You know, rather being high and mighty about people who have legitimate claims to be ranting and raving, if you dont like the comments, might be well advised to stay out of the forums mate :)

Just a friendly suggestion.

apparently you didnt see that i and my family play bother versions,
we got nailed with the xbox glitch and also got denied the pc version release.
legitimate claims?
yeah ok.

again, what is needed?
" damn it i want my dl content for pc!, i want my locked specs unlocked again so i dont have to start over!"

bam, must be fixed now
combined we have over 500 hours invested in bother versions.
again, its not as if im enjoying this in any way, neither are they.
but come on, is it helping to point out ever little delay or issue?
has it gotten you ANY satisfaction?
it is what it is, happened the way it happened.
i dled the RTO content minutes after it hit live market a day early.
ran in with my rogue and had a blast, just to switch to my arcane warrior i had started 3 days earlier, just to see it all gone spec wise.
wasnt pleasant at all.
ranting at chris or any other site people isnt going to get it fixed faster.
why is that so hard to get?

Do you think that your posts are helping in any way, or do you just feel the need to vent?  Either way, you feel you have the right to criticize others while condemning them for doing the same thing you are doing.  Helpful?  No.

so critizing bioware who apparently isnt to blame over 60 pages IS helpful?
yeah, ok.
you have the right to blame people for issues, but i shouldnt say a word again.
my mistate, i didnt see the topic warning "ranting game fans only".
my mistake.

On the Recruiter achievement front, I too have downloaded and played through Rto yesterday. just before the landsmeet. I then recruited secret person to get the achievement but nothing happened. So I came on here to see if it's happened to anyone else, which it has. So it must be Rto or the update that has caused the problem. Anyway message to Bioware, when your fixing the Specialization problem fix the Recruiter achievement problem thats been caused aswell. Cheers Lads. P.S. don't take too long, once I start another game and get used to the controls on that, I'll come back to this and get killed straight away, no way for a Grey Warden to die, because he presses the wrong button is it :-)

Until you've actually written a complicated program STFU.
You can't compare being a consultant with being a programmer.
Any date they would give you would be a guess, and any attempt to meet that deadline could result in an unfinished or inferior product. Let them fix it, and get it right.

Anyway I picked it up before it was pulled. The bug isn't that bad and the weapons are choice

Wow, 1 learn manners 2 you can't tell him it's not a fair comparison. I think his main point was do not promise a date you can't meet & we desvere an estimation on the ETA (days, weeks, months, what) since lost of us have already paid for our product we are yet to recieve. 3 It's pretty hypocritical to tell someone to wait for the finished & better prodcut when you already have it.
Also any date shouldn't be a guess unless they have no idea what they are doing. Everything is planned. All of the DLC has some kind schedule finsih X by this date then start testing along with some estimated downtime I would assume in case they run into a bug.
Things like STFU are not necessary at all when you yourself are being rude, hypocritical & just a dick to someone you don't even know.

Apologies, Chris, but I'm sure you can accept that this is starting to get ridiculous.

BioWare have many PC based Dragon Age players by the balls (i.e. guaranteed RtO sales due to pre-purchasing the points), and that's one thing that's annoying us. We put our money down in anticipation a day before release (i.e. the week of Jan 5th) so we could get the content as soon as it went live. Nearly 2 weeks later, we still have nothing to show for the money, except a balance of 400+ points.

Some PC gamers are stuck in limbo with NO explanation due to leaked RtO releases on the DLC page. They thought it must have been out, clicked Purchase and can't download it. A lot of 360 players are annoyed the content went out early (possibly not BioWare's fault) and have game breaking bugs with RtO. The PS3 crowd have also been left in the dark with no idea when they'll get the content, just as it was on the 5th. I don't want BioWare holding me by the plums, and I'm sure many feel the same way.

Something needs to happen, and happen fast. RtO has caused a lot of problems, whether it's in-game or whether it's ethics, and it's starting to lose it's hilarity. One screw up, I can live with. Two, I'm alright with. Three+? Starting to question my belief in this company now, and I'm reading that others are going so far as to boycott Mass Effect 2. None of us need to know the exact details of the problems, and the detail we get now is fine, but it's the irregularity, the vagueness and the PR-riddled statements that are starting to wind people up.

They can delay future content all they want, I haven't paid for that yet. What I did pay for was Dragon Age Origins, and now they have broken it. They should be annoyed. I know I am annoyed. And I'm probably going to pass on ME2 now as well. I don't pay 59.99 for headaches and "when it's ready..." I can go buy other games, and I can trade this one in to do it.

I really have to agree, delaying RTO is fine I don't really care. BUT making the game i paid 60 for unplayable is unforgivable. They should have at least given you the option to decline the update, I coulld really care less about achievments.  Like you I was going to buy Mass Effect 2, but now not so sure, if this is how they treat their customers. I didn't pay 60 to play the game for 3 months and then have a broken copy now, and now have to wait for them to fix a problem they created. Guess I'll spend the money on Tropico when it comes out.

I don't know why everybody is so mad about the dlc anyways. Bioware is doing everything they can to get it out as soon as possible. I have downloaded the RTO for the 360, and yes the specs bug is annoying, so taking it off the market, and fixing it asap is the smartest thing to do. As for the PC users demanding that they get you the content right now is only going to create more problems in the long run.

To demand it would be a little presumptuous, but I think it would be a nice gesture of goodwill if Bioware/EA/Microsoft or whoever is ultimately responsible for the fiasco that has broken the 360 version were to reimburse us somehow. Perhaps a free or heavily discounted RTO for the first few days when it is finally fixed and released.

I can definitely say I agree with this post (while I'm not yet at the point of boycotting mass effect 2...  I've never believed in boycotts, simply because in the end they just damage the boycotter).

That is probably the only way I would consider future EA/Bioware products.  If they somehow make it right.

No, you have to download it to stay connected to the servers and Live, so in reality I had very little choice.

Why are so many people against others on having an opinion & venting frustration. I'm not bashing Bioware or MS. I'm relieving my aggravation but just through my opinion & statements of my disappointment in another broken promise while the company has my money. if you do not care for my or our complaining, rants, or what ever. There is a very simple solution, simply do not read it.

9/10 times if I read a post or response with something a long the lines :this game sucks" "i hate bioware" or people bashing each other I simply ignore it & find a more friendly post I can respond to but one thing I do not do is become a giant hypocrite & start complaining about others complaining. lol. Oh well the circle continues!!

Gee thanks Bioware. Not only did I spend over 80 bucks for a broken game but you come along and trample on the pieces that did work? Then give us the same tired lines that you have been for months? The old well we are working on it and we'll get around to it when we get around to it. Which lets be honest here translates into "we are working on things that will make us money and since we already have your money you are not our biggest concern".

I can maybe see sending people who have already purchased the content a free activation code over e-mail so we don't have to pay a second time. However I do not feel it is necessary to provide it free to everyone on xbox live, because some of us have a bugged version.

MASS EFFECT2 is quickly coming into my horizon, soon me and many others will not care about DAO and take our money else where. Games and DLC's have a shelf life and they're blowing it. Too bad because I love this game, but my attention span has it limits, the the urge to play some thing new will be its undoing. Fallout 3 should have been the example to beat on DLC or improve on, again a missed opportunity to really energize the base fans( and keep your coffers full)

Venting is cathartic.  Those who are venting frustration toward BioWare have caused you to vent your frustration to that.  We all feel a little better after venting, and no one has more of a right to vent than anyone else.  But since you are venting about the venting, that creates a paradox.  "I hate all the venting", he vented.  Who do we help by venting?  Ourselves.  So don't be surprised that people will still continue to vent their frustrations toward BioWare, and we won't be surprised that you will vent your frustrations toward the venters.  None of what you or I say will quicken the resolution of the problems, but we sure will feel better after having our say.  Good day.
