You're assuming there's nothing wrong with the PC version. Given the lack of information at this point, I wouldn't just jump to the conclusion that the PC version is ready to go.

Then it only takes actually telling us :D

Given that the last piece of information about the PC version is "will be out later today", yesterday, and the ONLY information we have about the bug is that it's related to the xbox 360, we're led to believe that the PC version is held in the freezer because the 360 version is being prioritized.
Which is disappointing to say the least.

Agreed, but there's really just no info to draw any conclusions from.

Why is my DLC still sitting in the freezer while we fix another systems woes?

Considering the PC version doesn't require a patch to fix achievements, and this is what broke the 360 version in the first place, I don't think its much of an assumption really. Though the lack of information is honestly the issue in the first place.

Looked to me like your company was ready to release it when MS accidently release RTO early.
That doesn't sound like there was much holding it back, sounds instead like it's sitting in the freezer due to a contractual agreement with MS.
Now, either you guys are stupid for signing such a thing or you guys are stupid for only explaining half of the problem.

I'll just point out that I'm not a BioWare employee. I'm just a community member like you and everyone else here. I have no more knowledge of what is going on than the rest of you.

In other words, "who cares about those stupid 360 players! The only ones who matter are the PC players. We want everything when promised, after multiple delays"

Fixed it for you.
And yes, honestly we don't care about the 360 version, and I don't see why we should other than for generic sympathy that doesn't change the fact that if the PC version is ready, it should be released.
If it's not, they should at least apologize for announcing that it was and prompting us to pay for it.

Did it occur to you that BW might be more concerned with fixing the games for people who cannot play, rather than catering to those who are just impatient?

That's why they have multiple teams to work on different versions of the game. There's absolutely no reason why a bug in the 360 version of the game should delay the PC one.

Which is possible, as it does not seem that the XBL server reset that was thought to have caused the problem actually fixed it. (If that was the issue, it would have fixed itself once all XBL servers were refreshed with the correct patch today. That did not happen.) Given the initial idea what what happened seems to be wrong, wouldn't you prefer BW figure out what happened, rather than just say "It's an XBL problem" and sending a bug to everyone?

It only takes actually saying that. The latest information we have indicates that the bug is limited to Xbox and the PC version is ready. Either release it, on tell us why they aren't. It's that simple.

Oh yes the text based verbal lashings and hollow threats are soooooooooo scary.

hollow...i think not... with all the questions and complaints they could develop carpal tunnel if they were to answer them all...fear the carpal tunnel!

ouch that strikes home. I will turn 28 in two weeks and two weeks after that I go in for surgery to fix carpel tunnel.

i know the feeling. i'm 32 and have been dealing with it for about 3 years now...too much gaming i guess. it's the main reason that i have amost switched entirely to console gaming...it's much easier on my wrists and hands

Not from that but there are good and salient reasons to draw conclusions from the hundreds of people who said they played through it perfectly fine on PC already since the 6th.  It would be kind of sad if steps had been taken in the direction of breaking functional content.

Apparently the Xbox problems were from the patch and not the dlc so at present I can't think of a good reason to suspect RtO isn't working fine.  If BioWare were more informative I would suspect that their choice not to release it must mean it is still being worked on or finalized but at this point I don't see why I would give information they provided that much weight given the track record on this topic.

You're right, I should make it more clear I'm not insulting you personally.
On the other hand, the company you at least have the image of representing (paid or not) potentially falls into one of those two afore mentioned categories of poor judgement
Frankly, as both a consumer of your product and an investor in EA Games,  which it is happens to be a matter of great importance to me.

Umm as a mod, might you not have access to said info? Posted Image Maybe hop over to QA and buy the test lead a beer and get the scoop on the situation.. then come back and enlighten us?

Unfortunately mods are just unpaid volunteers that take upon themselves the responsibility to keep the community at bay. As far as I know they are not based in the Bioware offices and have no direct access to the development team. So the poor guys can't do nothing else than throw a bucket of water in hell. :(

We are still working on details for all versions of Return to Ostagar and the title update issue.

When we have information, we'll make it known.

To be honest Chris, this is exactly the "non answer" answer that's going to inflame the community further, with reason.

I hope you're aware of the fact that you could have posted in and said "good morning". It would have given us exactly the same amount of information.

You cannot in all honesty think we believe that you guys  have no idea if the bug extends to other versions of the game, and if the PC version is ready for release or not.
As a long time customer and a fan, i can only say this kind of attitude disappoints me even more.

And please, pretty please, as a personal favor, stop with the little devil smiley, if any, it makes us feel mocked.

Why do I get the feeling that the level of department communication at Bioware is probably as stellar as my job? Thanks for stopping by anyway even if there wasn't much to say.

Guess the waiting game begins again. At least I have things to do today so I can avoid threadstalking.

Not to be a ****** by pointing you out specifically, you just happened to be the latest post of this type that I saw. BUT...

For anyone making comments like this.. really? What if you were one of the 360 or PS3 owners hmm? Say you had this nice, shiney gray box sitting by your t.v. instead of a computer on a desk (or whatever the set-up is). What if you were on the other end of that type of statement?

I am not trying to flame anyone, or call anyone or their comments out in any way, but look at it realistically. From a business and professional standpoint it is not "fair" to release content to one platform and not others. Fair being a bad term to use but there you have it. How many of the posters in this forum are actually NOT going to purchase the content because it was "late"? Nothing is ever late in the gaming industry to be honest. Things go wrong. Period. Bioware would upset a LOT more people if they released the content to one platform and not the others. When favoritism is shown towards one, the company has to deal with all the other users being pi**ed about being shunned.

That is a far worse decision to make compaired to the alternative they decided to take. Yes we are all upset to some degree about haveing no word on progress of the "fix" or whatever.. That is fine. But to blatently claim any one console is more important by saying it should be released for said system.... That is selfish in my not-so-humble oppinion.

BTW: I am a pc player... So I am not taking the platforms' side due to that. I am 30 years old and have been playing games since Atari. This is nothing new, and a few days "late" isn't even close to what I have seen on game releases, expansions, or updates by a long shot. Patients is a virtue they say. Many people still need to learn that.

We have no idea what the problem is, so we're throwing darts at a board that has a list of potential problems on it. Whatever we hit, we'll try and work on that and see what happens.

I would honestly have more faith in that statement than the PR bull we've just been fed.

That's not an attack on Chris. He's just doing his job and saying what he has to. But it's still bull.

We deserve to know what the problem is and what the progress is on fixing it.

Clearing the Cache may work if you have not played the game sense installing the title patch or RtO, I tried clearing the cache after playing through it on two save games and now those to saved games are currupt, and the only save games that will load for me now are the ones I had not played, but the specs are still locked out on them.

This may not be the case for everyone just what happened to my system when I tried.

damn this keeps getting better and better (I unfortunately got the TU), nice to see I have something more to look forward to

frankly, I was a tad miffed at the first delay (from "the holiday season"),
I was thoroughly dissappointed at the Jan 4th delay, but still relatively receptive toward BW (that is if they were actually interested in transparent business practices rather that these crappy politician's press announcements)
Now, I am just kinda pissed, they hit strike three.  I don't know wtf they were doing, but this has negatively impacted my view of BW as a developer and my ability to enjoy DAO (see above).
I would be significantly more understanding were we kept in the loop, but this just reinforces the mass effect 2nd dlc fiasco's lesson--BW doesn't deliver on promises/commitments on time, with reasonable quality assurance, or with any respect for their customers.

I don't know who is really at fault here, whether it be EA, BW, or MS, but -24 approval to each
