or something, just to make them feel appreciated. This same concept isn't exclusive to small business's such as mine, but also in larger companies.
