Maybe if you took your time to actually read my posts, instead of selectively reading only the ones that insult your fangirl self, you'd notice that I give a LOT of credit to bioware where and when it's due, as much as I criticize them where and when it's due.

That's what they call being balanced. Unfortunately some wouldn't understand balance even if it jumped on them and bit them in their rear.

I don't see anything as being "balanced" when you expect a personal visit from a CEO (which in all my years of online gaming...happens RARELY...well there was Mark Jacobs but he's no longer at Mythic)

And also your attempts at ignoring what has been offered up so far..such as an apology...which has happened and you deny.   Such as information offered up by the community manager which is perfectly valid but you deny.

Plain old rabble rousing Abby.

For being balanced as you claim, you sure have an odd way of showing it.
Usually, balanced people don't outright dismiss the arguments of others in a debate.
Course, I would never stoop to accusing you of such. I've already learned that's pointless.
Killing time in these forums though does help the work day go by faster, though I have to hurry to finish these fries.
Ostagar will be out before you know it.
Feraele and I can then enjoy some great Bioware gaming instead of this banter.
Finally, at that point, this whole mess will be over.

I'm not confused at all, Fera's made it pretty obvious on more than one occasion that she believes the DLC itself is broken or unfinished. Its why when you ask her to logically explain why a title update on the 360 can hold back the DLC on the PC she either has nothing to say aside some snide comment, or deflects and changes the subject.

Okay. So point to me where she says that in the comment she made and you qouted.

This is not a discussion about what she has said in the past, but what you qouted and claimed was misleading.

Considering she says the same thing everyday and tries to mislead people into thinking its either incomplete content or that those who've played it are wrong what difference does it make? Either way she consistantly not only contradicts herself but aparently can't actually debate what people say and instead has to take snips out of posts instead to try and hammer some rediculous notion that people are hating on Bioware for the sake of hating on Bioware.

You know because for someone who's bought and enjoyed every title of there's since BG 1 that totally my aim, to just hate on a developer who's titles I've enjoyed muchly over the years.

It eases my nerves when I can get an update, even if its "yeah we're still working on it". 5 days with no information or communication drives me crazy and Im sure a lot of people feel the same way.

So a shout out to Bioware, please give us a little update every couple of days.

I've watched this RTO nonsense for well over a month, multiple threads swelling to hundreds of comments only to be locked and reborn, so here is my two cents.

If you have been ripped off or pissed off by BW, as I have, stop complaining.  Stop arguing with the shills and dimbulbs who make out like the situation is somehow your problem.

Simply resolve to not purchase a BW product again.  That is how the market works.  Companies which put out poor quality products (and the numerous unfixed bugs in DAO make it mediocre at best) and/or screw around with their customers (RTO) tend to lose said customers.

No one cares about your gripes on a board.  They may pretend to care, and appoint some 'community manager' to pacify the sheep, but NO ONE CARES about your complaints.

Companies ONLY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY.  If you want to send a message don't spend your money with BW, its as simple as that.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming....

I think you may want to look at your own computer, instead of blaming the developer.  I have played DA:O through nearly three times, and I have not had any problems at all.  Perhaps you should review optimal requirements before buying a game.

Maybe you didn't play that many games or hang out on enough official forums. It's actually a quite common occurrence. Given the nature of the gaming market many high ranking professionals feel that direct communication with the most active part of their fanbase is very advantageous. And I tend to agree.
Also, facing disgruntled customers personally is a clear sign of professionalism and responsibility.

And also your attempts at ignoring what has been offered up so far..such as an apology...which has happened and you deny.   Such as information offered up by the community manage which is perfectly valid but you deny.

I'm sorry, but the scope of this debacle goes a bit beyond the damage control potential of an extremely mild "we're sorry" from a blameless party, without any actual information on the status of the product besides a "we're working on it, please wait", preceded and followed by several days of absolute silence.

And what if this update is out of BioWare's hands at the moment? What if they're waiting on word from Microsoft, or maybe even Edge of Reality?

They need MS or Edge of Reality's permission to give a status update on the PC version?

They could always tell us that.  It's update as well.  Even if there's no timetable with it.  Although I doubt MS or EoR are the holdup.

Considering I never mentioned anything about any CEO's needing to do anything I'd appriciate it if you'd stop taking posts out of context. Thanks.

The one and only thing I've asked for is a bit more info about why the PC version is actually delayed beyond we're working on it, or because our title update for the 360 was crap. Nothing more nothing less. Take off the rose colored diehard fangirl glasses off for half a second and actually read the full posts that you're so gladly cherry picking comments from.

EOR wouldn't need to be consulted about the PC version, no.
If they're waiting on a status update from either or both parties, however, that could be cause for the holdup.
Nothing to do with permission at all.

Even if it is "out of thier hands" for a real solid update they could still come in and say something. Im just saying in my opinion it really helps if Bioware would communicate a little. I think its good customer relation.

But apparently thats just too demanding for the insulting people on this forum.

You're not gonna see a CEO here..to put it bluntly...what you think you're that special...tee hee give me a break hahahahaha

Hmmm. Here's a pretty good representation of why this thread, this company, and this very world is going to the crapper quick and readily.

You're right Feraele. You're not special. You're just a consumer. Don't ask for much do you? That's nice. How nice to be nice.

There is no other industry I can think of that'd get away with what BioWare has gotten away with. Video games are a luxury item for people with money to waste, and is given a very loyal and devoted consumer base. And as we've seen, that leeway is taken for granted. If this were a smaller company trying to earn customers, anyone who purchased BioWare Points on January 13th (when BioWare said on this forum that RtO would be ready "later today") would've been offered a refund RIGHT away, and we probably WOULD hear some apologies from the higher-ups. Any other industry, any other product: I wouldn't have to ask for a refund, a refund would be common sense. I wouldn't have to come back again and again to the forums for news: the company would be instead eagerly giving news to me. Imagine ordering a sweater from your favorite major clothing retailer. Imagine ordering parts for your car. Imagine any other tangible product and imagine how it's delay would be handled by the company to you, the customer who has already paid.

But even in this now-utterly-crap industry, Feraele, some business owners don't consider their paying customers to be simply not worth talking to - and whatever the customers may be saying, the owners have the decency and cajones to address their customer directly. Did you not know that?

Granted BioWare is a division of EA now and are one of the biggest names in the industry (not the small developer some people claim it to be in their nostalgia) with two #1 titles releasing close together drawing in major sales for this year, and a major MMO cashcow in the oven. So yeah, I suppose now we are just peons to them because they really ARE a "Big Business", one of the biggest in their field. And such is modern society that customer service is just an unnecessary expenditure for a company like BioWare with fans such as they have, such as you.

Why not just close this thread until you (BioWare) are ready to make an announcement on the release of  RTO?

I see the vocal minority still haven't taken my advice. All your whining isn't going to get the DLC out any sooner. I'll admit, it is fun reading some of the crying you guys are doing though.

Here, let me open a new box a tissues....

Another reason for concern on the delay and silence surrounding RtO is how it reflects on Awakening. If they can't even be reliable with a small little DLC they are going to see a serious flamestorm if something similar happens to Awakening.

It's not too much to ask for a little communication. You've got it.

What's too much to ask for is more than the communication you've been given.

BioWare is only at liberty to tell us what we need to know. I wouldn't expect them to tell us anymore than that.

We are paying customers, yes... some of us have even paid for RtO already and aren't able to play it because of this cafuffle. They certainly are more irritated than the average fan. But most people have NOT paid for it yet, and so we are owed nothing. Even the explanations we've been given weren't owed to us.

Anyone that has spent money on points, and is fed up with waiting, I suggest requesting a refund. Otherwise, you've lost nothing, so quit your bellyaching.
