Handheld himself got all excited when he saw the dlc then he tried to download it and it got angry at him. Bioware you are cruel to make handheld get excited like this.

Do I need the update to play Return to Ostagar? I don't want to delete Return to Ostagar and I would rather not be able to use specializations than deleting Return to Ostagat.

Is there any way to uninstall this catastrophe of an achievement patch? That's what I get for connecting to Live, I guess.

I think once this content actually makes it out everybody who has had to deal with it from BioWare is going to need a week off and a pint. This must be one of the worst weeks they've ever had.

Good luck getting the PC out soon

At first I thought everyone was just plain nuts about this whole thing, but now I'm beginning to understand their childish anger. xD

Xbox this and Xbox that, how about info on other platform releases?

well I got the update... I was going to get the DLC but also got an error. Should I clear the cache on my 360 to remove the update? Or is it going to get patched soon?

How the hell did this get past testers? I'd love to hear the excuse for this one.

Understandable. Bugs happen. I'm not going to flame you guys for taking down an update that was obviously messed up. I was excited, and now I'm disappointed, but I'll live!
Thanks for letting us know so promptly, less than 2.5 hours for turnaround is pretty awesome.
Still looking forward, and I have my xbox points purchased!
Can't wait!
One question though...are my classifications going to be messed up if I downloaded the title update on accident?

Unfortunately that seems to be the case. I avoided RtO like the plague because of the bug reports, but since I downloaded the update this morning all my specs are locked out.

I was just thinking exactly the same thing! These guys are really going to need a holiday. I bet blood pressures are dangerously high.

Most likely a patch would fix your specs, yes. Just gotta be patient.

I would seriously like to know who in Microsoft decided it was a good idea to push the release for the 360 version of RtO.

To be fair, it was the xbox version that was released and locked out a lot of people's specializations. So it makes sense to focus on remedying that issue first. I am just as excited about the DLC as you all are but I understand why they are focused on the already pushed out and bugged xbox update.

Bioware shouldn't tell us when they plan to release stuff. When it ends up getting delayed its always chaos.

With all the XBox 360 probs, this does not surprise me. No, I'm not bash 'em. They had a bug they couldn't resolve immediately, so they pull the plug.

I did not download RtO and I can't remember that I downloaded a "title update" either. But my specialisations are locked too ... in all save games (excluding the specialisations that are actually used by the charas). How can this be? Did the "title update" downloaded and installed itself automatically ... or did it hide as an Xbox 360 system update? O.o

Thank you for keeping us updated.

The less vocal majority does in fact appreciate that mistakes happen and whining about it across 300 soon-to-be-locked threads isn't going to help.

Thanks again to the tech and community support teams. and please keep us abreast of any developments. I promise we won't *all* freak out. :-)

We don't know for sure it was microsoft. Anything besides what Chris and the dev have posted is pure speculation. It may be that the bug wasn't caught by internal QA because of the way achievement propagating is handled on xbox live or something and it was an intended release with an unintended bug. Or it could be as others suspect (myself included), an early unintended release.

Either way, the only thing we can do is to wait. If you find yourself getting irritated step away from the computer and take a break. Flaming people on the forums or berating Bioware won't get the DLC out faster. It may be cathartic, but its certainly not constructive.

I just want to know if the PC version is still on track for the announced release...

If this problem is indeed confined to the XBOX 360, then there is no reason they can't confirm this for us.

Actually....mine are all okay.  I've levelled twice and everything seems to be working as usual.  I've even restarted and checked.  It all looks good.  *fingers crossed it stays that way*
