From the looks of it, it seems Bioware needs to get busy on two fronts. A. Keep the promise to PS3 and PC users about getting the DLC out and actually putting substantial evidence of WHY it has not come out yet. And B. Put forward an estimated time on when the Xbox360 update fix will take place. Everyone will be MUCH happier if this occurs, guaranteed =)
Do you actually think that most folks here would be interested in "substantial evidence" and ..who do you think would have time to sit down and write this book..to satisfy our curiosity? ^^
What more substantial evidence do you need? The title update borked the 360 version not the dlc. Chris said as much, also said the PC version would be release yesterday, (still waiting) and we've heard nothing since. We don't need a book, just to know weather it's worth sitting around waiting to see if the PC version will be out today or not.
Personally after seeing what happened to the 360 one, I don't want the PC one until I *KNOW* it's going to be bug free. I'm willing to wait.

I'm just wondering how it's possible that microsoft (Microsucks) manages to get all titles that come out either for xbox alone or have a port to xbox too? In my opinion a PC is still the best gaming platform because a PC is more versatile then an xbox and you can still run new games on sum older machines. When it comes to xbox, since they made the 360 variant no more games are made for the old xbox, every1 that has an xbox was forced to buy the new xbox 360 to keep up with the games. With a PC, you can enjoy games longer before needing to either upgrade or buy a complete new system then with game consoles.
If bioware was smart, they'd only made DAO for the PC, problem solved when it comes to bugs on 1 platform and maybe no bugs on another in which case many players would have been able to enjoy RTO already buy now instead of having to wait because the xbox is unable to play it normaly and the rest just has to wait for it.
I sincerely hope that gamedevelopers will ignore xbox for a change and stick to the PC only so a larger public can enjoy games. In our country almost every household has a PC by now but only half has an xbox or ps3 or whatever. They'd reach a greater public with PC only here.
How could they reach a larger audience by only offering the game for PC? Releasing a game on multiple platforms generally equates to more units sold, because the target market for the game has increased.

In what world is this exercise in folly and frustration not poor customer service? After being teased by yesterday's shenanigans, stood up on Jan. 5th like a bad blind date, and left with nothing from BioWare under the digital Christmas Tree, I am sick of chasing this carrot. The cake is a lie.

I think that Abriael_CG should be put in charge of any information releases. Straight to the point and with facts. Thank you for your post(s)
You're very welcome. Unfortunately besides general notions on how the gaming market works, I'm in the dark as much as anyone else.
I'm actually starting to get a tad miffed, given that office hours have started quite a bit ago in Edmonton, and the latest piece of news about the PC version of the DLC is "it's coming out later today". Yesterday.

But if almost every1 has a PC and every1 buys a PC version, wouldn't that reach the same amount of sales if the half who have the xbox only buy the xbox version and the other half buys the PC version? If both halfs bought the PC version, you have the same amount sold.

I was just wondering... Which version is better for DAO: PC or 360? I bought the PC version cause X-Play said it was better, but why does it seem 360 gets games/content faster than other platforms? *Looks at my 360 w/ disgust*
PC: On basically every aspect. Better Graphics, more enemies on screen, better interface and control. The 360 version is a quite inferior port.

I have a Mac, and from what I understand DA:O is terrible on the Mac platform. I also have an XBOX360. If DA:O was only out for PC, I would not be able to purchase it. If it was only out for PC and Mac, I would not purchase it due to the reviews I have read regarding the Mac version. Since it's out for XBOX360 as well, I was able to purchase it, and love it. Granted, I'm only one person, but I'm sure there are many others out there with a situation similar to mine. I don't think Bioware/EA would release the game on multiple platforms if they didn't feel it was more profitable that way. Just my thoughts...

You know, I read this, and if this were the FIRST time it was delayed because of a bug, I would agree with you. But this is the THIRD time it is being delayed. At this point, finding bugs in a product that has gone through two different testing phases and prepared for release, is downright unacceptable. <_<

well I think the delay just goes to show they don't just toss it out half assed. They care enough to make sure its working the way it should and that we'll enjoy it. I'm just doing other quests in the mean time and tying up loose ends.

Excatly, get the job done right, not quick.
If you get it done quick, the whiners get a buggy game which will just make them complain some more.
Just like they didn't need to say January 5th. Their new company slogan should be
Bioware : Where we write cheques our ass cannot cash.
No one forced them to say the PC version would be available yesterday. They chose to announce that themselves, then blew it *again*.
