I played Oblivion on my PC and I'm playing DA:O on my Xbox 360. I must say playing on 360 with a 46 inch Samsung HD 120HZ TV is better in my opinion. I know with PC you can make mods and other cool things, but for visual purposes and even game play (I suck at mouse and keyboard) I am for the 360.

Same with me. I just prefer my big TV and my lazy boy.

The moral of this story is not to buy points ahead of release.

I have learned my lesson. I'm not throwing any more money at Bioware until the product I want is available.

The problem is that most of us didn't buy the points strictly "ahead of release". We bought them when we have been told "it's already out for 360, coming today on PC". Most thought it was safe by then...

See Bioware? This is what happens if you go multiplatform and submitting yourselves to evils like M$, Sony and EA.

You do know PC gaming is dying right? Look at how many PC games come out, and look at the Xbox360 and PS3.

Typical response from a console elitist scumbag. Last i recall consoles only have a few more exclusives that pc's don't get.

And PC gaming isn't "dying" considering developers are still developing games for the pc, hell there were a few games pc exclusive that still sold enough to make profit.

Hell just look at the entire sims franchise which sold over 100 million copies. Even the infamous activision and infinity ward still gave us the pc version of MW2.

LOL... I laughted my ass off when the guy said " You know that pc gaming is dying right?" omg that's so typical from a huge retarded consual player... If you really want to push this talking I'd say that the xbox360 is dying.... and there is alot more pc gamers than xbox360 and ps3. I have both the ps3 and the xbox360 just to tell you

Same here I haven't purchased points ..either on the first announcement or this latest one.  Still waiting. :) Meantime I am watching all 4 seasons plus final 3 hours of Farscape ( tv series with Claudia Black)  ..I'll check back in ..in another few days.   LOTS of patience here.  :)

Let's not make this into a platform war. Consoles and PCs have to live and share with each other and it is good for developers to be able to reach as many audiences as possible, otherwise their business models become obsolete.

On the plus side for fans, the bigger the audience the bigger the budget and support the franchise will receive, so let's be happy about that... Now, my real complain with the situation is the communications meltdown. A lot of this could have been managed better, and I hope Bioware gets a "lessons learnt" out of this.

Who cares. Ignoring such people is much easier than it seems. And tbh I don't see a difference between console and pc gamers, I play in both and like them both for different reasons, and I don't feel I have to bash myself one way or another.
Rather than getting at each other's throats, lets get an unified front that emphazises "we undertand this is difficult but you are selling a product therefore you must deliver on your promises or we get upset".

Edit: Oh you edited the post. So back on topic, yes: can we please get more information regarding the issues that arised and the new release date on ALL platforms. If you do not know please say "we do not know, we apologize" or something! please?

Lots of people have said that during the early 90's. What year is it now? 2010.

If you run out of Farscape episodes there are 29 episodes of Stargate-SG1 with Claudia Black you can entertain yourself with. Starting form the episode Prometheus Unbound. Just FYI ^_^

Farscape the best series ever created.Glad the price dropped at Amazon to buy all 4 seasons and the Peacekeepers. Well checking out mods and watching Farscape keeps me occupied.Hopefully the dlc comes out soon but I can wait.

Yes they are in the business of selling products, part of that business is dealing with anomalies that come up...fix one thing another bug is created.   Thats software for you.    Been happening with gaming since the early days, I don't see thats going to change any time soon.

And as technology gets better..so do the bugs.  *smile*   Multi-platform applications can't be an easy thing to deal with....this is what is causing problems right now.

So it behooves the rest of us..."those of us who get upset over games or dlcs not releasing on time" to determine..that NO WE ARE NOT THERE YET...or no its not ready yet, and move on..do something else.   Or read forums for more how-to information, participate in more positive discussions, find something to do in real life, till this issue gets fixed, once and for all.

Getting upset about a dlc..just doesn't make sense, when there are more important issues in real life that are intensely more upsetting...than a game ever will be.

I'm waiting for this too, albeit patiently (which is more than I can say for some).  Projected release dates and premature releases or no, I personally think it's in everyone's best interest to not get all Alistair about this.  It's only
quarter to 2 here right now, so I can still hope.  But I won't **** and moan about how it isn't out, when today becomes tomorrow. BioWare is doing it's  best about being fair across all platforms with simultaneous release dates and every so often -though it has been in increasingly short notice- they find a critical bug.

I want this, and will damn happy when it's ready so people can stop whining. And also so the team can concentrate on other matters.

One last thing (slightly off-topic):  don't confuse DLC teams with EP teams.  The people developing DA:O-A are a seperate group entirely so it's plausable at least that they can find their own bug prior to March 16 and have it smoothed out when it does come out.

EDIT: constant editing for text colouring fail and text formatting fails.

Faraele I think the problem is when you make customers believe that they have bought a product when they actually have not, which some people have posted about.

I am not going to play the dlc for a while anyway, but I do think that the lack of communication and the overall "headless chicken" thing going on is bad for PR. Plus I would be really mad if an automatic update had screwed up all my data like many 360 users reported...

Maybe you should play DA:O on PC to see the difference. The graphics are quite visibly better, and the interface is TONS better, without even talking about mods.

A 46 inches screen that you have to keep at a distance isn't necessarily a bigger perceived surface than a 22 inches full HD monotor in front of your nose.

Quite the opposite, I actually play my PS3 and 360 on another 22 inches full HD monitor, simply because having it near gives me a better visual perception of detail.

The main thing is...the OP stated this had been pulled, so I do think they (Bioware) are doing their best to stay on top of things as they happen or are discovered.

Here's somethng to remember specifically with software and technology:  Murphy's Law:   What can go wrong..usually does go wrong. :)
