Hell just look at the entire sims franchise which sold over 100 million copies. Even the infamous activision and infinity ward still gave us the pc version of MW2.
Scumbag. . .
Oh I get it your one of toughs. . . .You know they guy/girl/it (( don’t wanna leave anyone out)) who, when they don’t have a solid argument resort to name calling.
Here are some facts.
PC games on average, sell less than the console. Now this could be in part to the fact that you get say MassEffect 1at a Christmas release date (( or there about)) on the 360 and than in May it come out on the PC. The Console is easier to develop for, considering you only need to build your game for one operating system, and, not say 4 or 5.
What’s driving the PC right now is Sims-type games and ‘WoW’ and a lot of stuff that’s in a Web-based interface, oh and the people still playing Crisis, and maybe some Unreal Tournament.
True everyone’s got a PC, but at $199 and $299, consoles are far cheaper than a PC. Consoles are also built for 7-10 year cycles, (( regardless of the failure rate.)) PC’ it seems like there’s a new OS every 3-5 years, granted this is needed for the PC, for other things and not just gaming. (( thank God for windows 7 )) That goes back to the specs. I will agree that some games look good on the PC, but more often than not the console will look better, its not that the PC can’t, its just if you don’t want the game to crash you wont run it at full parameters, not saying this is true for everyone, but look at the PC you have no, in 3-4 years do you honestly think you will be able to play the same games I’ll be able to play on my 360?
Short answer, No. Why because your PC by than will be outdated, and in need of upgrades in order to run the newer games that the 360 will run just fine, even PC‘s that are built for gaming fall to this.
So if PC gaming is not dead than it is taking a back seat to console gaming, and is dwindling into obscurely, becoming more of a casual gaming platform, like the Wii.
Sure you have your WOW, and sims like games, but that is what is keeping it alive. Every Blue moon you have something like Dragon Age, or Masseffect, But your Halo’s and your Gears of War, even tough previous incarnations made it to the PC, the current ones have no plan to move.
Now could I see the Console becoming like a game playing net book. Well look at the 360, twitter, face book, last FM, its only the beginning.
The Point is the console is in no way inferior to the PC. Now, are the companies that decide what programming can and can not happen on the consoles incompetent, yes much so.
Games like Dragon Age should be allowed to use mod content, that has less to do with the 360 and more to do with Microsoft not wanting the console exploited.
And before you all scream fan boy, I play PC games, and that’s why I feel I can say what I’m saying.
EDIT: The sims may have sould over a 100 mill coppied, but look at say Halo, hell thats all I need to say.

Actually the setup you see there is a money saver. You can pretty much be sure than any decent 46 inches full HD tv will cost you more than the two 22 inches full HD monitors and the TV you see in my pic. And given the average distance you have to keep from a big TV, the perceived visible surface will be pretty much the same.
@wikkedjoker the "your PC will be outdated soon" is an outdated argument. At the moment the hardware evolution race on pc gaming has slowed down a lot, and the hardware requirements of games didn't budge much in the last couple years. My main PC's newest part (a Geforce 9800 GTX ) is one year old, and at the moment I can play each and every of the newest games at max detail with no visible slowdown. A detail that easily trumps most console games of course.
There are several genres of games that belong on PC, and will probably never get a decent following on consoles until Sony or Microsoft wake up and understand that motion control is really unneeded when you can have the most intuitive and natural interface ever invented (the mouse). RTSs are an example. There are several RTS series never see release on consoles, like the Dawn of War series, or the Total War series. And they sell really, really well.
PC gaming will never die until consoles finally get a control scheme that can work well with all genres. The Joypad is too limited and motion control/waggle/IR pointer is not precise enough.

Best thing to do is....look for big blue bioware tag at beginning of a thread, Click that and only read what the Bioware folks have to say, that saves you alot of grief reading spam, insults, tirades..whines etc.

Nice set up, I had something close to that ((a lot cleaner)) before I moved in with my girlfriend (( now wife.)) Are apartment just didn’t have the space , for it, (( the wires are a mess lets be honest )) So I got a nice side TV and a 360 in the living room, and my computer setting across the room form all that, but I had to ditch a lot of the hook ups. My brothers got a REALLY nice Christmas present that year.

I would love to agree with you there, but that would mean Mass Effect should have stayed x360 specific aswell.
I do however would like the old days back, where 1 team handled consoles, and another handled pc (usually ending up in the pc version having superious gfx, rather then toned down ones cause it has to match console hardware)
Call me oldskool, but that worked just great.
What pisses me off most is this simultanious release crap, what's the POINT? Seriously, enlighten me, for I am in the dark ><'
This is easy. People are heavely spoiling in the no-spoilers section. If you release for each of the three on a different date, those that get it first will be spoiling as hell, as well as the ones who get it second in line, and the who are last will be pretty pissed and complaining that they are mistreated since they get it last and probably won't buy cause they have read everything here.
Even now, when it's seems to be a clear Microsoft fault, people are complaining that XBox users get privileged. Just imagine the rants here BioWare would officially priviliege a system? *Shudder*
Simultaneous release is the only way out of this misery
With all due respect, but that doesn't make sense. The pc version of the DLC has leaked, mate of mine finished it already, and some people got it from the xbox marketplace, that's 2 platforms out of 3 being able to spoil. I for one (while not always buying all my games, hell, who does) will wait for the official release of this one, simply because the DA universe has come closest to what I want of a fantasy realm (that said I haven't played NWN yet).
What I'm trying to say it, 2/3 can spoil, yet I don't know anything (except for the loot that I can get, mentioned 1 or 2 pages back) and I've read tru most of the RtO topics.
Clearly, stuff goes wrong somewhere, I don't care if its BW, M$, EA or Sony, I just know it goes wrong, and some info from either party would be nice and much appreciated.
To get back on your mistreating: a few of my pc-gaming mates are looking forward to Assassin's Creed II, while some of my console-gaming mates already have it, played and finished it. Do my pc-gaming mates complain? Not really. Why would people complain about having a DLC at most a week later then the other platforms, while we pc gamers have to wait for MONTHS for another game (ACII is just 1 example, there are tons out there, check IGN/Gamespot)
General remark to the people who say this should be a PC-only title:
I'm sure most of you play(ed) and love(d) Mass Effect, and a fair amount here will also buy Mass Effect 2 in 2 weeks. This started as a console only title, I didn't hear console people whine about it being ported to PC, I even see people who bought both versions. Same for Jade Empire (even if to a small audience than Mass Effect)
My point being, we're all gamers, some want a controller, some want mouse/keyboard, but we're all in it for the same, and we're all here cause we love 1 specific game, why not get along in the first place?
/end of rant

This is quite right, though we'd have to say that PC didn't really affect the development of Mass Effect or Mass Effect 2 for 360.
It should be the same the other way around for DA:O. PC should be released now, PS3 should be released when it's ready, 360 should be released when the bugs are solved.
PC and consoles are different beasts and development/release roadmap should always be kept separate.
I don't see Bioware delaying the PC and 360 version to wait for the PS3 version, so they should extend the same treatment to the 360. Honestly I can't care the less if someone at Microsoft thinks that their console should always come first.

That's the problem. Those posts are filled with words, however there aren't really saying anything (of substance that is). There hasn't been any update on the PC version, other than the fact that it would be released...yesterday (it's even worse for PS3 users that seem to have been put "on hold" indefinetely) and the impression one gets from Bioware at the moment, is that they are still doing damage control from Xbox's "unexpected" catastrophe, I mean release.

While you say you play both console and pc, you still talk like a console fanboy.
The reason pc gaming sells less can be answered with 1 word: piracy.
Sims and wow aren't keeping us alive dude, get your facts straight, there's Call of Duty (lets forget the horrible failure that is modern warfare 2 for a moment), CSS, TF2, There's Morrowind, Oblivion, Fallout 3, NWN (2) (which both still have a huge community online), the battlefield series, the list is endless. I'm not even gonna start mentioning f2p micro transaction MMO's.
Also, RTS on console? Good luck with your micro, champ.
PC's have modding community's, dedicated servers on (almost, *cough* MW2) all shooters (which are by far superiour to the matchmaking their console counterparts have).
As for the graphics, do you REALLY think x360 will look BETTER in 4 years compared to pc gaming?!
Sir, you make me wanna /facepalm! Consoles have their current hardware, which (should) work with the games that come out for it, pc on the other hand has an options menu (or even a .ini file) where you can tweak the settings for your machine.
Long rant short, get your facts straight
