MASS EFFECT2 is quickly coming into my horizon, soon me and many others will not care about DAO and take our money else where. Games and DLC's have a shelf life and they're blowing it. Too bad because I love this game, but my attention span has it limits, the the urge to play some thing new will be its undoing. Fallout 3 should have been the example to beat on DLC or improve on, again a missed opportunity to really energize the base fans( and keep your coffers full)

I do think BW is happier to get 50-60 dollars out of you then 5.

Bioware has been transformed into an EA husk. The rank stench of EA is all over there customer care policy.

I don't know what sort of cut Bioware gets out of a game, but I can promise it's nowhere near $50-60

I get the whole mistake thing, and sure im fairly confident in the theory that programming is hard, having never done it, i cant be 100% but why not seems challenging enough.

I just wanna know how i can get that kinda leyway in my workmanship, i mean if i released a modified motor break system, or rolled out a new clutch to paying customers only to find it didnt only not do what i said it would, but bent their otherwise perfectly well working split shafts, or possibly mangled a direct drive link, there would be an investigation as to why i didnt do my due diligence, and most likely id lose my job.

Im just wondering how these guys not only dont get punished, but they also get legions of people defending them, they really gotta teach me that trick, not having to extensively test any components or modifications i design would save me literally weeks.

WHOOOOSHH!!!
I was attempting to point out the failure of his threat to not buy the DLC because he is going to buy a new game and that BW should worry about how they are not getting his money. When that game is another BW project.

On the Recruiter achievement front, I too have downloaded and played through Rto yesterday. just before the landsmeet. I then recruited secret person to get the achievement but nothing happened. So I came on here to see if it's happened to anyone else, which it has. So it must be Rto or the update that has caused the problem. Anyway message to Bioware, when your fixing the Specialization problem fix the Recruiter achievement problem thats been caused aswell. Cheers Lads. P.S. don't take too long, once I start another game and get used to the controls on that, I'll come back to this and get killed straight away, no way for a Grey Warden to die, because he presses the wrong button is it :-)

It happened to me before the patch. It might require more than one playthrough to get. Alot of people have been saying it didn't pop until thier second or third playthrough.

Gee thanks Bioware. Not only did I spend over 80 bucks for a broken game but you come along and trample on the pieces that did work? Then give us the same tired lines that you have been for months? The old well we are working on it and we'll get around to it when we get around to it. Which lets be honest here translates into "we are working on things that will make us money and since we already have your money you are not our biggest concern".

Seriously? You really think that or you're just trying to get a reaction? Yeah, probably the latter. I want to play the DLC now too, as I'm heading into my fifth landsmeet soon, but man ... with guilt trip powers like that, you should be married.

simply wait for the fix .
till then yes, be very worried after level 11-14 i believe.
all unlocked specs will then lock.

Well, I look at it this way....there is and is going to be LOTS of new stuff coming out to play so it numbs the pain....a little...of waiting for Dragon Age goodies to be released for ALL of the platforms.

My PS3 disapproves -9.

Oh, well I've only been playing my 18+ characters. It's no wonder I never noticed.
(ie: My characters have spent their spec points already)

I did not download the DLC. I booted the game on my 360 and got a box telling me that in order to play the game there was a required update. So my ****** said ok because I wanted to play. I could care less about the DLC I wasn't ready for it anyway. But now I just might return the game. Saps the fun out of it to fear losing hard earned hours of work anytime you are forced to update.

Other than the lead post in this thread has Bioware said anything about what they are doing to correct this issue or if they even can? Sorry I cannot bear to read through 50 pages of posts.

It will be more than they probably get for the DLC though which is why Addiction is right, it is funny when people state they ain't going to bother with DAO due to the issues but will get ME2.

If people felt really strongly about boycotting a company they should simply boycott the company not just one of their games. The way Sir Tal wrote his post was "I ain't bothering with DAO anymore, Bioware can forget getting money from me for this, am gonna buy ME2 and play that." erm... soooo Sir Tal, you are not going to give Bioware money for DAO but you are for ME2. Ahuh, good logic there ;)

I think they (BioWare) put glitches into the games just to keep players coming back to these forums to find fixes. You can't tell me they didn't know about the level up sequence with Duncan in Ostagar. Personally I like the idea of leveling up to Level 25. Makes the game much more fun because if you play the game legit, you never get past Level 20, which doesn't give you the chance to use a lot of the spells and talents. Therefore I never installed the update patch. Maybe they don't pay their employees enough to actually play and test the game for glitches before they market the game.

Alright, honestly? I'm fine with waiting for the DLC, if need be... but c'mon, SOME kind of patch to fix the previous problem as soon as possible, is all I really want right now. I'm essentially blocked from playing my saved game at ALL, because of this screwed up patch. I can't do the cache thing, because for whatever reason, the Lucky Stone thing doesn't load right away on my 360, and I'd have to connect to the DA Servers to get it working properly so I can load my saved game... which I can't do without reinstalling the broken patch. So, just a fix or hell, some kind of rollback, I don't know, so I can at least finish the game is all I want right now.
