Didja feel a slight breeze there? Yeah, that was "the point". You missed it.

Is there a thread for non-spoiler reviews of RTO yet? I'm torn on whether to buy it - on principle I don't want to but I have lots of time and lots of boredom at the moment, so am wondering what the concensus is from those who have managed to get it.

The spoiler-free comments i've read so far mostly say that the DLC is fantastic story-wise, even if it's a bit too short (i wonder what people want for 5 dollars...) and  that there's quite a bit of unique loot (armor of the king, shield of the king, sword of the king, a good dagger and the best arcane warrior sword in the game).

Is there a way to uninstall the title update, and does anyone know if this fixes the problem.

no it just gets rid of any updates applied to games via xbox live...keep in mind it will get rid of all updates  to all your games so if you play another game you will have to download the patch again

Hmm very ominous silence regarding the pc version...

I think this is some secret psychological experiment....what happens if you make gamers repeatedly excited and then dissapointed? :)

I think the reaction would be kind of like Pavlov's dog...little bit here little bit there...keeps the lab dog drooling. :P

hehehehe  Massive conspiracy!!  *puts on tinfoil hat*  *grin*

Hey guys, (sorry for my english btw).

I wondering if Bioware though about Anora reaction in this DLC? I mean, players could return to Ostagar after some hours. Do you think Anora will find out and react, when for example, Alistair will have equiped Cailan's armor? It would be pretty nice if this little thing will be there, she possibly could say something like: "In Cailan's armor you Alistair remind me my dead husband even more"

On a passing note, In the light of this all, I can't help but wonder if Bioware is anywhere ready to handle a MMORPG like the KOTOR one...

Maybe they'll learn from this. So hopefully the support will be better in the future, but hey anything is better than support that actually cause more problems then it fixes.

Which saddens me, as I hate console controllers, hate hate hate hate hate.

But i wouldn't say PC is dying, but it is slow. PC right now is mostly MMO's, while everything else has gravitated to consoles (I heard consoles are easier to code, so that might be a reason why - but I don't know personally).

But I dunno, I'm a keyboard mouse person, instead of a controller guy. But if I have to make the adjustment I will.

Multi-player things seem to be pretty much stuck at PC (on the grounds of a lot of people communicating, ala MMO style). While more single-player games are becoming big on consoles.

This is epically funny. "Look at how many PC games come out." literally hundreds of pc games come out every month. Maybe 5-10 titles come out on Xbox and PS3 monthly. For all of the hoops great companies like Bioware have to jump through to get their content on consoles and all of the FAILS on the part of companies like M$, (hint, hint most likely yesterday's chaos), it's no wonder that small time and independent companies are sticking to PC. Don't be fooled by the shelves of whatever ___mart you shop at. Comparable to your $20 console titles the majority of small time, independently produced PC titles are available digitally only, or a hardcopy by request only.

That said I love my 360 and PS for what they are (which just btw,  WHAT THEY ARE: DEDICATED GAMING COMPUTERS), but I'd drop kick them both in a second if I had to, to keep my PC. Posted Image

Actually PC gaming isn't even near death. It's actually quite healthy. You do know that the most popular game out there is on PC right (wow)?

I downloaded and played it last night before finding out it was pulled from Live due to "issues". Storywise, it's well worth the price and I had no problems while playing, but then I'm unsure if the update also downloaded as I don't recall getting a message about it. (After downloading the DLC from marketplace, I disconnected from Live)

The only oddities that I found while playing is that all the enemies seemed seriously weakened next to my level 22 character (i.e. an orange level enemy health dropped 30% with one hit - this has never happened for me before) and there was no achievement (though I don't know if any are associated with the DLC as none were listed).

It'd be easy to point fingers at Bioware but it sounds more like the content shouldn't have been "unexpectedly" released by the provider. Hopefully when the fix is out for this content, the worst that will happen is that it has to be replayed using an earlier save.

Typical response from a console elitist scumbag. Last i recall consoles only have a few more exclusives that pc's don't get.

And PC gaming isn't "dying" considering developers are still developing games for the pc, hell there were a few games pc exclusive that still sold enough to make profit.

Hell just look at the entire sims franchise which sold over 100 million copies. Even the infamous activision and infinity ward still gave us the pc version of MW2.

No, you don't need to start a new game to experience RtO. A Post-End Game save (it's auto saved with that name) will do it. Although I'd think it is more enjoyable for an ongoing playthrough, with a party around 8-14, than with those already super hero chars post lvl 20 which:

1) can make the run super fast.
2) won't have any use for anything they find there since the actual game is over.
3) it's just a flash-back and not a continuation of the game since the post-game end save clearly states that it is set in a time "before" the actual game end.

The moral of this story is not to buy points ahead of release.

I have learned my lesson. I'm not throwing any more money at Bioware until the product I want is available.

And gaming industry made more money than the movies industry in 2008, afaik. Is that info correct? I mean... this is a huge industry now and PC plataform is a big part of it!
