What if I downloaded RTO yesterday before it was pulled off of Live. I have the specialization bug, but it seems that after I re unlock them I have no problems. I don't really mind either because I'm doing a new play through. I'd rather not delete RTO, seeing as how I paid for it already, and it's only a minor bug. Has anyone else had any other problems with RTO, and if i decide to keep it will there be a new patch or something?

Edit: Well actually, re unlocked Arcane Warrior scpecialization, last night, and now started playing again today Morrigan leveld up and Arcane Warrior is locked again.:( Looks like the bug is alot worse than I thought, and it's sad to hear its probably from the stupid update. Oh well, guess I'll just put down Dragon age for a while and just forget about it. Shame that I spent the money on DLCI can't even really enjoy. Can't say I'm too eager to purchase more DLC after this debacle. Thanks alot Bioware

When we have information, we'll make it known.

To be honest Chris, this is exactly the "non answer" answer that's going to inflame the community further, with reason.

I hope you're aware of the fact that you could have posted in and said "good morning". It would have given us exactly the same amount of information.

You cannot in all honesty think we believe that you guys  have no idea if the bug extends to other versions of the game, and if the PC version is ready for release or not.
As a long time customer and a fan, i can only say this kind of attitude disappoints me even more.

And please, pretty please, as a personal favor, stop with the little devil smiley, if any, it makes us feel mocked.

Sorry but you basically in this thread have been stating all along that the PC version of RTO was possibly not affected by the console title update problem.

Chris just stated in what you quoted him saying:  "We are still working on details for  ALL versions of RTO" (capitals my emphasis)

Being he said ALL versions ..that tells me that the PC version also has some sort of problem that they are working on..or fixing, or checking, but are not ready AT THIS TIME TO REVEAL, if they ever do.   I don't think they need to tell us every fiddly thing they do..in order to get the game out to us.

I  think we need to slow down..quit annoying them, be patient...go onto other topics ..and the NAG factor needs to stop.

Nagging doesn't get any of us anywhere...it closes their ears to us....in future it might be important to have access to those ears..so let them figure out whats wrong, or track down whats wrong, without alot of unnecessary stress being laid on their shoulders, I am sure they have enough to deal with as it is.

As for the devil smiley...it is part of his "signature" if you will..and not up to you to tell him he can't  post it.............thats a control issue on your part..wouldn't you say?  I don't react to it all..matter of fact didn't notice it til you mentioned it...still doesn't affect me.

I can't help but giggle seeing some xbox users that yesterday were all jeering and mocking the PC and PS3 users while downloading the DLC while we were waiting, and now scream that fixing their version should come before everything else.

And if the PC version had come out and then glitched, you would be doing the same thing. Don't bother to deny it, as you've already said your only concern is your own game, not those of us who had our games screwed.

Oh, and BTW, clearing the cache and playing offline caused my existing saves to not load at all since I have an item that requires connection to BW's servers. So to go back to a comment I made earlier that you denied, my existing games ARE broken and unplayable, as I cannot access them without logging in, and I can't log in without glitching new games.

Looks like Microsoft's "Xbox before everyone else!" attitude has rubbed off on part of their userbase as well.

If you had bothered to read the forums, you would know the early release of RTO had nothing to do with official MS policy (it was an accident) and the glitch is not connected to the RTO release as it hit people who did not buy RTO.

Hopefully Bioware is working on getting the PC version released as soon as possible.

Hopefully BW is working on an actual problem and not wasting time on something so minor.

Edit: After I posted this, I saw where Chris said the TU was removed from XBL. So I take back what I said about my old games being completely unplayable. Hopefully I can play online now.

 Annoyed greetings from Spain. B)

Hhhmmm.... One can't keep wondering about the cause of all this. Quite frustrating, really. I can almost sense my character tapping with her foot on the Imperial Hwy waiting for this DLC to come.

as difficult as it is to do, I think I'll just ignore Ostagar (and Awakening) until they've been real world play tested. with a new computer on the way, I might as well just mess around with conversations and experiment with stuff now. I'll be happy if everything transfers to the new PC.

B'ware - what a mess. I love this game - glitches, stupid text epilogue aside - but if I had downloaded paid-for content and it broke my game, I'd be ticked off.

*sighs* This music is starting to get a tad stale. I cannot honestly believe that the planning capabilities of Bioware are so poor that you guys cannot come out with a reasonable timeframe.

This kind of crap can happen, but the lack of real and transparent communication beyond "hey, we're here. we're listening but we are not telling you squat" is truly appalling.

I've seen similar debacles before in the gaming industry, but normally they were followed by the CEO of the involved software house, or someone equally high ranked posting himself to at the very least issue an apology and give some sensible information on how, why and when.
Here it seems that all is well, and that we are the bad guys for being impatient over a product delayed twice, announced for "later today" and then disappeared without a word, while many of us already paid for it. Appalling for sure...

whats getting old is the "soap box" gamers that seem to think simply because they want, perfection should ensue.
issues happen, especially when youre cross formatting to different machines, as well as microsofts "adds" regarding live.
so please, enough.
get over yourself and this sad thought of, "if i did it, it would have been perfect from the instant i said so"
if thats the case, then by all means, get coding and make it work.
if you need an "apology" to sooth you, by all means, call home/talk to your parents and tell them your woes,
im sure you'll get one.

I downloaded the patch yesterday, but didn't purchase RTO since im still playing the main campaign. I played yesterday & my character is level 7. Should i hold off from playing until Bioware releases a new patch?

n0y0ki, I agree with you it's unrealistic to ask for absolute perfection... I would trade that for, say, communication intervals by Bioware of less than 17 hours...

To whom may concerns: Leave this tiny universe for a moment and have a look into your real world. I am pretty sure that there are a lot of people (especially those living in the state of Haiti) which whould agree to me if I would say that there are actually much bigger problems than a further delay of a computer game (or a DLC).

Btw: I am an excited player of this nice game and also already invested some money into the extension.

I'm not sure if it has been mentioned in this thread, but several users at xbox360achievments.org are reporting that that cannot unlock the Recruiter achievement after yesterday's update.

I got the update yesterday, and getting closer to the point in the game where I would unlock this, and I would hate for it not to.

agreed also, but i would rather they be "in session" trying to figure out what happened and find a fix, than focusing on the website with screaming users.
thats just me tho.

Read what he wrote properly before spouting off junk. He emphasized that he was (understandably) annoyed with the lack of communication regarding the DLC, not the DLC delay itself. He wasn't preaching about if Bioware can code or not, so your whole "code it yourself" attitude shows just how little of the post you read. He wasn't even asking for an apology; he (and others) just want a bit more information about what's going on instead of just ("It's been delayed, but we can't tell you anything else").

While I've not read every post in this thread, I just want to let you know Chris that I appreciate the fact you are updating even if you don't have a timeframe or eta. It is reassuring and gives the perception that you are listening to those who are concerned about this issue. Thanks.

Bioware jacked up immensely (no debate on that in my opinion). They are human and it happens, not like it was malicious.

I will check back on this game in a few days to see if its released... until then I am just going to assume it will be taking awhile.

you have a right to be upset, agreed.
foot stomping and tantrum throwing isnt fixing a damn thing.
has it yet?
no.
they are doing what they can as fast as they can. yet people still want to act like spoiled children denied their candy bar.
if thats what makes you feel better, so be it i guess, but i have the "right" to find it disgusting.

As far as I am concerned, if you truly love the game as much as some of you claim, then you can wait...

Hell, we're all pissed that RtO isn't officially out and available with no bugs, but Bioware want the game out as perfectly as they can get it, as not to cause uproar when we play it, and it glitches, or crashes...

Sure, the teasing of whether its out or not, tonight, or tomorrow, or whatever IS insanely maddening, but the fact, there is even another dlc so soon, and an expansion announced fairly soon after that, beats all the **** we have to put up with...

I'm not nagging that anyone shouldn't crab about it, or moan and whine, but just look at the bigger picture, and realise that hopefully soon, we can all (PS3, PC and Xbox gamers) play the dlc, with no worries, and then look forward to Awakening...

I do give my sympathies to the people who lost their points and such, but, well, what can I say to that..... Its apparent.... **** does happen...!! Posted Image
